"Thereee you go!", the pale girl said to you, patting your chest after tying your necktie on your police uniform.

"Thank you Dubu.", you said to her, grinning. You looked at yourself in the mirror, checking your look with your uniform today.

"You don't need to check yourself in the mirror, nothing ever changed about your look.", Dahyun backhugged you, now both of you are staring in the mirror.

"Then what's my look that never changed?", you looked at her through the mirror.

"You being handsome as always.", Dahyun confidently answered. You just smiled sheepishly, controlling your blush that is starting to emerge on your cheeks.

"It's early in the morning and you're being a heart shaker already, aren't you huh?", you turned around to your girlfriend and squished her cheeks, gritting your teeth because of her cuteness.

"Is there a time that I never been like that to you?", Dahyun smirked. You just rolled your eyes at her tease. The two of you just laughed.

"You know what, better prepare yourself next. You are going to be late.", you playfully pushed her aside. Dahyun just reached for her beauty items. "Imma go wait downstairs, ok?", she hummed in response.

To explain, you are a cop based in Seocho district in Seoul. You are working for day shift so everyday you need to wake up early to prepare for work. Your girlfriend Kim Dahyun's job is a music teacher in Seocho High School. She mostly teaches instruments like piano and guitar because that's the ones where she is mostly good at.

You and Dahyun met 5 years ago when you saved her from getting harassed and molested by a gang men near an alley. You were just on the way back to the police station along with your buddy cop Lee Felix when you two saw her being on that scenario. You stopped the car immediately, and you arrived to help her. Felix saw what you're about to do so he helped you fight off these punks. They surrendered and you checked Dahyun. That right there, is the start where you two slowly became close to each other.

You are always being looked by Dahyun as her hero. You helped her so much through everything in her personal problems and some other things. She owe her life to you, and she wished that she could repay you everything for what you've done to her. That's also the reason why she starts to fall in love deeply with you. She sees you as a perfect boyfriend and husband material. You have the qualities that Dahyun thinks other girls will be dying to look for.

Even you, your feelings for her grew more and more everytime you're with her. Everything about her is just attractive to you. You realized that Dahyun is cheerful and jolly person but deep inside she's vulnerable. She can easily break and when you now confirmed to yourself that you see Dahyun more than as a friend, you sweared in your life that a girl like Dahyun deserves to be loved, cared, served and to be protected.

You two confessed to each other one day, and both of you reciprocated each other's love. Now you two are now dating until in the present day. Still staying strong despite of the obstacles and challenges you two need to cross and face.

Back at the moment in your house, you go downstairs and sat at the couch. You used your cellphone for a while to check something in social medias. Then before opening an app, you saw a notification containing a message from your colleague Felix.

You clicked on it and read the message carefully in silent tone.

"Dude, please better go to the police station ASAP. We have some big problem to face, serious personal matter. Thanks... and also, morning!"

After reading the message, your eyebrows met in curiousity. You freezed for a second thinking deeply what's that serious matter about. Also, you found it weird and suspicious because there's something different about Felix. He doesn't say please to you when he wants your presence at the police station so it looks like he is definitely begging for you to show up. Second, he didn't mention your police chief this time because mostly, Felix only informs you this type of message because the police chief said so. You know for sure it will be about a meeting for a new case to help with... but this one isn't, so it makes you wonder how personal it is.

You gulped in nervousness and became silent for a while as the thoughts running inside your mind. Minute later, Dahyun came down from the stairs now wearing a flower-designed apricot dress, black heels and gray shoulder bag.

"Hey, did you placed your lunch box on your bag?", Dahyun asked you, holding your shoulders from behind.

"Yeah I did.", you said. "Anythings okay now? We should go, Felix informed me some serious matter about god knows what it is.", you stood up from your couch, grabbing your bag beside you.

"Yup, I'm ready.", Dahyun answered. She just nods at you after you said your reason why you two should leave now. The two of you exit the house, locked the doors, you started your motorcycle and drove off to Seocho High School.

"Enjoy your day, Dubu ok?", you faced your girlfriend, standing in front of the school building.

"You too, Y/NN. Be safe also at your duty.", and the two of you pulled each other for a kiss.
After ending it, you saw both you and Dahyun's friend, Minatozaki Sana who is Dahyun's colleague doing some fake coughs.

"Hehe, sorry to interrupt your sweet moment.", Sana giggled. "Good morning to you two!"

"Good morning Satang" "Good morning Sana-unnie."

"If I may take Dahyun away from you now, Y/N. Uhh we have a meeting right now in our faculty before we start the class.", she grabbed Dahyun's arm, pulling her carefully from you.

"What's the meeting about?", Dahyun asked.

"Preparation for the upcoming anniversary of this school."

"Oh okay.", Dahyun stepped closer beside Sana. "You better go now too, love. You said you have some urgent to attend to , right?

"Oh yeah, sure.", you said. "I'll go off now. Bye you two!"

"Bye!" "Goodbye! Thank you for letting me steal Dahyun from you starting today!"

"Hey you better stop there, Snake! I didn't mean it to be literal.", you teasingly shouted at Sana, pointing her while squinting your eyes. You call her snake because Sana has this clingy and seductive side where she uses it to tease others. Sana just laughed at your words. You start to walk through your motorcycle to head onto the Seocho District Police Station next.

"Oh finally you're here!", Felix immediately stood up from his seat after reading a magazine. He approaches you after as you enter the police station.

"Hey, what's with the message. Tell me about it, did something happened?", you go straight forward already, not letting to waste any more time. Felix frowned even more, making you stare at him closely. What's wrong with him?

"Uhh dude, I wanted you to come here because I need to say this to you face to face. I know this will concern you much so I needed to meet with you personally.", Felix said, scratching his nape. "A bus transporting some inmates got hijacked by some of the allies of one of the criminals being moved in to another police station."

"And...?"

"The driver and the other cops were hospitalized, they got beaten up by the inmates who got escaped. Some of those inmates were from this station...

... including your former bestfriend."

"WHAT?", your voice raised so high that you caught everyone's attention inside the station. They looked at you one by one. You said sorry to them after and the others returned back on doing their own business. "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING RIGHT?"

"I hope so too, but... sorry dude it's true. Cha Eunwoo was one of those inmates reported who got escaped earlier."

"What time it happened?"

"6:30 AM."

You sighed heavily. You put both of your hands on your waist as you looked around the station, tense is all over your body. You know you're so screwed up right now after learning that news.

Why are you worried? Some little flashback, Cha Eunwoo was your former bestfriend. Actually, he also has feelings for Dahyun but since you were the one who won Dahyun's heart, he became envy and jealous of you. It was fine for him at first. He didn't got angry at you because he blames himself that it's his fault anyways for being late. But, you did something that made him completely change.

You were the one who arrested Eunwoo after learning that he sells and uses drugs such as marijuana, shabu, ecstasy. He begged for you to keep this instead as a secret and not putting him in jail since you are his bestfriend, but you didn't let yourself feel pity for her because you were a man of law and good deeds so you instead put him in jail with no hesitation, as you think that this is for the better where this can teach him a lesson. As a bestfriend, you want to show what's need to be done right. You feel so disappointed at him for being actually like this secretly after having years of friendship together.

Meanwhile Eunwoo, since you broke his trust of him being saved by you, he felt betrayed by you. He became angry and full of hate that he sweared that he will come back one day and ruin your life just like what you did to him. Not feeling intimidated by that but you kept that words as you prepared yourself ready once that actually happens, and that's what exactly happened right now.

You were about to face your former bestfriend again who is now definitely focused on revenge and you know he will come for you.

"We better do something now dude, you know he's just everywhere around you. He can end your life if he wanted to.", Felix said to you, his face is full of concern now on you.

" No ifs, he's definitely gonna kill me. He's not the good-hearted Eunwoo I once knew.", you said. "Wait, you said he could be anywhere at these times, right?"

"Yeah?"

"Oh shit.", you halted, You stared out of nowhere as you remained frozen on your position.

"Why? What are you thinking?", he gently shaked you to bring your senses back alive.

"Dahyun. He might come for Dahyun.", you hurriedly released your phone from your pocket. "He ain't stupid to come for me here in the police station so he's gotta be heading from one of the people I love the most to successfully do his plan to me..."

"... and Dahyun-noona is the first on that list.", Felix muttered. you heard it so you just nodded in response. You contacted Dahyun's number and you placed your phone on your ear, waiting for her to answer.

The phone stops ringing as the timer starts to show on the screen. Dahyun accepts your call after she excused herself to the students she's teaching at her class today. "What is it?"

"Dahyun, listen to me. We will talk later ok? This is something very important and this definitely will concern you.", you said it carefully to her to make her understand every word you're going to say.

"Okay sure, wait is there somet-"

"While you're in there, please stick along with Sana or everyone else in that school whom you're close with. JUST DON'T BE ALONE."

"Y/N, I don't understand why are you so protective and concern to me? Am I in d-"

"Yes, i'll explain to you everything when we're on the road. I'll take you home later.", you sighed heavily. "Take care of yourself."

"Okay okay, you too Y/N.", she dropped the call. Felix falt smiled at you and patted your shoulder to comfort you on your problem right now.

"Have high hopes, dude. We will catch him before he gets his hands on Dahyun-noona.", you just gave him a weak smile as you nodded to Felix's encouraging words.

Few hours later, you and Felix are in your police car parked outside the school, waiting for Dahyun. You saw Dahyun along with Sana walking through the gate and you left your car to approach her fast.

"Hey Y/N! Wow, weird... this is the first time I saw you take Dahyun home." , said Sana who saw you grab Dahyun's arm.

"Ahh that? Hehe... we were just gonna go for a date that's why.", you lied to her as you did a fake laugh after stuttering.

"Oh okay, have fun on your date!", Sana said with a cheeky smile. Then she saw a glimpse of Felix looking at you three from the window. "Hi Felixxx!", she waved at him. Felix greeted and waved back at her noona.

"I'll go home now, you lovebirds. Bye!", Sana waved at you three and she starts to walk through the cab stop. You and Dahyun waved goodbye at her and after that you escorted Dahyun to the car.

"Okay, Y/N. Now tell me what's going on. You've been acting weird since earlier.", Dahyun asked you, furrowing her eyebrows. "Do you know this too, Felix?"

"Yeah, this is a problem in the police station we are concerned about, noona.", Felix answered, not looking at Dahyun.

"So this is about work? How am I related to this?", Dahyun asked confusedly. "Y/N, did someone threatened your life?", Felix then looked at you and you looked at her, avoiding your gaze at the window.

"It's Eunwoo. He escaped."

"Wait what? Why is he after me? I know what he did was a mistake on his part but.. we were on good terms."

'BECAUSE WE AREN'T.", you suddenly raised your voice. Dahyun flinched a little at your action. Even Felix gripped the steering wheel tightly.

"What does that mean? How did you two had a bad blood at each other?", Dahyun asked you, she slid herself to be closer at you. Now her hands are on your arms as she tries to gain some information of what the hell is going on.

"I was the one who arrested her, Dahyun-ah. He is mad at me for betraying him even though I have a reason for doing that to him. I just want to teach him a lesson because I want what is best for my friend.", you said to Dahyun. "He is in love with you too, Dahyun. That's why when he sweared that he will get his revenge to me, I know you'll be the first one he will target if he failed to get his hands on me easily. He will do anything to make me suffer and make my life into complete hell just like him... and one of it is by taking you from me.", Dahyun is still silent, listening to you.

"The danger is now here, Dahyun. I want you to distance yourself from me. Let me be the hero like I always do. I don't want you to get harmed so I need to protect you."

"B-but how about you? I- I don't want to risk your life for me, Y/N. I still need you!!", Dahyun exclaimed, now tugging your uniform. You saw the tears starts to form in her eyes.

"I know Dahyun ok? We want to stay alive, so this is the way. I promise you, you and I are gonna be safe. We just need to set the danger away from us.", you cupped Dahyun's cheeks. Tears starts to fall in her eyes. "Do you believe me?"

"I believe you, Y/N. You never failed to save me anyways.", Dahyun slowly nods while she sniffs.

"S-so, Y/N, what's your plan then?", Felix asked you, taking the car for a turn. You looked back back at him at rear-view mirror.

"I'll rent some apartment for Dahyun. Just anywhere where she can't be found by Eunwoo... and I want you Felix to help me find one."

While you three are on the way to your home, Sana just arrived at her house. She turned on the lights and when she did, a figure of someone she unexpected to see popped up right at the living room.

It's Eunwoo, sitting calmly on the couch. His arms are crossed, placed on the back of his head, treating it like a pillow.

"E-EUNWOO? HOW DID YOU GET INSIDE HERE?", Sana asked Eunwoo who is just staring at the blank TV.

"Long time no see, Sana.", he turns his head at the Japanese woman who is still looking at him in disbelief. "Oh by the way, lockpicking skills."

"Y- you got imprisoned right? H-ow did you escaped?", Sana said, stuttering while still standing at the front of her door looking like a statue.

"It's a long story.", Eunwoo removes his arms on the back of his head. He stands up from the couch, now his whole figure is now on Sana's sight, confirming that he literally is here and she's not dreaming.

Sana never thought that there would be a criminal inside her house.

"How are you Sana? Are you still letting your feelings being hidden even after you're being tortured by the sight of Y/N and Dahyun together in love?", Eunwoo asked Sana, cracking his knuckles.

"T-that's from t-the past. I'm no longer in love w-with Y/N.", Sana lowered down her head, fidgetting her fingers. "I confessed already to him before a-and I-I have someone new."

"Oh wow, really?", Eunwoo chuckled. "Is this the lucky person who has the heart of one Minatozaki Sana now?", he walked through the wooden rack beside the TV, reaching the frame containing a sketched drawing of...

"What's her name?"

"C-Chou Tzuyu...", Sana said, hugely gulping as she follows the movement of Eunwoo's fingers on the picture frame.

"Wow, her beauty is ethereal. She ain't Korean, isn't she?"

"Yeah. Taiwanese.", Eunwoo then nods while pouting her lips, he returned the frame to the rack, making Sana sigh in relief.

"W-what are you doing here anyways?"

"I'm just visiting my friend, is it bad?", Eunwoo smiled playfully, spreading his arms as if like he's presenting himself.

"Ofcourse it is, coming from a criminal like you.", Eunwoo grits his teeth, clenching his jaw after hearing that.

"Y/N really made everyone hate me huh.", Eunwoo clicking his tongue. "Actually, I came here to seek help from you... on my mission."

"What mission?"

"Ruin Y/N's life. That's it.", Sana's eyes widened. "I want to make you as an accomplice but since you already moved on from Y/N-"

"I don't want to help you, now get out.", Sana pointed the door.
Eunwoo just followed Sana's movement then laughed hysterically.

"Sana... Sana... don't need to command me that. I'll leave, ok? IF, If you'll do me another favor."

"I said I don't w-"

"Tzuyu is so beautiful. If I were you, I will do everything to make sure that a face like this would never disappear from my side... and from this world.", Eunwoo once again looked at Tzuyu's sketched image.

"W-what are you p-planning to do?", Sana stuttered even more. Her sweats are dropping and heart's beating even faster now.

"I'll leave this house IF you'll help me find Dahyun's location, in exchange of your girlfriend's safety.", Eunwoo smirked evilly at Sana who is now trembling in fear.

"Now, is it a yes... or no?"

THE NEXT DAY

Dahyun heard her doorbell ring. To make sure if that's the person she's about to meet today, she sent a message again, asking if that's her in front of the door.

She replied, saying yes. She then shouted at the door. Dahyun just giggled at how adorable Sana sounds when she's shouting.

"Hey, Sana-unnie!", Dahyun greets her friend after opening the door.

"Hello, Dahyun- ah! Why are you now in an apartment? Did something happened bad between you and Y/N?", Sana went from happy to confused.

"I-i'll tell you inside. Come!", Dahyun looked away at that first word before switching back again into her normal greeting expression few seconds ago.

Sana entered the apartment and sat at the couch. "So, what happened?"

"Well, actually... we haven't had a problem in our relationship, it's just that... both of us are in trouble right now.", Dahyun clasped her hands together.

"Trouble? What happened?"

"You remember Eunwoo right? You and Y/N's friend who I also met yeats ago.", Sana nods, she's pretending like she doesn't know what's gonna happen but deep insde she's shocked and super worried about Dahyun and you right now.

"Oh yeah, that bastard. What's with it?"

"He got escaped."

"EHH?!", Sana is still keeping her actress mode here.

"Yeah, and Y/N rented me an apartment for a while to hide because he don't want me to get close to him while he and Felix hunts for Eunwoo. He knows that Eunwoo can take me away from him.", Dahyun continued explaining.

"Aww. What a protective boyfriend Y/N is. I hope they can find Eunwoo, he deserves to rot in jail.", Sana just simply ends it with that. She can't think of others to say because she's cursing on her mind repeatedly at herself right now for being on this scenario.

"Want some food or drink?"

"An orange juice will do."

"Alright, I'll be right back.", Dahyun then heads to the kitchen. Sana was left in the living room.
Sighing heavily and controlling her tears not to fall, she pulled out her phone from her pocket while her hands are shaking.

"I'm sorry, Dahyun. I really do... but I don't want my girlfriend to be part of this.", Sana muttered before she starts typing a message for Eunwoo who is waiting inside Sana's car.

"Dahyun- noona?"

"Dahyun- noona?"

Felix called Dahyun for over 20 times in front of her apartment. He is in here because you tasked to check on Dahyun while you're busy managing the paper on your office in the police station.

"Something's isn't right.", Felix said softly. He is thinking that if Dahyun isn't home, that couldn't home because you didn't allow to get out of the house alone as long as you're not yet capturing Eunwoo.

If she is sleeping, that couldn't happen too. Felix knew that her noona isn't a heavy sleeper. She can easily awake at any disturbances.

So he has no choice but to borrow a spare key for Dahyun's apartment. He opened the door, Dahyun is nowhere to be found inside.

Felix noticed a folded white paper placed in the table. He opened it, and he slowly felt chills on his veins while reading the message.

'Want to know where your shining light is? Meet me to the place where you stole her away from me.

PS: don't you dare bring some back-up, unless you want to see your shining light fade to black.'

"OH NO.", Felix said in a loud tone. He hurriedly picks up his phone to contact you. You picked up the call after.

"DUDE!!! WE HAVE A VERY HUGE PROBLEM!", you said it with no energy because you're so stressed right now at your paper worm.

"What is it?"

"DAHYUN-NOONA IS MISSING!
EUNWOO KIDNAPPED HER!!!"

"WHAT?!", you are so shocked that you aggresively stand up from your seat. "W-WE GOTTA GO FIND HIM! NOW!"

"NO WE, IT'S GONNA BE YOU ONLY, DUDE.", Felix said, making you stopped as you were about to exit your office after grabbing the motorcycle keys. Your eyebrows furrowed, the phone is still on your ear. "HE LEFT A LETTER. HE WANTS YOU ONLY TO COME, NO BACKUPS ALLOWED. Dahyun-noona will die if you didn't follow."

"Goddamnit.", you smashed your clenched fist on the table. "Alright, fine... but I want you to do something for me."

"Sure, Y/N. What is it dude?"

You arrived at the location where Felix gave you that Eunwoo wants you to meet him at.

'The place where you stole her away from me'

"Peace and Hope National Park.", you muttered to yourself, revisiting the abandoned place where you, Felix, Eunwoo, Sana and Dahyun took a trip to explore the place.

This is also the place where you and Dahyun confessed each of your feelings to one another...

... where Eunwoo saw you two finally confirmed it with a tight hug and a warm kiss, which made his heart broke into pieces and left that scene, stains of tears all over his face.

You saw the guard in charge for guarding the park lying unconsciously on the ground near the gate, being hidden behind the cemented post. You knew Eunwoo did this to have access inside the park so you hurriedly find Dahyun because now you have a glimpse of what he could do worse either to you or Dahyun.

You walked faster now as you completely entered the park. After minutes of walking and roaming your eyes around to see what you're looking for, you finally find Dahyun who is tied with ropes around the tree. She also has her mouth covered with scarf.

You and her eyes met. She telephatically begged you about something as you can see in her eyes. You thought she wants you to go near at her and get her out from being tied up, but you're wrong.

Little by little as you step closer to her, she shooks her head rapidly at you. You became confused as why? Then suddenly, you felt someone gave you a flying kick to the back, making your front body crash to the grass first.

Eunwoo is now there, standing in front of you, grinning evilly as if he likes seeing you being like this, in pain.

"You son of a bitch, I've been waiting for this!!!", Eunwoo charged at you, he kicked the side of your face. While you're getting beaten up by your bestfriend turned into foe, Dahyun is silently begging Eunwoo to stop, not taking you being in pain at her sight.

"I told you before, that I will make your life miserable...", Eunwoo said, walking closely behind you while you're crawling.
"...and now, the time is here for you to embrace it!", Eunwoo stomps your ankle, making you scream in pain.

"AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!"

"This will not end up like this if you didn't backstabbed me and instead helped me.", Eunwoo pulled your hair. "But you chose your job instead rather than saving your bestfriend who treated you like a real brother.", Eunwoo was about to connect his fist at your face but you blocked it.

You pushed it instead on his face, suddenly releasing you from his grasp. You slowly stand up and connected another huge blow to Eunwoo, making his lip explode. You then gave a knee to his stomach making him kneel to the ground, coughing for air.

"I did it for YOU! I always wanted what's the best, so I did that to teach you a lesson! I never wanted to see you like that, but that was the only way to save you from it.

You were my brother, Eunwoo! I loved you, but right now... I don't know if I could treat you again like I used to before.", you walked near Eunwoo again who is about to get up, he was about to punch but you avoided it. You then gave him an uppercut, making him crash onto the grass.

You ran to Dahyun first, removing the ropes on her arms and the scarf on her mouth. She then gave you a breath taking hug, sobbing on your shoulders. You caressed Dahyun's back, making her feel that you're now here on the rescue.

"I'm here, Dubu. I'm here now. I'll get you out of here, okay?", Dahyun then rapidly nods in response.

"M-make h-him stop p-please.", Dahyun said, sniffing.

You wiped the tears around her face and moved the hairs blocking her messy face. "I will."

"RRRRRAAAWWGHHH!!!"

Eunwoo launches at you, making both of you fall to the ground. "You even took Dahyun away from me, and now I'll do the same to you... as you watch her disappear from your OWN EYES!", he was about to go and hold Dahyun but you caught his leg, beating it repeatedly, making him kneel in his one knee.

You chocked him after as you locked your arms around his neck. You were about to wrapped your legs at him but he is doing his best to fight you, so Eunwoo headbutted you with the back of his head... making you a little dizzy.

You laid on the ground as your head feels like it's spinning. Eunwoo then gets up. Dahyun knew that he is coming for her so she did her best to run but Eunwoo caught her. He locked his arms around Dahyun's neck and pulled his gun from the waist part of his pants.

You slowly recovered a bit from your dizziness. As your vision starts to get cleared a bit, you saw Dahyun now being threatened by Eunwoo on shooting her head. You then released your own gun to point it at him.

"DON'T YOU DARE, Y/N! DON'T YOU FREAKING DARE!", he shouted at you after he saw you draw your gun too at him. Now both of you are threatening each other to get shot.

"N- no please. Eunwoo, listen to me. I c-cared for you, I did that for a good p-purpose!"

"SHUT UP! I'm tired of your excuses. Now, before I end your pathetic life, I want to destroy your heart first like you did to mine.", he starts to reload the gun.

"YOU SHOULD'VE FALLEN FOR ME, DAHYUN SINCE THE START! Y/N DOESN'T DESERVE YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE! I'M THE ONE FOR YOU!", Eunwoo shouted near Dahyun's ear.

"I'M SORRY OK? PLEASE LET HER GO, EUNWOO. THE PROBLEM'S ONLY BETWEEN US. LEAVE HER ALONE!"

"Sorry will not fix ANYTHING!", Eunwoo spat it out loud at you.
"EUNWOO LET ME GO PLEASE! I LOVE AND WILL ONLY LOVE Y/N FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!", Dahyun begged for him while sobbing.

"Well then, if I can't have you... then just die instead.", he was about to pull the trigger but...

"NOOOOOO!!!"

Dahyun then backward kicked Eunwoo's crotch, making him groan in pain. Dahyun got released, you encouraged her to get out as you immediately shoot Eunwoo's shoulder, giving you an opportunity to charge at him and starts giving him a sequence of punches.

"I. never. meant. any. of. this. to. happen.", you said while giving him repeated punches to the face, making his face bloody and bruised. You removed yourself from him and you immediately checked on Dahyun.

"Come on, let's go now love. Help is coming. We better move.", you said to Dahyun who is crying on her arms. She just slowly nods at you, not letting her body away from you. You put back your gun at your sidearm.

"T-thank you, Y/N. You saved me again.", you kissed her forehead. You carefully helped her get up and as you two were about to go back to the gate of the park, you heard Eunwoo who is still laying on the ground, shouted your name from behind.

"Y/N!!!!", he said pointed his gun at you. You realized that you forgot to took his gun away from his side so the realization made you froze and went unresponsive for a second.

BANG!

He pulled the trigger, but to your surprise, the bullet didn't hit you. You slowly opened your eyes, revealing Dahyun who is facing her back at you. She slowly turned around and...

blood... slowly staining her uniform on the chest.

Even Eunwoo was shocked at what he just did. He was aiming at you actually, so he didn't expect that Dahyun will go for your cover. Realizing what he just did, you took your gun and shot him right in the head after that, making him straight dead.

It felt like the world stopped spinning when you saw Dahyun gave a smile at you until she collapsed in front of you.

You can heard the siren of the police cars coming near to the park.

You laid Dahyun's body on your arms. She was chasing her breath, but manages to speak for you.

"D- Dahyun, h-hey. Look at me. Hang on ok? They are coming. S-stay with me, alright?", you cupped Dahyun's cheek, continously nodding at her making her sure that everything will be alright now... even though what you're seeing right now isn't at all.

"I-I feel sleepy now, Y/N. C-can I rest?"

"Y-yes, you can rest b-but...", tears starts to flow down on your eyes. "make sure you'll awake okay?"

"Y/N, Y/N...

"Hmm...?,

She didn't speak for a second as she was admiring your face because this will be the last time she will saw this, so she took this chance already to have one last look at the man who won her heart. "N-no, please Dahyun don't...", you saw the police arrives at the front of the park. Your heartbeat went faster because you are getting even more scared and nervous now why is she slowly responding to you and she aren't moving that much. "Don't say it.... "

"Thank you for everything Y/N... I'll wait for us to meet again, okay?" she caressed your cheeks which is stained by your tears. "Remember this always...

...you."

"Dahyun?"

"Dahyun?", you shaked her gently more. She didn't respond.

Felix, Sana and also Tzuyu who joined her girlfriend to help you from dealing with Eunwoo. But it looks like they are now late as they saw you holding Dahyun who stopped breathing in your arms.

Your tears fell even more. You pulled Dahyun's head at the side of your neck and you start to hugged her.

"NOOOOOO nooo..... Dahyun, wake up, my dubu. Open your eyes, please... Don't leave me... stay with me, stay with me, STAY WITH ME, KIM DAHYUN!"

You let out a huge cry full of pain, agony, hurt and torment still denying the fact the love of your life just died right in your arms. It all ended to the place where your relationship with her started.

"I'm sorry, Dahyun. I couldn't save you. I'm very sorry.", you kissed her forehead as you continue sobbing on her shoulder. Meanwhile, the three of your friends just watched you with tears also starting to form in their eyes. Your other colleagues joined them too as they stopped to pay their respect and condolences on your girlfriend, bowing their head in silence.

5 MONTHS LATER

You are still on your hiatus from your work because of you mental health issue due to the effect Dahyun's passing. It felt like your whole world crumbled. Just pure darkness, now the shining light is no longer there, giving you colors in your life. You became depressed due to the mixed emontional suffering you've been through.

Anger.

Guilt.

Sadness.

Grief.

Disbelief.

Almost all you did was to visit Dahyun's grave, every night and day... staring at her grave, wishing for the impossible.

Tzuyu seek some help from a psychiatrist to help you and Sana.
Sana also got an anxiety disorder because she keeps on blaming herself that she's really the one responsible for Dahyun's death. Dahyun wouldn't even be there in the first place if it wasn't because of her.

Tzuyu and Felix took care of you two until you both slowly recover and improve each of your mental health again. You forgive Sana, saying that it's not her fault... but she's just also a victim of Eunwoo's threat. She just wanted to protect her loved one too.

Now you are standing once again at Dahyun's grave in Sunday morning. Sana, Tzuyu and Felix were at the car waiting for you.

"I'm sorry if I didn't lived up to my words, Dahyun. I broke my promise to you, and I know you're maybe disappointed at me. I know you always see me as your hero despite of what happened to you... but because of that I'll forever look to myself as a less than zero for being a failure to save the only girl I only adored the most, and I'll never gonna forgive myself for that.", you wiped off your tear with your hands.

"Don't worry about me, I will try to be better for you... because that's what you wanted for me to be right? I have no choice but to finally accept the painful truth... that I won't be seeing you around anymore. ", you were able to let out a chuckle even though you're still crying. "I gotta go now, my love. We're gonna go have a lunch now. I'll see you again", you kissed the tombstone of Dahyun's grave before walking away at the resting place of your girlfriend as you approach your friends again who are just talking to each other in the car.

You, Felix, Sana and Tzuyu arrived in the restaurant to have some dinner. Since you are the one who volunteered to order their chosen foods to the cashier, you asked them one by one.

"What did you pick, Sana?"

"Cheese Kimbap~", she answered you in an aegyo, pronouncing it in a singsong tone. Tzuyu just blushed at her girlfriend's act while Felix just wheezed, covering his mouth to prevent himself from laughing hard.

"Alright then, I'll leave you three for a while.", you head to the counter and fall to line. You are 4th one standing so you just roamed your eyes around as you wait for your turn.

Minutes later, you four are now eating silently, way too focused on how delicious the food tastes. While looking at everybody around you, you saw something that completely got your attention.

Near at your group's table, You saw a couple happily eating together on a table.

The woman feeds her lover with her food and the man willing took it for a bite. She giggled at her lover's reaction.

You recognized the food of the woman she fed to him.

Braised tofu.

You stared at them, frowning your face as you recalled one of the best memories you ever had with Dahyun.

Same table. Same sweet gesture. Same food.

You felt jealous and envy at them and all you had to do was to just stare at them, frowning your face because you knew this moment will never happen again, even if you badly wanted to, because Dahyun's no longer there with you.

"You miss her?", Felix woke you up back from the reality, you blinked rapidly as you gained back your senses before looking at him. You also saw Sana and Tzuyu looking at you while chewing their food.

"W-what?"

"We noticed you're staring at them,and we guess you remembered Dahyun again.", Sana said, wiping her lips with a tissue. "You miss her so bad."

"Always. ", you answered, nodding slowly while giving her a small smile. "It's like everywhere I go, I see her face, reminding me again those random things we did in our relationship before."

"We are too.", Tzuyu said, she patted your shoulder gently as a comfort. You just deeply exhaled.

"Are you gonna be fine? Mind telling us what happened before that made you longing for Dahyun-noona right now?", Felix asked you, looking again at the couple who are now talking blissfully at each other.

"Y-yeah, I'll be fine, it's just ...", Felix looked at you again. Even Sana and Tzuyu too are waiting fro your answer.

You stared at them deeply, heart getting heavier.

"We had our first date at that time, exactly the same as theirs."
