There is this say that, if you don’t have any money to gamble with? Then you won’t lose money form gambling, hmm? And that’s exactly what today’s update provided!
From now on, you can completely DISABLE the Photocard feature on Fanprose. For more information, please see the Update Patch Notes below:
“New settings are available under Settings > Content to give you full control over photocard drops:
Disable photocards: Turns off all photocard drops and hides photocard features entirely. Your existing collection is preserved.
Disable photocard drops from my stories: Prevents readers from receiving photocard drops when they interact with your stories.
A new setting is also available under Settings > Notifications that lets you disable photocard drop notifications and the reward popup. When turned off, you will still earn cards from your interactions — they just won't interrupt you with a notification or popup. Gift notifications are unaffected by this setting.” - Fanprose, April 24, 2026.
I believe this is just a short update that provides a get-out-of-jail-free card if the Photocard system is feeling overwhelming/frustrating in a sense. But hey! Don’t let gambling blind you! The true joy of Fanprose is of course read Fanfictions of your favorite idols, well, or your mommies (plural). Prof. An is here to help, not to judge!
