Your cellphone's alarm buzzed loudly enough for you to rise to your feet and climb into bed. You moan, rubbing your eyes and stretching your body before rising up and walking away from your room.
You went downstairs and into the kitchen to start preparing breakfast. You served the dishes on the table and began to eat by yourself initially because you know she dislikes joining you at the table.
After placing your dish in the sink, you were perplexed as to why she hadn't yet gone down. She usually appears while you're eating and then calmly waits for you until you're through, but today... That was not the case.
You have no choice but to do it now because the extra 5 minutes you offered her is plenty. You are already used to the risk of another outburst or reprimand from her. You walked upstairs, stood in front of her door, and knocked.
"Tzuyu, breakfast's ready."
You knocked again after 3 seconds.
"Tzuyu, you got to wake up!"
And again...
"Tzuyu, open up."
And for the final time, you knocked. You didn't call out anymore, instead you waited for Tzuyu to answer the door for 5 seconds instead, but you still didn't get a response from her.
"That's it," you said, having had enough. You went inside your bedroom for a moment to get something, then returned to her door.
You were now holding a pair of goggles in your hands, but they didn't appear to be ordinary goggles that you could buy anywhere. It's reasonable, but it has a highly particular feature that only people with jobs like yours should handle.
Because the goggles you were wearing could see through the walls, you activated them and scanned the entire room from the outside. You noted that there were no indicators of a person inside the room right now, which only meant one thing to you and made your head shake in frustration.
"Ah shit," you grumbled. You raised your arm, faced the watch on your wrist, and pressed something there. The screen now displays figures that indicate your client's current distance, which was rather far. You then changed it to a sensory map and noticed a dot flashing away from your current location.
"This girl...", you said as you returned your goggles to your closet before heading out the door.
-------------------------
After nearly 15 minutes of waiting in a mall parking lot, you noticed a lady walking outside as she approached the car. As she opened the door, you turned your head, causing her jaw to drop in amazement and disbelief at what she saw.
"Very slick. You got me on this one, Miss," you said, nodding and pursing your lips as you tapped your fingers on the driving wheel.
"W-what... h-how..." says Tzuyu.
"You really think I won't know where you'll be, Tzuyu?" you asked as you glanced at your watch, a hint you offered her but you know she'll never understand.
"HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?" she shouted, squeezing the paper bags she was holding hard.
"Imma just say... "connections," you winked, deceiving her. You have to do that since you can't just reveal your true self, especially when it's still part of your job. "Now hop in. We have to go home," you smirked as Tzuyu rolled her eyes at you and sighed deeply before fiercely entering the car and taking a seat behind you with her shopping bags.
You drove back home together and parked the car in the garage. You and Tzuyu exited the car together and returned to the mansion.
"Bring this all to my room, then get the hell out," Tzuyu orders, pointing to the shopping bags inside the car. "I'm going to take a beauty rest."
"Aye aye maam," you replied with a salute. Something stopped you just as you were about to move. You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket and took it out to see what you had received. You instantly answered the phone since it was a call from Tzuyu's father.
"Hello, Mr. Chou."
"Agent Once, how are you so far?", the man replied behind the phone.
"Uhh... doing good, Mr. Chou. Thank you for asking.", you smiled. " How about you, sir?"
"Here I am, busy preparing for the event but I'm currently resting as of now after we just had a last meeting today here.", he replied. Mr. Chou isn't in Taiwan right now because he's currently in the Philippines for business reasons. He's in his room on a hotel and he just took a sit in the couch while talking to you on the phone. "My Tzuyu, what is she doing?"
"She's currently resting in her room, Mr. Chou."
"That's good to hear.", he nodded. "Thank you for volunteering to take care of my Tzuyu even if it's just temporary, Agent Once. I'm afraid I might wasted some of your time already-"
"N-no, Mr. Chou. You didn't, I swear." you interrupted him, not wanting him to feel guilty or awkward about something you wanted to do for him as well. "It's all part of my job, and I just don't want to waste my friend's trust in me by failing to complete this work," you told him, laughing at your humble response.
You are an undercover spy agent working for an organization and your mission is actually fairly simple: you must act as a babysitter while simultaneously disguised as one for Chou Tzuyu, the daughter of businessman Chou Yi- Cheng, who is temporarily abroad from Taiwan on business. Mr. Chou requested this in your organization, and the top agent in your team selected to assign you to this one.
That explains why you and Tzuyu have been constantly together in this house for a week now, albeit it hasn't been easy getting along with her because she treats you coldly and brutally. It seemed as if you were a massive storm arriving from a town, and she's the resident who despises rain.
You have no idea why she's acting this way toward you, but you're focused on the most crucial aspect of being in here with her: watching and caring for her through anything unless it requires privacy.
"If that's the case, don't worry, I'll be home soon and you'll get what you deserved in return," he said, assuring you that you actually just let it pass even though you're not that interested in it because you don't know what it could be but it's making you sure that it's not the one you're expecting to have. "Uhh, could you please hand the phone to Tzuyu?" he said.
"Sure, Mr. Chou. Just a sec." you excused yourself as you took all the shopping bags and carried them inside as you headed upstairs to her room. You knocked while informing her that her father wishes to speak with her. She opened the door for you, a blank expression on her face as she simply let you drop the bags inside her room and hand her the phone.
You gave her a sheepish smile while keeping our gaze fixed on her before exiting and closed the door behind you. You grumbled and returned downstairs to do some housework for the time being.
- 2 DAYS LATER -
You're just chilling inside your car, just like you were at the mall two days ago, while waiting for her to finish having her own fun outside. Unlike the prior time, she did not sneak away from you by herself. You are aware of her motive this time, which is to attend a birthday celebration that a friend has organized in their home right now. As her bodyguard too, you must accompany her home because you know she will be extremely drunk after this.
However, this does not imply that you will lose monitoring to her. Aside from tracker devices, you also used SOMEONE to be your eyes and ears on what's going on inside because your instinct is telling you something that alerts you to a horrible situation that might happen to the party at any point, especially Tzuyu herself.
While listening to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," your earpiece beeped twice before the familiar voice asked you to listen.
"YN, uhh I think something's wrong in here," stated your sidekick and rookie in the organization, Shin Yuna, also known as Agent Nayu. She's the one you appointed to examine and monitor Tzuyu's movements inside while simultaneously posing as one of Tzuyu's friend's visitors.
"Why, what is it?" you said as you paused your playlist to prevent the following song from interfering with your interaction with her.
"Tzuyu's alone with two men on her side right now, and she looks very uncomfortable being with them," Yuna said, her gaze fixed on Tzuyu, who was sandwiched by two men sitting both at her sides and talking to her. All she can do is switch her look back and forth, confusedly.
"Can you tell me what you observe about those two that makes Tzuyu respond like that?" you asked.
"They keep pushing themselves towards Tzuyu, and there's this one who promptly made a touch to her on her arm," Yuna stated after seeing what the guy did to Tzuyu after taking advantage of the situation when he noticed Tzuyu's free arm lying on the table.
"Where are her friends?" you asked, your eyebrows now meeting in wrath.
"Just dancing their asses off here with the loud music.", she said as she glanced at everyone dancing crazily in the center with a loud ass beat as if they move like there's no tomorrow.
"Yuna, would you mind distracting the two away from Tzuyu so that I can get her out there? We don't know what might happen next, and she's obviously being left out there," you replied, a hint of concern evident in your tone of voice.
