Date Night

You thought you were ready for your date with Jiheon. You’ve been with her during her model shoots, to her concerts, and during meet and greets. You didn’t realize how wrong you were.

How did you end up with this chance?

You were the lucky fan that somehow won a dinner with any Fromis 9 member of your choosing. Being a big fan of Jiheon, it was an easy decision.

And so here you were, dressed to impress and hopefully not embarrass.

You’re early to the fancy restaurant. Some reasonably priced high end place that Jiheon’s been looking forward to. Reservations were made months in advance. You came in your best suit and tie. One of her group members sent you a photo of her getting ready and so you tried to match.

What you didn’t realize was that they were playing a joke on you.

You see Jiheon coming out but instead of a dark top and white skirt she’s in a rather pretty blue dress.

She steps out of her and you rush to greet her.

Sadly your shoe laces have somehow untied and you trip over yourself and end up falling on the sidewalk. You catch yourself from falling face first, but do end up impaling some broken glass that was not there when you had walked by earlier.

You quickly stand up and do your best to ignore the pain as you continue forward to her.

“Hello Jiheon! Nice to meet you!”

“Hello, are you okay? I saw what happened just now.”

You were a little embarrassed, but quickly assure her that you’ll be okay to continue the night, “I’m okay, just a little stumble. It will go away in a bit.” Which was mostly truthful, since her concern and kindness eased the pain in your hand.

But she notices how you’re holding your hand and immediately goes to her glove compartment. She pulls out a little first aid kit and motions to bring your hand over.

You comply and move closer to her, and watch as she cleans up your hand without being disturbed by the blood and fragments. You on the other hand wince and make little squeals whenever a shard comes out and when the disinfectant is applied. By the time she’s done, you’ve got your eyes closed and a few tear streaks. She gently pats you on the back until you’re okay.

Then you realize that even though you had caught yourself from falling face first, your pants have a few tears in them, one of which happens to be along the middle.
