"Still In Disbelief" | Momo x Male Reader

It was 9:00PM and you were just finished on cooking jjangmyeon and tteobokki for dinner. You placed the hot foods inside a bowl on the table.

On the left side of the table, there's your fiancee Momo who is smiling because her wait for food is finally over. Yes, she's a food lover and her day isn't complete without it, and you too.

"Here you go, my love.", you placed the foods on the center of the table and walked back at the kitchen to get some spoon and fork. Momo inhaled the scent of it, making her eyes close and smile wider while raising her head more.

"Wow, this looks so delicious Y/N! Thank you!", Momo said in a sing-song style. You returned back at your table and gave her the spoon and fork.

"Hehe, but wait before we eat...", you said, placing your hand in front of her face, not that near as a signal for her to stop. "Hang on just a minute let's wait for a bit.", you reached for your phone placed on top of the couch and opened it. The screen says that the food is now 2 minutes on the way to your location.

"Ehh why?", Momo said, she pouts.

"You'll see.", you winked at her.

After two minutes the delivery guy finally arrives at your house, he pressed the doorbell and you answered by opening the door. The figure of a man holding a plastic with food inside appeared in front of you.

"Here you go sir, that costs 28,000 won.", the delivery guy said after giving you the plastic.
You reached for your wallet and gave him the money.

You two exchanged thank you and you closed the door. Now you go back to the business which is having a house date with your lovely fiancee Momo.

You placed the delivered food on the table and then unwrapped it.
"To make your dinner happier, my love.", you grinned at her. The package has finally unwrapped, and a smoking hot jokbal showed up on both of your eyes and Momo's. She immediately opens her mouth in awe and pouted cutely at you after.

"You really know how to make my heart flutter more for you, didn't you?", Momo smirked. You chuckled and then you get another plate to place for the jokbal. You placed it near at her so that she can reach for it easily.

"Well, isn't it my job though?", you said. You finally took a seat, now facing your soon-to-be wife.
Both of you picked up the spoon and fork.

"And because of that I should be paying you already with a lot of money.", Momo joked and you let out a small laugh because of that.

"You don't need to do that, just only you is fine enough for the repay.", you said as you leaned forward a bit in front on her beautiful face. "Now, shall we eat?"

"Let's go. I'm hungry already.", she hits the spoon and fork together, making a metal clanging sound. You two finally started your dinner. You started to take a spoonful of jjangmyeon and she did the same, but she placed a chunk of jokbal on top of her bowl.

You two ate in silence for a minute and a half until you broke it to say something. "It's our day today, you can eat more if you want my peach.", then you placed another spoonful of the meal to your mouth. You noticed that she's taking a bite without a break, she was just about to swallow the previous one but she took another bite again... making her mouth full.

"Hey, my peach calm down!", you let a chuckle just by seeing her eating like she didn't ate for a week. Gosh, this pig.

"Glad I'm not getting fat easily being like this.", her pronounciation is a bit not clear because her mouth is still half full with food.

"But it's not a problem to me if you're fat then. I will still love you just the way you are.", you said to Momo, making her blush just by looking at her cheeks getting red.

"Aish, let's just finish our dinner.", she lowered down her head while shooking it, trying to hide her face getting beet red. You followed her and you two started to empty the foods.

After finishing the dinner, you two walked into the living room. Momo sat on the couch while you stand behind her.

"Hey, want to watch a movie? You'll like this one by the way. Or not just it, you'll definitely love it.", you said, making her turn her head behind to look at you. "It's new."

"What is it?", she asked you.

"Your favorite Disney character Cruella has a new film. Wanna watch it with me?", you asked her then smirked while shrugging your shoulders.

"Ooh yes yes sure!", Momo aggresively nods at you. You just chuckled at how adorable she looked, imagining her as a child treating her for a trip to the mall after receiving a 5 stars award from the school.

"Wait, stay there and open Netflix already. Imma go grab some popcorn.", you walked through the kitchen to cook popcorn while she followed you and switched the TV to Netflix and searched for the film.

You returned to the living room and finally sit with her on the couch. You gave her her popcorn and then commands her. "Now, play it."

You two watched the film for 2 hours. It's now 11:35 PM and since it's already near to midnight, you two need to go to sleep especially when you saw her yawning after the film.

"Sleepy?"

"Yes but... I thought of a way to make me even sleep easily.", she said while tracing your chin with her index finger.

"Mmmhmmm, what is it?", you asked, lifting the side of your lips.

"Can we do a romantic slow dance? I just wanna be in your arms before I drift away.", she requested, pinching your cheeks.

"Sure, my love.", being the lovable fiancé, you immediatly accept it because that's what she wants.

You two walked into the bedroom and you started to play 'Put Your Head On My Shoulders' by Paul Anka on your cellphone. You placed it on the top of the nightstand and you two started to
stick your bodies to each other, both of your hand locked in a grasp, your other hand placed on her back and she does the same. She placed her head on your shoulder, matching the title of the song. You leaned the side of your head near to her as you smell the scent of her perfume.

During the dance, you two talked.
"Y/N, I'm so lucky to be with you.", she said out of nowhere.

"Me too, Momo. I can't even express how grateful I am to meet you in my life."

"And I promise you, I will never leave your side. I will be there with you always, guiding you to safety because I don't want you to get into danger. " she faced you, cupping your cheeks as you stare at her shining black orbs of her eyes.

"I know that, Momo. But I'm still pissed too that you know, it didn't happened to me too. You shouldn't doing this for then. We could've-",

"Stop thinking about it, Y/N. Just remember that no matter what happens... nothing can keep up apart. Even we live or die. As long as our hearts locked at each
other, our love will be unbreakable and unseperable. Got it?", she assuringly smiles at you. She's stroking your hair at the back gently.

"I will keep that in mind.", you said. You kissed her, feeling the softness of her plump lips.

She indeed follow the last lyrics of the song, she placed her head back your shoulder. "The song is ending, Y/N. Goodnight and...", she leaned closely to your ears, whispering the last words; "I love you."

"I love you too, Momo.", you replied. The song finished then right at the exact moment you received a message notification. You looked it up and opened it, directing you to the messaging app where you and your friend Nayeon's chat box appeared.

"Y/N, we'll arrive there at 7:00 AM. We already bought flowers and candles for Momo on her 1st year since her passing by the way. I'm sure she will be so happy seeing us visiting her complete. Goodnight!", message sent by Nayeon. That made you complely awaken back from the reality. You replied back to her, not wanting to be rude at her for just ignoring her message.

"Noted Nay, Goodnight too."

You turned off your cellphone and placed it at your nightstand. You turned your back and looked at where you and Momo were dancing few minutes ago... but Momo is nowhere to be found.

You then walked at the side of the bed and picked up a picture frame placed near on the lamp. It contains a picture of Momo wearing a dress designed with flowers with a background of her in a wall with many green plants placed beside.

You then slumped your body to the bed. You stared and traced her heavenly face with your finger while tears starting to drop to your cheeks. Your sense finally returns back to you. You then switched your laying position sidewards, now placing the side of the bed where Momo sleeps.

"It's been a year already and I'm still in disbelief that you're gone, Momo. I miss you so much.", you sobbed as the tears starting to stain the sheet of your pillow.

The truth is, Momo isn't even with you since right from the dinner. You were just hallucinating that you're with her. You're still haven't move on from what happened to her. You miss her so bad that it makes you hallucinate that you're with her sometimes. You know this is not good but you still can't help it because well... it feels that you're with her again.

Your girlfriend Momo died last year after trying to save an injured puppy crossing the street. She didn't noticed that a truck was about to approach her, leading her getting hit which gave her multiple broken bones and huge blood loss; causing her being dead on the spot.

During that tragic incident, you excused yourself to her as you leave to buy some milkshakes for the two of you before going home. You can still remember how painful it was for you when you were about to return back at your and Momo's spot, only to witness many people having a screamed in shock and terror while having it too on their faces.

You saw Momo's lifeless and bloody body on the road, with the injured puppy sniffing on her while cuddling her too. Yes, the puppy survived and currently you're taking care of her but she's with Tzuyu as you accepted her request to take control of her for just one day as a way also to introduce her to Kaya and Butter: her two pet dogs.

You named her Peach, based from Momo's name meaning in Japanese.

You decided to take care of her because of what you heard to the witnesses that she died trying to save that puppy. You instead finished that mission of hers because you know she wanted it to happen.

You screamed and sobbed in agony as you suffered a huge amount of pain in your heart and soul, kneeling while having Momo's lifeless body in your arms.

What's even worse is that... the night that tragic event happened, that was the day after you proposed to her, which now makes sense why she's your fiancee. You were planning to set the wedding on her birthday too but unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Going back to what happened earlier, yes... from the eyes of the other people you are actually doing weird and crazy things that doesn't seem really normal.

That dinner with Momo earlier? You're the one who's just eating. Her bowl of jjangmyeon and jokbal along with the spoon and fork is still on the table, left unmoved and already cold.

The part where you two watched a movie? You just placed the popcorn on your side in the couch. You're the one who actually searched for the film instead, not her.

The part where you two are dancing slowly to the romantic song? You're just dancing alone, hugging and even kissed the air.
After all those times, you were just literally talking to nothing.

Now back to where you are, you slowly fell asleep on the bed after you let out a huge amount of tears while holding Momo's picture frame as you placed also too on the top of her pillow.
