"Save Your Tears" | Nayeon x Male Reader

You entered your bedroom and immediately dived into the bed like you're a fish who who dived back into the sea after being stuck into the seashore for almost 30 minutes.

Your front body is facing the bedsheet, feeling the softness of the foam while your arms and legs are completely widened up. You rotated yourself after a few minutes, now you're finally laying in the bed in a proper position.

Your phone vibrated as it received a notification. You wanted to check it out if its important so you reached for it which is placed on top of the small table beside your bed.

As you're now grabbing it, you pressed the power button of your phone and instantly scrolled and checked what's the notification about. You got disappointed when it was just a freaking advertisement coming from Gmail.

You scrolled back, now showing the home screen of your phone. Then, you got frozen into your position when you stared at the lovely picture in front of your eyes.

Your wallpaper of the woman you just had a relationship with. Her name is Nayeon. (A/N: The picture is the one on the top.)

You glanced at her smile. You can't help but to smile too because you just can't resist how it just makes you melt when she reveals those white, shiny bunny teeth of hers.

Then you traced her cheeks and lips. Oh god, you immediately missed kissing those plump lips and pinkish chubby cheeks of hers. It was so addictive because she's just too adorable and all you gotta do was to express your love for her.

Then your smile went to frown quickly when you realized that words again.

Express your love.

You suddenly remembered that you completely failed to do this long to her, which caused the breakup between you two.

Yes, you two just ended your relationship 2 weeks ago. Nayeon is now your 2nd ex-girlfriend. You were completely affected so bad with it, because you didn't want her to go. You're so mad at yourself for wasting someone like her.

She was definitely better than your first girlfriend. She completely gave you everything you wanted and searching for from your previous one. She proved that she's better for you.

But, all you just did was to break her heart in the end. And much worse? You even did it slowly.

Tears started to fall from your cheeks as you placed your phone onto your chest, with Nayeon still visible on your screen.

"How can I move on, when I'm still in love with you?", you muttered to yourself as you're trying to hold onto your tears.

What happened and why did you two broke up anyways?

Seoul National High School
Prom Party 9:00PM

In the middle of the night where noisy atmosphere is all around you, you were hanging out with your friends, which is mostly girls.
Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu aka the School Meal Club trio, as they call theirselves; were talking random things while drinking colas because they were still underage to drink beer.

"Y/N, would you want to join us tomorrow at the amusement park? Some said there was a new ride which is set to be revealed tomorrow, can you make up with us?", Dahyun said which she sounds like she's pleading. They know how fun you are to hang with so they were expecting you to join them.

"Sure! I would love to try it out with you guys.", you said in a proud way.

"Yay!!! Thank you, Y/N!", Chaeyoung hugged you. You smiled at her and messed her hair.
"Tzu, play another games for me... I really want to have another teddy bear in my room.", Chaeyoung pleads to Tzuyu who is sipping her cola on the can.

"Alright you cub, be thankful you're just can't get to resist because of those puppy eyes of yours.", Tzuyu bluntly said as she looks to Chaeyoung who has her hands placed at each like she's praying.

"Oh I love you guys so much.", she tried to hug you three all at once but due to her short her arms are; she just gave Dahyun and Tzuyu a nod then she pinched your shoulder.

Little did you know that someone was watching you not so far away.
She was at the other corner of the room, talking with her friends too, but she can't help but to look at you as she feels jealous as she's seeing Chaeyoung being playful at you. Her heart even clenched more when you two hugged each other and messed her hair.

"You can't even do that to me anymore, even as your girlfriend.", Nayeon hurtfully muttered to herself. She then bowed her head, then thinks for a decision already about her suffering. She couldn't take it anymore. She's not the same you she used to love before.

She's not even the boyfriend she adored in her heart deeply anymore.

She doesn't want to stay like this longer. She wants to be finally free. It may hurt for her to realize herself leaving you completely, but she instead focused on the bright side. She ain't gonna suffer anymore from your cold treatment.

Why would she even feel sorry for you? You don't even see his mistakes and apologize to her. She even thinks that you don't love her anymore.

She finally raised herself and finay made her choice. She will leave you for good. For the greater good, she believes.

Her frown changed back into a smile, a feeling of freedom was behind it as she goes back into facing her friends. Then her friend Yeri invited their group to dance as the DJ switched the music into a funky one.

"Y/N, we'll be right back. We'll just go to the bathroom for a sec.", Dahyun said as all three of them walks away from the court of the school. You were now left alone in your table and as you watched the students slowly approaching the center to dance from the beat.

While watching them, you saw your girl Nayeon dancing in a crowded room along with her friends. She looks so happier than ever, now that she's not with you.

You just shrugged it off as you let her have fun. But when she got your eyes focused at her, she didn't move for a second and then you got shocked when a single teardrop started to fall from her eye.

She immediately ran away from the court which made her friends confused. You too were confused and worried what happened to Nayeon, you followed and you chased her. You caught her in the end of the hallway.

You gripped her arm and made her look at you. "Nayeon, hey. What happened? Is there something wrong?"

Nayeon just stared at your eyes with tears now falling in her cheeks. "How could you manage yourself to do that from me?", she asked you curiously.

"W-what? Nayeon, I don't know what you're talking about." you looked at her with your eyebrows furrowed.

"Ofcourse, you don't know.", Nayeon bitterly chuckled. "You don't even realize what you do to me."

"Nayeon can you please enlighten me? What is going on?", you were completely cluess why she's being like this.

"IDIOT! YOU'RE DIFFERENT NOW. YOU CHANGED.", she finally had enough of you being dumb. "YOU ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU? IS MY LOVE NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU ALREADY, THAT'S WHY YOU'RE BEING LIKE THIS?

SOMETIMES, YOU ALSO AVOID ME AND YOU INSTEAD SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS, LIKE YOU DON'T EVEN THINK THAT YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND. LIKE YOU'RE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP.", Nayeon just continously rants at you while she keeps poking furiously at your chest.

"I feel jealous, Y/N. You're not even there at times when I need you, because you spend most of the time with them... rather than me.", her voice now starting to lower down. "Do they make you happier than how I do to you? Do you feel like your day is complete with them rather than being with me on my side?
Or don't tell me it's because you like one of them."

You failed to dodge at the hit of this part as it straightly went your heart because it is actually true, well maybe because it was YOUR choice anyways to be with them more rather than your girlfriend.
You became blind in love because of your happiness from others.

BUT, deep down you knew you haven't developed any feelings on any of the school meal club trio. Sure, you may be blind, dumb or stupid but you know yourself that you ain't a cheater.

"No! I don't like any of them.", you stated the fact.

"Remember when you said you will never let anything happen wrong that can destroy us both? I trusted those words, Y/N but what did you do? You broke it instead.

Y/N, I don't know you anymore.
It doesn't feel like I'm home now.
You're so cold that you can even sent chills to my bones. It feels like i'm literally being in love with a ghost.", that finally made your mind completely blank. You're just staring at her poor pity state. You can't believe you let all of those happen to your girlfriend. The one who treated you like you're the most special person ever existed in her life.

"I love you, Y/N... but I just can't do this anymore.", she holds you hand. "I don't think this will still. work. I want to be free now. Can you let me go?", she begs at you as you're still in disbelief that how could you do this to her. You want to say something but it feels like there's something blocking your throat which makes you unable to speak.

"Still no words? Anything?", Nayeon bitterly said. She was not surprised that you're like this though. She was even waiting for you to apologize for what you're doing to her but you didn't.

"I can't believe you, Y/N.", Nayeon chuckled again, but those emotions echoed through your ears with pain, agony and suffering all over it. "I'll do the move then. We're done.", she finally lets go of your hand and she ran through the doors of the school.

"NAYEON! NAYEON, WAIT!!!", you shouted her name which made it echo through the whole hallway. You started to chase her again but then you were blocked by her friends Jennie and Jisoo.

"Just don't, Y/N. Can't you see she was badly hurt because of you? Just stay away from her, ok?", Jennie said as she gave you a death stare while she's expanding her arms, blocking you from your way. She was so pissed at how you treated your girlfriend badly.

The three then followed Nayeon instead. You were left alone at the hallway as you heavily sighed. Now on your knees, you clenched your fist as you feel so mad and disappointed at yourself about all of the things she said about your actions to her.

Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu who just got out from the restroom saw you and approached you. "Y/N? What happened? Are you ok?", Chaeyoung asked you as she gently caressed your shoulder.

"Please, go.", you muttered; making them hard for you to be heard on your words.

"Did so-", Tzuyu asked next but she got wuickly interrupted when you bursted out at her.

"JIST PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE FOR A WHILE, OK?", you turned your heard at them, giving them a glare with pain all over your eyes. You were trying to control finally giving in to your emotions. They were set aback from your action so they just let you instead, not wanting to mess with you more.

You then exit the school and ran through your motorcycle. Nayeon and her friends were no longer to be seen around. You drove away back to your house to continue having the moment of recalling what just happened between you and Nayeon earlier.

You just realized that you broke her heart exactly like the first girl you had did to you before. You just want to hurt yourself so bad for being stupid on letting yourself be like someone you hated and do the things she did to you. Forturnately, the school meal club trio were checking on you as you just let her do what they want. They want to make sure you will not do anything stupid.

You planned to make her feel better again by meeting up with her to apologize for everything you did to her.

You want to acknowledge your mistakes. You want to take all the blame. Although you wanted it actually that she could've told you way earlier that you broke her heart. You wanted that she could've told you that she fell apart. So that you two could've fixed it fast to avoid that night in the prom to happen.

Also, not only you were doing this to make her feel better... but you want to do this because you still want to stay with her. You still love Nayeon and you want to make up with her again.

But it all end up to nothing in the end. You realized that it's all too late when earlier you waited for her outside her classroom.

She finally exits her classroom.

You called your ex- girlfriend's name. "Nayeon."

Nayeon saw you for a bit but she immediately avoided her sight at you. She just walked quickly right pass through you, completely ignoring your presence just like what you did to her during your relationship with her.

She literally pretended that you're not even there near her way. Your eyes followed her as she approached a sky- blue short haired woman wearing a varsity jacket of TWICE University, your campus. You know her, she's Yoo Jeongyeon: the famous smart and attractive girl-crush being known by many.

Nayeon hugs Jeongyeon and grabbed her hair as she slowly strokes her fingers at it. You remembered that that is Nayeon's favorite hair color.

You were smiling widely at that sudden callback not until when Nayeon kissed Jeongyeon to the lips, making your whole mood completely out as your heart is slowly being shattered into pieces.

You decided not to execute this plan ready, as you don't want to waste her tears for another after she saw you.

Now you realized that you just did a very big mistake: not only you broke her trust with you... but you completely broke her trust with whole other men around her.

And then you just ran away as you returned to your house, bringing you back to the present where you are in your bedroom now having a breakdown.

All you gotta do now is be happy for her as she finally found someone better than you.

So you changed your plan instead and you choose to fix this problem instead between you and Nayeon to try on starting a new relationship of you two as friends again, well atleast at this way you can still express that you'll still love her and care for her.

You really want to do this still because of one thing: you can't lose her in your life.

You stopped crying as you decided to try it again and save your tears for another day.
