Updates
July 5, 2026
Introducing Binder
Binder is a redesigned inventory experience that allows you to manage your photocards.
Folders
Folders allow you to organize your photocards into different categories. These can be public or private. Free users can create up to 5 folders, while Premium users can create up to 8 folders.
Note: Featured photocards are now a special type of folder that always exists and will be showcased on your profile page.
Bucketlist
The new Bucketlist panel allows you to track your collection completion. You can create tracking groups per group, pick which idols and collections to watch, and see your overall completion percentage alongside per-group owned and total counts.
Shrine Redesign
The Shrine page has been redesigned to be more user-friendly, with numerous filtering and sorting options.
Wisdom Tracker
The new Wisdom Tracker panel allows you to track your Wisdom progress. You can see all your wisdom guesses and their results in one place.
New Prayer Modes
Prayers have been expanded to include new modes:
- Peace: the classic prayer; may award one or more photocards.
- Happiness: refills all shrine wish charges.
- Abundance: raises your photocard daily caps by 25% for 2 hours.
- Prosperity: grants a temporary 50% drop-rate boost for 2 hours.
- Glory: grants a temporary shrine failure reduction for 2 hours.
Trading: Auto-Accept Conditions
Trade listings can now define up to 3 auto-accept rules. Each rule specifies a quantity plus optional filters: tier, quality, group, idol, collection, or a specific card. Offers matching any rule auto-complete without manual approval.
Quick Flower
Premium users can enjoy a quick way to send flowers by clicking on the flower pill in the premium header, allowing them to easily send flowers to their favorite authors and readers.
Other changes
- Beauty quality clamp increased from ±3 to ±8.
- Daily limits now have separated buckets for Active, Passive, and Prayer.
- Various UI improvements across the site, primarily on mobile.

Introducing Infinity Cards
Infinity (∞) is a new special quality of photocards that can only be obtained through natural drops at a very low rate. Not only are Infinity cards extremely rare and unique for collectors, they also have a special effect when used at the Shrine.
Power: The shrine considers Infinity cards an exact match for their demands, granting 100% success on your next wish.
Success: When used as a booster, Infinity cards will push the target card into an Infinity card.
Wisdom: An Infinity card now counts as an automatic correct digit in whichever position you place it. Fill every position with a correct card or an Infinity card to solve the puzzle. As with any offering, Infinity cards used this way are consumed.
Fame and Love: When an Infinity card is offered to the Love or Fame shrine, the wish cannot fail.
Beauty: Infinity cards are treated as quality 10 cards with a guaranteed upgrade, but will lose their Infinity quality if tiered up.
Infinity cards can be traded and gifted as normal.
Changes to Featured Treehouses and Nests
Featured Treehouses will no longer tier up their Nests at the end of the incubation period. Instead, their incubation speed will be doubled.
Featured Treehouses will also produce 50% more fruits.
If two photocards are nested together level up into a tier that contains a duo card of the two nested idols, they will skip the possibility of tiering up into a duo card, and instead the duo card will be awarded to the user.
Example: A user nests Jang Wonyoung 105 and An Yujin 105. Once both cards reach level 10 and level up into Ethereal, the user will receive Annyeongz 101 and both Jang Wonyoung 105 and An Yujin 105 will ignore Annyeongz 101 as an upgrade path.
The two nested cards will continue to incubate as normal.
Other changes
Cards obtained from prayer are now capped at 50% of the daily limit.
Daily photocard limits have been increased to 12 for free users and 16 for Fan+ users.
Groups can now be excluded instead of just collections.

Updates to Treehouses
Treehouse Fruits
Everyday Treehouses will award a random percentage of members with a random photocard from its collections. This feature is available to all users.
Treehouse Member Levels
Treehouse members gain levels based on the number of days they have been in the house. The more levels a member has, the higher the priority of receiving a fruit. Members will also receive a bonus fruit for each level they gain.
Featured Treehouses
Everyday, the Shrine will choose a random Treehouse based on its activity level. When a Treehouse is featured, all cards belonging to that group will receive a 25% success rate boost in shrine offerings for all users. Allied Treehouses will receive a 10% boost to all offered cards belonging to their members.
Members of the featured Treehouse will receive an additional 50% increased drop rate.
Treehouse Nests
Treehouse members can incubate photocards in Nests to slowly level them up. Each day, the quality of a nested card will increase by 1 until it reaches 10. The card will then level up to the next tier and continue climbing quality and tiers until it reaches Q10 Cosmic (or the maximum tier for the idol track).
Cards can be retrieved at any time.
Only cards Q6 and below can be nested.
Free members can nest up to 1 card per Treehouse, while Fan+ members can nest up to 2 cards per Treehouse.
On days where a Treehouse is Featured by the Shrine, nested cards incubate twice as fast, and the Treehouse bears 50% more fruit.
Shrines Rescaled
The following changes have been made to the Shrine system:
- Health: Offering rate for Legendaries rescaled to five Epics of any quality. Five Q10 Epics will now have a chance to return an Ethereal.
- Beauty: Beauty now has a chance to reset the card's quality to 1 when the offered card is at quality 10. Failure rates rescaled to the following:
- Common: 80 upgrade, 20% reset
- Uncommon: 70 upgrade, 25% reset, 5% downgrade
- Rare: 60 upgrade, 35% reset, 5% downgrade
- Epic: 50 upgrade, 40% reset, 10% downgrade
- Legendary: 40 upgrade, 50% reset, 10% downgrade
- Ethereal: 30 upgrade, 60% reset, 10% downgrade
- Wisdom: Wisdom secret numbers are no longer global, but per-user. Wisdom sequences also reduced to only 3 to 4 (randomized per round).
- Power: Power shrine now demands 4 cards at a time and have their empowerments labeled on the card selection.
Other changes
Cooldowns in between photocard rolls have been removed.
Daily photocard limits have been increased to 10 for free users and 15 for Fan+ users.
Author passive photocard for free users increased from 25% to 50% of daily limit.
Daily prayer cooldown has been reduced to 3 hours for free users and 2 hours for Fan+ users.
Shrine stacks increased from 2 (free) /3 (Prose+) /4 (Fan+) to 3 (free) /4 (Prose+) /5 (Fan+).
All photocard drop rates have been increased.
Pity system threshold reduced from 5 to 3.
Love shrine success rate increased from 50% to 60%.
Fame shrine success rate increased from 75% to 80%.
Updates to Terms of Service
With new ways to earn photocards, we've updated our Terms of Service to account for the new changes. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent cooldowns and limits is strictly prohibited. This includes creating multiple accounts to receive bonus photocards from Treehouses, manipulate Treehouse votes, commenting on stories to roll writer photocards or boost metrics, wishlist abuse, doubling daily prayers, and other forms of system abuse.
Fanprose has advanced alternate account detection systems in place to prevent abuse. Repeat offenders will have their photocard privileges revoked.

Welcome to Summer 2026!
Summer 2026 is here! We've got a lot of new exciting features and updates to share with you. Let's dive in!
Summer Photocards are now live!
Thanks to a successful round of Auctions and Harvests, 2nd Edition and Summer 2026 photocards are now available to be collected. Treehouses have until July 1st to finalize their cards, but those who have finished early will have their cards dropped starting today.
New Shrine mechanic: Charges
Shrines now go by a charge system instead of a per-use cooldown. Recharge times are the same as cooldowns from before, but free users can now stack up to 2 charges. (Prose+ members can stack up to 3 charges, and Fan+ members can stack up to 4 charges.)
New Shrine mechanic: Pray
Visit the shrine daily to pray for a chance to receive a free photocard (or multiple). This feature is available to all users.
New Shrine mechanic: Pity
Each individual shrine will track a user's fail streak. After 5, each additional failure will grant a small boost to the shrine's success rate. This feature is available to all users.
New Shrine mechanic: Double Shrine
Shrines will occasionally not take a charge, allowing you to offer again immediately. This feature is available to all users.
New Shrine mechanic: Read to Recharge
Readers can now leave comments on stories for a chance to speed up their shrine recharges. This feature is available to all users.
Shrines Majorly Reworked
The shrine system has undergone major changes to improve the overall experience to account for the number of photocards that are now in the system. Please read the following updates carefully:
- For more transparency, all shrines now reveal their success rates (if applicable) before you make an offering.
- Health: Now rewards up to Legendary, with the following exchange rate: x5 Q10 Epic
- Fame: Success rate increased, with bonus rewards for offering cards from the same group.
- Love: Success rate drastically increased, with bonus rewards for offering cards from the same group as your chosen idol.
- Beauty: Beauty will no longer return a neutral result. Instead, it will always upgrade or downgrade the card. However, failure and success rates are no longer equal, and instead dynamically scaled based on the tier of the card. This applies to both quality and tier jumps.
- Common: 80/20
- Uncommon: 70/30
- Rare: 60/40
- Epic: 50/50
- Legendary: 40/60
- Ethereal: 30/70
- Fortune:Previous Fortune shrine has been removed and now replaced by last season's Success shrine, allowing users to win the Jackpot if the targeted number is reached. Jackpots can now include up to 3 cards.
- Success:The new Success shrine allows users to sacrifice cards for a chance to increase a single card's quality.
- Common: 1
- Uncommon: 2
- Rare: 3
- Epic: 4
- Legendary: 5
- Ethereal: 6
- Wisdom: The puzzle for this season has been reworked. As per tradition, the rules will not be revealed until it has been solved at least once. Wisdom shrines will now have a 4 hour cooldown after being solved until a new puzzle is revealed.
- Power: Power shrines now demand three different cards at a time, but will no longer refresh after a period of time. Instead, uses for each demanded card are limited to a random number designated by the shrine. (If a power slot is not utilized for 4 hours, it will be reset.)
- Power blessings are also reworked to the following tiers:
- Same quality: 20% failure reduction
- Same group: 30% failure reduction
- Same idol: 40% failure reduction
- Same quality and group: 50% failure reduction
- Same quality and idol: 60% failure reduction
- Same card type: 70% failure reduction
- Exact card: 100% failure reduction
Passive Photocard Rolls for Authors
Authors will now earn passive photocard rolls when their stories are interacted with by readers. These rolls will contribute to a user's daily limit cap, with free users having up to 25% of their daily limit, Prose+ users having up to 50%, and Fan+ users having up to 75%.
Collections Exclusion
In your Settings, you can now exclude certain collections from your random drops. (This will not affect shrines.) Free users can exclude up to 3 collections, while Fan+ users can exclude up to 5 collections.

Introducing Treehouse Harvests
Changes to Auctions
After receiving feedback from the community, we have decided to cancel the remaining rounds of Treehouse Auctions for Legendary, Ethereal, and Cosmic tiers.
The blind auctions for Secret and Celestial tiers will continue as planned. These auctions will begin on June 8th at 9:00 AM PST and run for 3 days until June 11th at 9:00 AM PST.
- Secret: The top 5 Treehouses will each receive 2 Secret frames.
- Celestial: The top 6 Treehouses will each receive 1 Celestial frame.
Treehouses will now have a 300-point bidding limit per auction, and individual members will have a 100-point bidding limit per auction. Limit usage recharges gradually over 24 hours after points are spent.
Hidden Alliance mechanic #3:Allied Treehouses can contribute to each other's bid by sacrificing cards in their place. If the house you are assisting has more members than yours, your cards will receive a boost based on the difference in your member counts. If the house you are assisting has less members than yours, your cards will receive a penalty based on the difference in your member counts.
Alliance limits have been raised to 3.
Trading will be disabled for participating Treehouse members during these auctions. If you wish to opt-out to enable trading, you will not be able to participate in the auctions.
Treehouse Harvests
Harvests are a new cooperative event for Treehouses and will replace the last 3 rounds of Auctions.
When a Harvest opens, every participating Treehouse gets its own milestone track. Similar to Auctions, members sacrifice photocards to build up their Treehouse's score, and every level cleared will roll a blank photocard frame of a random tier. The 25% ally buff and self debuff will continue to apply.
Houses with more members will have a higher requirement to clear levels. Unlike Auctions, Harvests do not have set winners. Any Treehouse that levels up earns a frame.
Allied Treehouses can contribute to each other's progress by sacrifice cards in their place. However, unlike with Auction Assists, the difference in member counts will not affect the score contribution. The 25% ally buff and self debuff will still apply.
Harvests start at a base of 5 levels, but a global World Tree runs alongside the per-house tracks. Every 500 points contributed to the World Tree will increase the maximum level of all Treehouse by 1.
This will continue until Harvests close on June 17th at 9:00 AM PST.
To compensate for the cards lost in the Auctions, all Round 1 bids (excluding Secret and Celestial) have been carried over to seed the Harvest. Houses that did not win an auction will receive a frame for each level retroactively cleared.
Combined Frames
Treehouses can now merge two empty frames into a single combined frame. The two frames must share the same tier and collection. The resulting card holds two idol tags and can be given a custom name by the treehouse.
Combined frames enter the proposal pipeline as usual. The original two frames are consumed in the process. Idol pairings and names can be updated later through additional proposals.
GIF Attachments (Premium)
Premium members can now attach GIFs to comments across Fanprose — story and chapter comments, profile wall comments, thought replies, shrine offering comments, trade listing comments, and wishlist comments.
Trends Page (Premium)
A new Trendspage has been added to the site, allowing you to see what's trending in your favorite idols, groups, and genres.
June 1, 2026
Introducing Trends and Achievements
Trends
We've extended our trending system to rank specific tags, so you can see what's trending in your favorite idols, groups, and genres. Any tag that has 50 or more engaged stories in the last week, month, or year will qualify as a trend.
Achievements
A story that lands on the leaderboard of a trend will be marked with a badge showing its rank in the trend. For example,“#3 story in Karina (aespa) this week.”. This is considered an Achievement and is recorded in an author's profile, and displayed on the story page.
An author's lifetime highest list of achievements is available in their profile.
Scheduled Story and Chapter Publishing
Prose+ and Fan+ users can now schedule stories and chapters to be published at a future date and time.
Improved Search
The search button in the top right of the site has been improved to make it easier to find what you're looking for. It now supports searching for tags, authors, and stories/chapters all in one place.
Treehouse Updates
A new Treehouse page called Alliance has been added, allowing Alliances to chat privately in one place.
Users with voting power who do not wish to actively participate in Treehouse decisions can now Opt out to avoid being a bottleneck to Treehouse proposals. Additionally, Treehouses with inactive voters will have their threshold decayed over time.
May 30, 2026
Introducing Friends and Recommendations
New Recommended Feed and Friends List
A new Recommended tab is now available on the home feed. Unlike the Following feed, which surfaces everything from people you follow, Recommended lets you manually curate a list of Friends — and shows you only their recommendations in one place.
Free users can add up to 8 friends, while Prose+ and above can add up to 12. Adding someone as a friend is a one-way connection — they won't be notified that you've added them.
Reprose is Now Recommend
We've renamed Reprose to Recommendacross the site. The feature works exactly the same way — you can still broadcast stories and chapters to your followers' Following feed with a single click, but the new name should make it much easier to understand for new users, especially when paired with the new feed.
For You Feed Improvements
The For You feed algorithm has been updated to learn your preferences over time. Previously, it curated your feed using a weighted formula based on your favorite idols, globally trending stories, and who you follow. That foundation is still there, but now the algorithm can adapt based on your feedback.
New thumbs up and thumbs down buttons have been added to stories in the For You feed. When you vote, you can optionally share why you liked or disliked a story — and the site will use that information to better understand what you want to see. Please note that this feature is still experimental — For You algorithms are genuinely difficult to get right — but we hope this is a meaningful step toward a feed that actually feels personal.
Liked Stories in My Library
A new Liked tab is now available in My Library, letting you browse all the stories you've liked in one place. We've also fixed searching and filtering across all Library tabs, and added a Recommendations tab to round out the collection.
Featured Reading Lists
You can now feature Reading Lists on your profile, alongside featured stories, bookmarks, and photocards. This works the same way as other featured items — pin your favorite lists so visitors can find them right away. However, unlike Featured Bookmarks, stories added to Reading Lists do not boost their trending metrics.
Free users can feature up to 3 reading lists, while Prose+ and above can feature up to 6.
View Activity on Interactions
A new View Activitybutton has been added to interactions across the site, such as Thoughts. Tapping it opens a panel where you can see who has liked or replied to that interaction — a quick way to see who's engaging with your posts.
May 28, 2026
Auction Round 1 Rules and Mechanics
Round 1 of Treehouse Auctions will begin on May 29th, 2026 at 9:00 AM PST. A countdown has been added to the homepage.
5 auctions will be held simultaneously, each lasting 5 days:
- Legendary - The top 5 winners will each receive 3 Legendary frames.
- Ethereal - The top 8 winners will each receive 2 Ethereal frames.
- Cosmic - The top 4 winners will each receive 2 Cosmic frames.
- Secret (blind) - The top 5 winners will each receive 1 Secret frame.
- Celestial (blind) - The top 4 winners will each receive 1 Celestial frame.
Blind auctions do not have a leaderboard, so you will not be able to see the scores of the other Treehouses until the auction is over.
Once Auctions begin, new Treehouse memberships will require approval.
Hidden Alliance mechanic #1: The value of your offered cards will be calculated as quality * tier. However, if the card features an idol from your own house, its value will be reduced by 25%. If the card features an idol from an ally's house, its value will be increased by 25%.
Hidden Alliance mechanic #2: Cards won from auctions can be transferred to an allied Treehouse.
Photocard drop rates will be temporarily increased throughout the Auction duration.
Auction formats will change and more hidden mechanics will be revealed in the next rounds. Good luck and may the poca gods be with you!
May 26, 2026
Introducing Treehouse Alliances
Treehouses can now form Alliances with one another. Alliances are a mutual connection between two Treehouses — a way to signal friendship and community ties.
Any Treehouse member with proposal rights can propose an alliance with another Treehouse. Once this is approved, it will need to be accepted by the other Treehouse. Alliances can be dissolved by submitting a dissolution proposal, which requires member approval.
Once Auctions begin, Treehouse membership will require approval.
Treehouses can currently have up to 2 alliances at a time. However, the top 5 most populated Treehouses cannot ally with each other.
Alliance features and mechanics will be revealed at a later date. Choose your allies wisely!
May 25, 2026
Introducing Premium Memberships
Fanprose now offers premium membershipsthat unlock additional features for readers, writers, and collectors. Everything that's free today stays free—premium features are purely additive, no existing features will be removed from free users.
Two Plan Tiers
There are two paid tiers. The first tier focuses on reader and writer conveniences: more favorite authors and featured bookmarks, reduced flower cooldowns, the ability to host challenges, an extra Treehouse membership, and Treehouse voting rights.
The second tier includes everything in the first, plus collector-focused perks: additional featured photocards on your profile, an increased daily photocard limit, a reduced roll cooldown, a reduced shrine offering cooldown, two more Treehouse memberships, the ability to submit Treehouse proposals, and a free daily photocard delivered automatically at midnight in your local timezone.
More on the Way
We'll continue adding features to both tiers over time. Roadmap items like story analytics, incognito commenting, scheduled publishing, and reduced ads are in progress and will be rolled out to existing subscribers automatically as they ship. Stay tuned for more updates and perks!
Where to Subscribe
Visit the premium page to compare tiers and subscribe. Existing subscribers can manage their plan and delivery timezone from Settings → Premium.

Minting Seasons and Auctions
As Fanprose moves towards becoming a fully user generated content platform, we're introducing new Treehouse features to help you engage with the community and contribute to the platform!
Introducing Minting Seasons
Minting Seasons are site-wide events where every active Treehouse receives its own custom photocard collection.
For Season 2, each idol in the Treehouse will receive a Common, Uncommon, and Rare photocard. 60% of members will receive an Epic, chosen by the Treehouse.
Treehouses will also choose the photos for each photocard. Currently, only verified members may officially make a proposal for the change, but all users are welcome to suggest and have their voice be heard.
At the end of Minting Season (June 21st, 2026), all photocards will be formally minted and be available to be collected by all users.
1st Edition photocards will continue to drop alongside 2nd Edition photocards.
Spring 26 will be available to collect until June 21st, 2026, when Summer 26 will begin. Once a new season begins, previous seasons will never drop nor be obtainable through a shrine reward again. They can continue to be traded.
Introducing Auctions
Auctionsare Treehouse-vs-Treehouse contests for upper tier photocards. All members (regardless of verification status) of competing Treehouses may sacrifice their existing photocards to bid on behalf of their community, and the winning Treehouses receive empty frames that can be filled with idols from their houses to enter the Summer '26 Limited collection.
Photocard sacrifice value will be calculated based on their quality multiplied by their tier number, so collect, save, and shrine wisely!
If you leave a Treehouse during a live Auction, your points will no longer contribute to the pool.
Multiple Auctions will be held simultaneously with different formats and prizes, so strategy will be as important as brute force.
Once auctions start, Treehouse membership will require approval.
For Summer 2026, 4 Auction rounds will be held for every tier, each lasting 5 days. Auction schedules will be announced soon.
We hope that Auctions will add a new layer of strategy and friendly competition to Treehouses while keeping the site user curated.

Treehouses, Chapter Drafts, Polls, and Browse Improvements
Introducing Treehouses
Treehousesare fan community spaces that form automatically. When a group has enough published stories, a Treehouse is created for it — a dedicated space where fans of that group can gather, chat, and see what's new.
You can join any Treehouse to follow its activity and participate in its community. All users are allowed to join up to 3 Treehouses at once.
Treehouses are an exciting evolution to Fanprose and will open up new features and gamified/community-driven experiences in upcoming updates!
View all active Treehouse here.
Note: Treehouses are currently in beta and may be subject to change.
Chapter Drafts
Chapters can now be saved as drafts. A draft chapter is only visible to the story's author and will not appear to readers until it is published. This makes it easier to stage upcoming chapters, work ahead, or keep unreleased content private while still organizing it within your story.
In addition, chapters now have their own genre and group fields, giving authors finer-grained control over how each chapter is tagged and discoverable — useful for anthologies or stories that span multiple groups.
Polls in Thoughts
When posting a Thought, you can now attach a poll.
Browse: Include & Exclude Tags
The Browse page now supports both including and excluding tags in the same search. Previously, selecting a tag only filtered for stories that matched it. Now you can also explicitly exclude tags — for example, browsing for a specific idol while excluding certain genres or pairings you prefer not to see.
Browse: Random Story Button
A new Randombutton on the Browse page picks a random story that matches your current filters. It's a quick way to discover something new without scrolling. As a bonus, reading a story you found through the Random button may give you a boost to your next photocard drop rate — so it pays to explore!
May 14, 2026
Blogs, Story Categories, and Pairing Refactor
Introducing Blogs
A new type of content is now available on Fanprose: Blogs. Blogs are posts designed for anything that isn't a story — author notes, reviews, poetry, community discussion, personal updates, and more. When creating a new post, you can switch between a story and a blog post.
Story Format Categories
Stories are now categorized by format to make browsing more precise. When publishing a story, authors choose one of the following:
- One Shot — A complete, self-contained story told in a single chapter.
- Series — A multi-chapter story with an ongoing or continuing narrative.
- Anthology — A collection of related, standalone stories published together under one title.
Browse and feed filters have been updated to let you filter by format, so you can find exactly the kind of story you're looking for.
Pairing Refactor
Pairings have been consolidated into a smaller set of generic, reusable options — for example, Female Idol(s) x Male Reader instead of idol-specific combinations. This makes pairings easier to browse, reduces clutter in the tag system, and keeps pairing labels consistent across the site regardless of which idols are in the story. Existing stories have been automatically updated to the nearest matching generic pairing. Authors are encouraged to use Idol tags for specific idols.
May 12, 2026
Recommend, Trending, Inventory, and More
Introducing Recommend
A new way to share stories you love: Recommendlets you broadcast any story or chapter to your followers' Following feed with a single click. Think of it as a recommendation — a signal to the people who follow you that something is worth reading.
A few things that make Recommend different from traditional reblogs or retweets:
- Each user can only Recommend a given story or chapter once.
- When multiple users Recommend the same work, it does not create separate entries in the feed. Instead, the existing entry is renewed and updated to reflect all recommendations — keeping feeds clean and preventing pile-ons.
- Recommendation count is now a tracked metric on all stories and chapters, visible alongside likes, comments, and bookmarks.
- A new Recommended tab has been added to user profiles, letting others browse the stories a writer has publicly recommended.
Introducing the Trending Feed
A new Trending tab is now available on the home feed, ranking idols, groups, and stories by overall engagement. Trending score is calculated from a weighted combination of likes, comments, bookmarks, and recommendations, and can be filtered by timeframe: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
New: Inventory Page
A dedicated Inventory page is now available for managing your photocard collection. The initial release includes:
- A drag-and-drop interface for rearranging your featured photocards.
- The existing locking interface for protecting individual cards from shrine offerings, trades, and gifts (previously on the Profile page).
Additional inventory management tools are planned for future updates.
Share Button
Stories, chapters, and other pages now include a Share button for quick sharing to external platforms including Tumblr, Reddit, Twitter/X, and others.
Minor Changes
- Sacrificed cards in your Shrine offering history now stack on top of each other for a cleaner, more compact display.
- Fixed a bug affecting daily photocard roll limits.

Photocard Settings & Content Guideline Updates
Photocard Opt-Out Settings
New settings are available under Settings > Content to give you full control over photocard drops:
- Disable photocards: Turns off all photocard drops and hides photocard features entirely. Your existing collection is preserved.
- Disable photocard drops from my stories: Prevents readers from receiving photocard drops when they interact with your stories.
A new setting is also available under Settings > Notificationsthat lets you disable photocard drop notifications and the reward popup. When turned off, you will still earn cards from your interactions — they just won't interrupt you with a notification or popup. Gift notifications are unaffected by this setting.
Content Guidelines Updated
We've updated our Content Guidelines with clarifications around the following topics:
- Incest: Romantic or sexual content between blood-related family members is prohibited, including parent/child, sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle, and cousin relationships.
- Plagiarism:Posting writing created by someone else is prohibited, regardless of whether you have their permission. This includes copying, reposting, or representing another author's work as your own.
- AI-generated content: AI-generated images or videos depicting real people are strictly prohibited.
- Images of minors: Images of real people under 19 are not allowed as display photos or favorite idols, regardless of context, due to the explicit nature of the site.
Please review the full Content Guidelines for details.

Introducing Success Shrine Wishes
A new shrine wish, Success, is now available. Success is a global jackpot wish where every offering adds points toward a hidden target.
How Success Works
When you make a Success wish, your offered cards are always consumed. Rarer cards contribute more points to the jackpot counter. If your offering pushes the counter over the hidden target, you win the round and receive the jackpot reward card. Success wishes do not share the same cooldown as other wishes.
Global Jackpot Round
The jackpot is shared across all players. When someone wins, the counter resets and a new hidden target is generated for the next round.
Reward Preview
The shrine now shows a Success Jackpot panel with the current point total and a preview of the round reward card.
April 20, 2026
Introducing Beauty Wishes
A new shrine wish, Beauty, is now available. Unlike other wishes, Beauty is a transmutation— you sacrifice exactly one card and the shrine returns a transformed version of it. It never fails, so you won't lose any cards, but remember—beauty is pain.
Tier Transmutation (Quality 10 cards only)
If the card you sacrifice has Quality 10, the shrine will transmute its tier. You receive a different card featuring the same idol(s), potentially at a higher, lower, or equal tier. The quality of the returned card is rolled fresh.
Quality Transmutation (Quality 1–9)
If the card you sacrifice has Quality 1–9, the shrine will transmute its quality. The card type stays the same, but its quality shifts.
Power Buff Compatibility
Since Beauty never fails, a Power buff cannot reduce failure. Instead, if you have an active Power buff when making a Beauty wish, it is consumed to boost the upgrade chance.
Beauty wishes trigger the normal shrine cooldown.
Unlike other wishes, Beauty can return cards above Epic.
Photocard Locking
You can lock photocards from your profile so they stay out of shrine, trade, and gift flows. Locked cards still appear in your gallery and can be featured. Locking a card that is listed for trade automatically cancels pending offers and removes the listing.
April 16, 2026
Wishlist, Reading Rewards, and Embeds
New Trading Page: Wishlist
A new trading page, Wishlist, is now available as a reverse-trade flow.
- Choose a card you would like to receive, and optionally list cards you are willing to offer in return.
- If another user has your desired card, they can initiate the trade immediately.
- Users can also gift a requested card without taking anything in return.
Reading Rewards: Photocard Roll Checkpoints
Reading stories can now reward photocard rolls. Fanprose uses multiple algorithms to detect active reading and grants roll checkpoints throughout a story, with checkpoint count based on story length.
Thoughts: YouTube and Spotify Embeds
Thoughts now support embedded YouTube and Spotify content.

Power Shrine Updates
Revised Buff System
The Power Shrine now demands cards of Rare tier or below only. The buff system has been reworked into three tiers based on how closely your offering matches the demand:
- Quality match only — offering any card that shares the demanded quality (e.g. any Q6 when a Q6 is demanded) grants a small buff: 33% failure reduction.
- Card match — offering the exact demanded card at any quality grants a large buff: 66% failure reduction.
- Card + quality match — offering the exact demanded card at the exact demanded quality grants a full buff: 100% failure removal.
Selflessness Reward
The shrine occasionally notices your selflessness when you sacrifice a card to restart the power wish, potentially choosing to give your card back.
Secret Cards
Secret tier cards no longer drop from standard offerings. They can only be obtained through Wisdom wishes.

Introducing Photocard Quality
Every photocard now has a Quality rating from 1 to 10, shown as a ◈ badge on the card. Quality is a new layer of rarity that affects how your cards perform at the Shrine and adds a new dimension to collecting.
How Quality Works
When you receive a photocard, its quality is rolled randomly using a weighted system. Lower values are far more common, while high-quality cards are more rare.
What Quality Does
Quality isn’t just cosmetic — it has three direct mechanical effects when you use cards at the Shrine:
- Offering Value: Quality 9–10 cards count as 2× their tier value when sacrificed. For example, a Level 9 Common card is worth 2x the sacrifice value of a Level 3 Common card.
- Failure Reduction: The higher the average quality of the cards you sacrifice, the less likely a wish is to fail.
- Quality Floors: If the Shrine returns a card of the same tier or lower than what you sacrificed, its quality is guaranteed to be at least as good as the best card you put in.
Wisdom Wishes
For Wisdom wishes, the quality values of your sacrificed cards are summed together to determine your total for the riddle. In order to solve for certain numbers, qualities from multiple ranges will be needed.
Display & Privacy
The ◈ quality badge appears on your cards automatically. If you have no interest in quality mechanics and/or prefer a cleaner look, you can hide quality badges entirely from your Settings page.
Gallery
When viewing a user’s gallery, the quality shown for each card is the best quality they own for that card. If you have multiple copies, only your highest-quality version is displayed.
Introducing Wisdom & Power Wishes
Wisdom wishes are a new type of wish that allows you to solve a riddle in exchange for a very rare reward. The shrine requires a very specific set of numbers to be sacrificed in order to solve the riddle, but once its solved—or too much time has passed—the target number will change. Work together... or pay attention to other offerings to solve the riddle before someone else does, for there can only be one winner per riddle.
Power wishes are a new type of wish that allows you to offer a specific card to the shrine in exchange for a buff that strengthens your next Health, Fame, Love, or Fortune offering: it cuts random failure and boosts Love/Fame wish matching by the same tier (1.5× or 2× the usual wish-target weight). Power wishes do not trigger a shrine cooldown, but will not empower Wisdom wishes.
