"Holy walk of shame."
“You just need to relax and jump.”
“How can you expect me to be relaxed when my life solely relies on a piece of rope?” Aeri turned back to look at Minjeong with wide eyes, gesturing vaguely at the zip line in front of them.
“Well, you–”
“Can you just move and let it go already? The sun is killing me over there!” Yizhuo groaned from the back, dramatically fanning herself while giving Aeri an unamused look.
Aeri opened her mouth to fight back, narrowing her eyes at their maknae but immediately stopped when a strangled squirrel’s squeak got to their ears.
“Guys–can you–I'm kinda stuck here–” Jimin let out a pained sound from the other side of the line, her ponytail seemingly stuck on the zip line’s mechanism.
It all started when their agency unexpectedly allowed them to have a week-long vacation.
Despite their initial surprise, they had easily managed to soften up to the idea of actually resting. And as they headed to their fourth day of vacation, things had been going pretty well so far.
But peace could never last for so long.
They had spent their initial days all resting on their own, choosing to relax before attempting to do anything too energy-consuming.
But by the time the fourth day kicked in, Aeri had had the marvelous idea to invite them all to stay at her place for the remaining free days they had.
And what could possibly go wrong with four overworked and constantly stressed women all staying in one secluded place together?
Well…
“What do you mean he's bald?! He is certainly not! He just went through surgery! Of course they shaved some of his fur!” Aeri pulled Cooper closer to her chest, wrapping her arms over his trembling body. “Don't be mean to my baby,” she shot Yizhuo a glare.
“I was just stating facts!” Yizhuo cackled, pointing her finger at the poorly shaved dog. “I mean, look at him!”
Aeri looked down at him, threading her fingers through his remaining fur and clicked her tongue. “I don't care if he's bald or not, no one is allowed to disrespect my old man.”
Yizhuo raised her arms in surrender. “I didn't even call him old, you did that yourself bro. See?” She mockingly raised her eyebrow. “You're mean to him. Meaner than me actually!”
Aeri’s jaw dropped and she thought of a way to answer for barely a handful of seconds before Jimin stepped in between the two, her body blocking their view of the other.
“Enough!” The leader held up her hands dramatically. “If you put me through another minute of this stupid argument, I will make sure to hang myself with toilet paper in front of you two.”
Just as Jimin finished talking, the front door opened, revealing an overly giddy Minjeong behind.
“Guys~!” She happily hummed, bringing two takeout bags up for the other three to see. “I'm back and I brought dinner! Let's watch a–” Her eyes comically widened as she suddenly realized what she had just walked into.
Both Aeri and Yizhuo were on the floor, looking like they were about to throw hands at each other, while Jimin was standing in the middle, both arms extended as if helplessly trying to separate the two others.
“–movie..?” Minjeong finished, her mouth agape. “What the hell is going on here?!”
Aeri nearly jumped to her feet, running toward Minjeong with a flabbergasted expression on her face. “Jeongie I–Ningie was calling Coopi bald and I was–”
Minjeong’s face fell as her eyes instantly lost all of their previous innocent shine. “She… what..?”
