The Story Begins

CLINK...CLANK...POUR...MUNCH

Were sounds from a table of nine enjoying their cereal.

The table was occupied from cups of milk or juice or tea to various cereals around with chatter of each girl with ones next to them.

Though there was one girl who was waiting for this moment of all of them sitting together.

Mina rose her hand and waved.

"I have something to say." She said, but no one heard her, "I have something to say," Mina rose her hand more, but no one heard her soft voice as she wasn't one to-

"Mina has something to say girls." Jihyo's booming voice overcame the others as they all stopped their movement with Mina nodding at Jihyo.

She could always count on Jihyo to assist.

"Thank you, so I was up last night on my phone, and I got a notification from my fake account on Insta that (YN) was starting a livestream."

Some looked confused.

"(YN) was broadcasting? He hardly even uses social media to begin with." Nayeon told her as Mina nodded.

"I know, but I think it was because of the upcoming match that he had to promote it. So I logged in and he is now on the way here."

"Right now?" Sana asked as Mina nodded.

"Yup. So as he talked about the upcoming match, people started to ask questions about what he was going to do in Korea. And I figured I would ask a question or two."

"Are you single?~" Momo grinned as...

SMACK SMACK

"Owww!" Momo held her hands over her head while pouting as Jihyo smacked the backside of their head.

"Behave Momo."

"Gomen..." 

"Continue Mina." Jihyo asked of her as Mina nodded.

"Right, anyway, he actually read my question." Mina pointed at herself as some were mildly surprised.

"Yeah? What you ask?" Dahyun asked, slurping more cereal into her mouth after.

"About what was his favorite thing about Korea and get this, he loves K-pop."

Now she had their full interest.

"Wait, so does that mean he knows us?" Chaeyoung circled her finger around the table.

"Oh he knows us. He's a big fan of us." The other either gave similar reactions.

"Are you serious?" Dahyun stated, unfortunately, she had some of her breakfast in her mouth when she talked, having some milk and crumbs come out.

"Geez Dahyun, swallow your food before talking, I think there's cereal from your mouth in my bowl now." Momo said as she continued to eat her food, "and you all call me a pig."

"You're still going to eat that?" Nayeon pointed at the bowl mixed with Dahyun's now.

"It's still food." Momo shrugged after she gulped a spoonful of her cereal. 

"Hehe, never change Momo," Nayeon said as she turned to Mina, "so is he really a fan of us? For real?"

"He's said that he's been with us since Sixteen." 

"Long time." Tzuyu remarked.

"And, he even called us 'the best group of all time,' Mina stated as the other smiled at your opinion.

"The best? Wow." Sana looked at the other members with similar reactions.

"Ohhh~ wonder how he would react if we were to meet him~" Momo grinned once more.

"That's pretty crazy that we're both fans of another," Chaeyoung said, "I mean now it'll be better when we meet him later right?"

"If we're even allowed to go." Dahyun pointed out, "we still have to ask our boss."

"Right, anything else?" Jeongyeon asked as Mina nodded, a smile encasing her.

"Just that he was excited to come here, but it wasn't long since someone asked him to cut off the livestream, since he's flying over here now. But before he ended it, he said that he'd be walking around the area to enjoy the sights and that he's excited to play in front of all the fans...and the best part, he spoke all that, in Korean."

Some girls looked like they misheard.

"Did you say in Korean?" Nayeon pointed at her.

"He speaks Korean?" Sana leaned forward.

"I was surprised too when I heard. I thought I turned on some auto translation or something, but realized it was him halfway through. He didn't spoke 'all' of it, just the ending part, but from what I heard, he was pretty good in it." Mina smiled and nodded at the group.

"What the heck?" Chaeyoung started, "that's...what? How does he know Korean?"

"I don't know, but I don't if he knows a little or a lot so I couldn't say."

"He probably learned it at school," Jihyo shrugged, but smiled at Mina, "still, that's great to hear. Anything else or..."

Mina shook her head.

"He ended it after saying that." Mina explained as the others nodded.

"Well that's great. Now 'if' we meet him, we'll at least know each other," Sana maintained and everyone nodded, "and we can speak to another since he knows the language."

"Man, what are the odds?" Chaeyoung said as some turned to her nodding, "we're a fan of (YN), who's also a fan of ours who happens to know Korean AND suddenly coming here to play." Chaeyoung rose her fingers with each point.

"That is pretty coincidental." Jeongyeon said as the others nodded or shrugged.

"Who cares, now we absolutely have to meet him." Momo said as some agreed.

"Let's not get our hopes up Momo. We're going to try to ask to go, but it's a pretty big ask," Jihyo said, "as for now, let's hurry up and finish eating. We got a meeting with our boss soon."

"We do?" Momo questioned as Jihyo sighed.

"Momo I told everyone yesterday,"

"..."

"Just, finish eating." Jihyo pointed at her bowl as Momo saluted.

"Can do."

MEANWHILE

"-N)...(YN)...wake up." 

Your eyes opened slowly as your body was being shaken.

"(YN), we're here." 

You heard your aunt as you groaned, yawned and you rubbed your eyes to wake yourself up.

"Yawn...W-what time is it..." You said groggily, stretching your legs in the jet.

"Almost three thirty PM. Back home would be close to midnight so we have to get used to that. We're landing in about ten minutes so wake yourself up." She replied as she went to sit in her seat as you sighed and looked out the window but was blinded by the sunlight. 

A minute later and your eyes adjusted and were amazed at the setting as you got close to the window as possible...

"So that's Seoul."

You got your phone out and took a picture of the city as you opened up your Instagram and uploaded the picture. 

You captioned Looks beautiful from up here and then closed your phone to admire the view, trying to find where JYPE was.

'What a view' you thought. 

Just then, an attendant came out of the cabin upfront.

"Excuse me, but we are now approaching the runway, please fasten your seatbelts." You both nodded and did what you were told.

True enough, you felt the plane descend and saw your aunt holding onto her seat hard as the plane descended onto the runway, making the plane shake and screech and then started to slow down. 

"I can never get used to that." She spoke as you laughed.

As the plane fully stopped, the same attendant came back. 

"I would like to welcome you both to Seoul. Unfortunately, you will have to go through customs, but we pretty much made it so that there will be a lack of people there."

"That's fine and thanks for the help." You replied as you and your aunt sat up to gather your belongings. 

The attendant bowed and led you towards the entrance as you got three got off the jet and started walking towards the terminal, it was a change of scenario as everything was so different. 

They offered you a mask if you wanted to keep your identity a secret, but you declined politely.

You went through customs rather smoothly and were brought through a back route and put into what looks like an upgraded taxi as you were being driven to a hotel. 

You got to go inside their private parking lot and taken to your room. 

Two beds, TV, fridge, and a great view. 

A perfect place for a week. 

As you and your aunt were about to relax...

KNOCK KNOCK

You and your aunt looked at one another to see who would get up.

"You're younger." She told you as you sighed and heard your aunt laugh as you got up and opened the door as a woman was standing there in business attire. 

"Greetings, Mr. (LN), I'm Kyung Sunzo. You can just call me Sun for short. I apologize for not being at the airport to greet you. I'm here to accompany you to the stadium." She spoke in English. "Think of me as your personal aid and translator for your upcoming event." She bowed in front as you nodded.

"Well we could use the aid, but I can speak Korean just fine." You spoke in Korean as Sun was visibly surprised.

"Oh? You speak Korean?" you nodded.

"(YN), did you forget to mention that on the forms?" Your aunt also spoke in Korean as she shook her head as you shook your head.

"They didn't ask on them." You replied as Sun nodded.

"Our apologies. We assumed we would need a translator," she explained now in Korean.

"Don't worry about it," you waved it off, "hardly anyone knows I do."

"Thank you. Now I apologize. I know it's on short time, but we must get you to the stadium for the match." She resumed talking in Korean now as you spoke back in the same.

"Right now?" You asked as she nodded, "isn't it in like seven hours?"

"Yes. You will now be meeting your teammates as well as pre-match interviews, photoshoots, some VIP fan meetings and a meeting or two over lunch."

"Great..." you feinted a smile as your aunt snickered at your reaction at the events to come.

Your aunt told you that it was ok to go while she stays and rests as you asked Sun for a minute to get ready as she nodded. 

It didn't take long to gather your bag with your shoes and a few items of travel as you said goodbye to your aunt and headed on out with Sun.

The drive was actually nice, seeing the buildings and streets filled with people walking around as you were taking in each moment. 

All the while, Sun explained that the company has kept their eyes on you, and not only that, turns out you were known around here as well as basketball was a favorite pastime here. 

That's when you figured that this was going to get crazier when you realized that there are fans of yours here.

You arrived at what appears to be a dome-like building. You stepped out of the car and into the building with Sun, getting a glimpse of the inside.

The arena was amazing. 

Sure you played on courts, but high school courts primarily, this was something else. 

You looked and observed four men that were in basketball gear practicing their shots, while a group of other males and females on the sidelines taking pictures of them.

You were informed of who your team was, and it was a bit of a shock to hear who they were, it was a bigger shock to see them upfront since being a fan of K-pop.

"And there's your teammates." You turned to Sun who said on your side.

"Yeah, pretty crazy who I heard my teammates were. But seeing them live is-"

"Hello!"

You turned forward to see one of the idols approaching you.

Bang Chan of Stray Kids approached with waving hands as you waved back. 

Meeting an idol was no joke, no matter who it was and for it to be Chan from Stray Kids no less.

He bowed to you as you returned it.

"I am Chan." He spoke in English slowly. "Are you (YN)?" 

"Yes I am (YN)." You spoke in Korean as his expression turned to shocked as he pointed at you.

"You can speak Korean?" He asked as you nodded. 

His shocked expression turned to a smile as you smiled back. 

You knew all idols were overzealous and friendly so this was going to be fun.

"It's very nice to meet you. This will be very easy talking to you now." He spoke in his native language as you nodded, "come, let's have you meet the other three. You know them?" He asked as you nodded to that as well.

"(YN), I shall leave you be. I'll be around if you need me. You have my number." Sun stated as you nodded at her and you three said goodbyes as you and Chan approached the other three on the court.

"Hey! Look who it is!" Chan shouted as you smiled at his happy persona.

"We can see that," One of them said as you five got in a circle formation, "hello. My name is-"

"Dong Bin. I know you from Produce." You cut off the English off one as he and the other two had the same reaction as Chan, "yeah, I know Korean." You said to them as the three smiled.

"Nice. And yes I'm Kim Dong Bin." The one you cut off bowed as you did as well.

"Chanyeol."

"And I'm Baekho."

'Nuest and Exo too?They are definitely bringing in some famous people.' You thought. 

"Well, I see you all met." The five of you turned towards the voice, "I'm Choi Seung, or Choi if you want. I'm the organizer of all this." You saw the four idols bow and then so did you, "we're glad you all can make it, especially you (YN). I'm surprised to hear that you can spoke Korean. I'm sorry for assuming-"

"It's quite alright, sir." You spoke the last part as he nodded. 

"How was the flight?" You nodded.

"Pretty great sir," 

"Good, now let me tell you the details for this match." And while he started to explain what the game was going to be...

Meanwhile 

"Thank you nine for being here on short notice." Mr. JYP of JYPE welcomed his TWICE group in his office as the nine of them were circled in front of his desk, "sorry for the sudden announcement." he spoke and each member nodded, "as well as a sudden performance for you nine. You're about to perform a mini-concert. I know you're on your break, but it'll be a short ride and performance as well. I made sure we wouldn't have you go all out too much."

"We have no problem with that," Jihyo answered for the nine as he nodded, "we'll bring as much energy as we can sir."

Though some weren't exactly happy about having to miss the match today now, seeing as how you were going to play, but work is work and they were here to answer.

"Where at?" Sana asked.

"At a basketball match?"

"...basketball?" Nayeon repeated as the other girls were wondering now...

"Yes. You'll be performing a halftime concert at a charity basketball match today. It's actually a huge event."

The nine looked at one another.

"We know. It's like big news around," Dahyun said as JYP nodded, "all the players are idols, celebs, actors and even (Y-uh, one person from the states whose really good is here." Dahyun almost said your name as JYP smiled.

"Ah, then, no need to explain to you nine on what it's about then. Again it's not far and you only need to do three songs and you won't be interacting with anyone. You'll have a private room to get ready in and you'll be in and out before you know it."

Each girl smiled and nodded.

"It's more than okay." Jihyo answered. 

"Is it possible to watch the game?" Sana asked as JYP looked at her.

"Sure, but I'd prefer in your own private room there."

"That's fine with us." Momo said as JYP nodded.

"Okay, then let's discuss the songs and times okay?" He asked as they nodded and gathered around to hear what's going to happen, though most of there thoughts weren't on the songs or the concert themselves.

Rather a certain player from the states.

Okay, so this is pretty much everyone gathering up, so a filler. Sorry if it seemed boring to you, but the next chapter will be the meet-up and possibly the main storyline of the book itself. 

I added those four idols because, why not. Plus I like their music so yeah. Don't worry, others will show up sooner or later.
