Y/N’s POV
“Hey sir, there is this kid at the gate,” the guard said.
“Show me John,” I said.
John nodded his head, bringing us to the gate. Once we arrived, we saw this girl standing at the gate carrying just a small backpack.

(the girl they saw)
I asked John who the girl was which he replied with a shrugged shoulder. I looked at Ziyu who drew a sword, telling us to stand back. I turned to look at Chaerim who held a flaming hammer in her hand. I took out my delta gun and pointed at the girl.
“State your name, interloper,” Ziyu said in a menacing voice.
I looked at the girl who shrieked and put her hands up.
“Wait wait! I’m sorry, I’ll go,” she said.
I looked at the girl closely and realized she seemed familiar. I told her to stop and asked who she was. I added that I kept seeing her coming to my home. The girl spoke in a fearful voice, introducing herself as Nana. She pointed at my home and explained that it was her family’s home generations ago.
“Oh I see. Can someone verify if she was lying?” I asked.
“Her heartbeat indicates fear, but not deception,” Ziyu answered.
“I…don’t really have anywhere else to go right now, I thought I’d come here and see if there’s any chance I could stay for a bit..” Nana said, trembling.
I shook my head and allowed her to come in. John opened the gate as I told Ziyu that we needed to up our guard. Ziyu kept her sword up which made me point the delta gun at Nana. Nana started to cower in fear, asking us not to hurt her. She even agreed to leave if we asked. I looked at Ziyu who told her to come in and suggested we question her. I nodded my head, holding Nana’s hand and leading her into the house.
“Sorry this place is mine now. You are free to stay here though,” I said.
“This is a suspicious timing,” Chaerim intervened.
Nana thanked us but asked if we could lower our weapons. I lowered my gun as the sword on Chaerim’s hand disappeared. Ziyu looked at Chaerim and said that Nana’s body does not indicate deception. I nodded my head and looked at Nana for a second before looking back at both Ziyu and Chaerim. They did not say anything as I looked back at Nana who thanked me but asked if I would not point the gun at her.
“Fair enough,” I said, lowering the gun.
I looked at Chaerim whose flaming hammer dissipated from her hands. On the other hand, Ziyu mentioned that Nana’s body did not indicate any deception. I nodded my head and told Ziyu and Chaerim that they could ask Nana any questions. Ziyu nodded her head as we went into the kitchen and I poured Nana a cup of water. I handed her the water, telling her not to be scared.
Nana’s POV
I took the water and drank but I was still frightened.
“Who.. who.. Who are you people?” I asked.
“People you should not trifle with,” the tall lady with blue hair answered me,
Hearing what she said made me more frightened as I explained that I just needed a place to stay. She then added that my time of arrival was the most suspicious. I apologized to everyone immediately for interrupting. No one said a word as I explained that I just wanted a place to stay. This made the blue-haired lady say that my time of arrival was suspicious. I became scared from her words as the guy who led me in introduced himself as Y/N, the owner of osborne house.
“I apologise if I was interrupting… and thank you… for letting me in…” I said, still shivering in fear.
“My name is Chaerim, the Firefox, Guardian of the Last City,” the dark blue-haired lady said.
I nodded my head as I turned to look at Y/N, who said I was free to stay at his home. I was about to thank him when he mentioned that if I did anything wrong, I would face the consequences. This made me feel even more nervous as he pointed at Chaerim and the blue-haired lady.
“My name is Ziyu. A kitsune warrior,” the blue haired lady introduced herself.
“Just… show me where I can stay… I promise… not to get… in your way,” I said, still feeling scared.
I looked at Y/N who just nodded his head, as he told the two ladies next to him that they could ask me questions. Hearing this made me tremble even more as I wondered if my old home had become a police station. I then felt someone handing me something which turned out to be Y/N. He handed me a cup of water which I took.
Ziyu’s POV
“Ziyu? You’re the expert here.” Chaerim said to me.
I nodded my head and looked at Nana, asking for her real name, date of birth and place of birth.
“Kwon Nayeon! March 9 2001, and uhh, just down the street at the nearest hospital actually,” Nana said, still trembling.
I could not sense anything wrong with what Nana said. I crossed my arms and asked her for her current residence.
“N-nowhere, I had to leave my last place, that’s why I came here, I don’t have any other ideas..” Nana explained.
I looked at Y/N who asked if Nana was lying. I shook my head as I saw him holding Nana’s hand and walking off. Seeing this kind of made me shake my head, making me wonder if Y/N was a playboy.
Y/N’s POV
“Nana. Please finish the water,” I said to her.
I looked at Nana and she gulped down the water very quickly. I shook my head and reached out for her hand. She took my hand but it seemed to be trembling. I walked her up to my room and told her that she could sleep here. I then explained that it was my room but did not have much space. Nana scratched her head and looked around. She looked back at me and thanked me.
“I apologize if I scared you. Things have been crazy around here lately,” I said, giving her a hug.
What I did not realize was that giving Nana the hug, she did not hug me back immediately. It was about thirty seconds into the hug that Nana hugged me back and started to cry. The crying surprised me as I quickly took a tissue to wipe her tears. I noticed Nana tried to hold back her tears as I sat her down on the bed.
“I’m sorry it’s just this has been a really hard time and you’re so kind to let me stay here but they were pointing weapons at me and I’m scared for the future and I don’t know what to do now and I…” Nana stopped and started to sniffle loudly.
I pat Nana on the back, telling her to stay here. I added that she would be protected. She nodded her head as I asked her if she was a fan of Nmixx JR. Nana showed me a confused face, but I asked her again if she had heard of them.
“I can’t say I have. Why?” Nana answered.
“Oh. They actually live here. They are my children,” I explained.
Nana showed a surprised face and nodded her head. I smiled but realized that Nana did not bring any spare clothes with her. I suggested that she could wear Baekwon’s clothes as they are of similar height. Nana nodded her head and thanked me. I stood up and Nana followed me to the girls’ room.
