Sana just finished serving drinks at the table that was near the stages. The men were happy to see her cheerful expressions and her energetic greetings. It was a normal night again for her. Nothing much was going on. But it was the weekend, so she expected more patrons to visit and enjoy the night.
Though as much as she wanted to concentrate on her work, she couldn’t forget her conversation with Mina in their apartment days ago.
Sana slumped on the couch next to Mina as they blankly stared at the tv. “Remember when I kept telling you it would be cool to meet someone from the mafia?”
Mina nodded, eyes not leaving the screen. “I recall. Why?”
She sighed. “I want to go back in time so I can slap myself silly.” Shifting her position, lifts her legs on the couch to hug them close to her chest and then ducked her face into her arms. “Maybe even go further so I can tell high school me to stop fucking around and study, so I wouldn't fail that test.”
“Okay?” Mina finally looked at her. “Wait—what happened?”
“It’s Tzuyu. It’s been, I don’t know, two months? She keeps booking me and things have been getting weird.”
“So, she’s been asking lap dances from you for two months straight and it’s only now that you’re finding it weird?” Mina raised a brow.
Sana lifted her head and jutted her lower lip forward. “Well, a yes and a no?” She looked at Mina. “Like she comes in every other week, and we would do nothing but talk?”
“While you’re grinding yourself on her?” She interrupted and let out a weak laugh. Then she furrowed her brows. “Is this the no touching kind?” Sana shot her a glare. “What?”
“Not helping!”
“Then what?”
“Ong keeps accommodating her. He’s like the lap dog of the Dong Sok. So when Tzuyu is around, he says yes to her all the time.” Sana threw her arms to the side, letting out a deep sigh. She turned to Mina again. “Can’t you ask your mafia girlfriend to switch her out or something?”
Mina immediately blushed at the term, Sana noticed it, raising a brow. Mina stuck her pointer finger out. “Okay, one–she’s not my girlfriend.” Then another one. “And two, I have no feelings for her!”
“That’s all about Chaeyoung, Mina.” Sana smirked at her.
“My point is, I can’t do anything about it!”
Sana groaned and threw her head back on the couch. She couldn't stop thinking about their hug the other night. “Ugh, this sucks.”
“Why? Are you starting to like her?” Mina gave a concerning look.
“I don’t know? Maybe?” She could still feel Tzuyu’s body pressed on hers and she felt herself blush from it.
Mina hummed. She probably was tired of fighting back already. “How old is Tzuyu?”
Sana paused to think. Trying to remember her conversation with Tzuyu the other week. “I don’t know? 27? 26?”
Mina shrugged. “Well—it’s better than Kazuha.”
She sighed as she walked back to the bar and leaned on the balcony. She scanned the room to see if there were any customers waving for another drink. But then she noticed three new figures enter the club. They were women; very, very familiar women.
Sana started walking over and paused when she watched them sit in a booth near the exit. One of them was smiling widely at the strippers walking past them and one was hiding her face behind her hair.
She didn't think twice and rushed over to their table.
“Oh my god. Why are you guys here?” Sana tried her best to keep her voice low to not make her workmates notice. Momo and Nayeon whipped their heads to her direction, they beamed at the sight of their friend. Nayeon whistled at Sana’s outfit.
“Damn, girl,” Nayeon said with a smirk, looking at her from head to toe. “You here for a good time?”
Sana rolled her eyes and took a deep breath. “You didn’t answer my question, why are you here?”
“I got the night off!” Momo almost shouted, lifting both her arms and then wrapping them around Mina and Nayeon. “And we want to party! You know, throw money at hot girls.”
Sana rubbed her forehead roughly and then pointed a finger at Momo. “Throw anything at me and I’ll ban you guys from this place. I mean it.” She then shot a look at Mina, silently asking for an explanation.
Mina gave her an apologetic look. “I’m sorry, I know you didn’t want us to go here while you’re working but Nayeon and Momo were really bored, and they gave me the pout.” She gave her two friends the side eye and then looked back at Sana. “I’m weak.”
“It’s okay, Minari.” Sana sighed out. “I just hope—"
Suddenly Miyeon walked next to her, grabbed the tray away from her arms again. “Babe, your regular is here,” she quickly said, smiling sweetly at her friends and then walked away.
Sana whipped her head back at the entrance and sure enough, Tzuyu walked in with a couple of Dong Sok members. “Fuck,” she cursed under her breath, putting a hand at the side of her face, thinking that they wouldn’t notice her.
“Tzuyu?” Mina looked up at her.
Sana sighed again. “Yeah, she’s always on time.”
“Wait—so we get to meet her?” Nayeon asked excitedly. She looked back and eyes immediately finding the gang members. She whipped her head back at Sana. “How long has she been booking you again?”
“Two months,” Sana and Mina spoke at the same time. Momo and Nayeon widened their eyes, and both looked at Sana.
“Mina!”
“Sorry!” Mina threw her hands up in surrender. “We were talking about this the other day.”
“Wow, this person must be really in love with you.” Momo sank back on her seat as she skimmed through the menu for drinks.
“Or she really wants to get in your pants,” Nayeon added, smirking.
Sana closed her eyes and tried to compose herself. The fact that people keep mentioning Tzuyu like this was starting to get to her and she really didn’t want to lose her cool while she was at work. She carded her hand through her hair. “No. Look, I gotta go. I’ll meet you guys after—”
Suddenly a tall figure was behind her. “Miss Sana?” It was no mistake that it was Tzuyu, she knew that voice anywhere.
“Fuuuuuck.”
She looked back at Tzuyu then held a hand out and mouths that she was going to change first. Tzuyu nodded obediently and watched Sana walk away and disappear into the back rooms.
Tzuyu wasn’t sure if she should stay there but when she felt three pairs of eyes on her, she slowly turned around and felt herself panic when the three women were really looking at her.
She cleared her throat and bowed at them, smoothing out her tie. “Sorry to interrupt you guys. I thought something bad happened to Miss Sana,” she said as she stood up straight.
“No! Not at all,” Mina suddenly said and waved her hands at Tzuyu. “Sorry we kept her from you.”
Momo beckoned her to sit with them and Tzuyu knew that Chaeyoung wanted her to be better with strangers, so she decided to take the empty space right next to Mina.
