We live in an existence where one single, simple choice, where even the most minuscule miscalculation or slight, where just the brief alteration of one minute detail can branch out into unlimited realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones we know. Some may be known to us. Others may remain foreign. Either way, we are aware of one thing.
We're always left to ponder, 'what happened?'
On August 22, 2021, an online article received traction when it boldly claimed to have revealed Starship Entertainment's new girl group and their debut in the second half of 2021. Word spread about the future activities of former IZ*ONE members An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung, and how they were rumored to appear alongside Starship's new fourth generation girl group. Later that same day, Starship released an official announcement stating that the company did indeed have plans, further confirming the creation of a six-member group. But this left the community dissatisfied. They wanted to know more. Rumors lead into conspiracies as the populace wondered about whether the former IZ*ONE members in question would be making a comeback with the group.
That evening, Yujin accidentally posted a blurry photo of herself with the other five members on her Instagram story, revealing the group's preparation to the masses. The press caught on quick. Word spread like wildfire. This forced the company to immediately make a statement, stressing that a series of proper member introduction videos would be posted on their Youtube channel soon.
In this reality, our girls planned to shoot their 'Show What I Have' videos months in advance, way before they had gotten the chance to get closer to each other. Among other things, their debut schedule was sped up way before any of them got to settle into their new reality as future members of IVE.
However, that wasn't the only thing that differed here.
In this reality, Yujin made a grave mistake, a mistake that would forever change their reality--she let Wonyoung go on without her.
She let Wonyoung go.
And she's about to pay the price for it.
