Chapter 4

Authour’s POV

“I… I…”  Eunseo stuttered.

Y/N was shocked at what he saw as Eunseo said she could remember things.

“I am… I remember things… I… am fighting someone… a horned warrior… I remember….her…” Eunseo said, pointing at Ziyu.

“Oh no… Oh no…” said Ziyu, feeling worried. 

Y/N’s POV

Sensing something was not right, I took the delta belt. 

“I…am not Eunseo… My name was Hefnd… I am…I am an ahamkara reborn…” Eunseo continued to talk.

I felt uneasy at this point as I looked at both Queen Mara and Ziyu who showed worried faces. I turned to see Eunseo who suddenly disappeared. 

“No wonder Riven was so eager to grant your wish. This is bad,” Queen Mara said.

I stood up, walking towards the window to see if Eunseo had gone out of the house.

“Young love is such a beautiful thing, is it not?”

I heard this sentence and looked around. I could not find the person but that sentence sounded very sarcastic. 

“Such a feast of desires,” the voice said.

I felt very annoyed but could guess that the voice could be Riven’s.

“You poor thing, you,” she said again. 

I became even more annoyed, warning Riven that I would kill her. I heard a scoff which made me turn to see it was Ziyu who scoffed. She told me that wanting to kill an Ahamkara was cute. This made me feel worried as I asked what we should do as I wanted to whoop Riven’s ass.

“One does not simply ‘whoop’ an Ahamkara’s ‘ass’,” she explained.

I nodded my head and asked them what we should do now. 

“It is unclear. Hefnd will seek to grant more wishes and gain power, likely in service of bringing back Riven,” Ziyu explained. 

I nodded my head, saying that I would just wait for Eunseo to return. Queen Mara shook her head and said that there was no Eunseo. I was surprised but insisted to them that there may be another Eunseo in this world but not the one we saw earlier. 

“But there is now a live ahamkara running wild thanks to you,” Ziyu said, in a stern manner.

“He does not bear all the blame, I admit. Riven was clever, using our very suspicions of her against us.  She predicted that I would try to restore Eunseo’s memories,” Queen Mara explained.

I nodded my head and walked to my drawer, taking out a card deck. I looked into the mirror, seeing a red dragon behind it.

“Your parlor tricks will be of little use against Hefnd, let alone Riven,” Queen Mara explained.

I smiled, telling her that I know. I added that it was just having my own business, telling her that it was not a trick. This made her say it was cute as Ziyu intervened.

Ziyu’s POV

“Queen Mara, go and warn anyone you can about Hefnd, I’ll make preparations here,” I said to Queen Mara.

She nodded her head, saying that she would speak to the vanguard immediately. She departs through a scission in the air as I turned my attention to Y/N who was smiling. His smiling annoyed me as I told him that he should not be serious. I added that he had no idea how serious the current had become. He nodded his head, explaining that he had to keep his head up.

“Fine. Gather the children. We must speak to them immediately,” I said.

“Got it,” he said.

We headed to the childrens’ room and Y/N explained what happened earlier. 

“Listen to me carefully kids, ok?” I asked.

The six of them nodded their heads as I explained to them that they must be cautious with every thought they have. I also reminded them to purge all desires from their minds and to think only with their will. The kids each said they understood and I knew I was getting their fullest attention.

“Every want you have, Hefnd will exploit. If you hear a voice speaking to you, no matter how familiar it may sound, do not listen. I repeat, DO NOT LISTEN,” I said in a serious tone.

They all understood as I looked at Baekwon and told her to keep her sword closeby. Baekwon understood but I warned her that this would not be a battle of weapons but a battle we must fight with our minds. 

“Understood maam. So what do we do now?” she asked.

“For now, we will sit tight and not leave the house,” I answered her.

Y/N’s POV

I smiled and looked at the mirror, seeing dragreder moving past inside. I looked at everyone and told them to sleep and headed back to my room to sleep. 

Authour’s POV

The children went to their beds to sleep while Ziyu headed to the living room and started to rest. The following morning, someone arrived at the gate.

“Hello? Great fox?” said the Titan.

The home security guard walked to the gate to greet the person.

“Hi? How can I help?” the guard asked.

The Titan requested to speak to the great fox and the guard contacted the house via the phone. He informed whoever it was and the person told the guard to let the Titan in. The Titan stepped in after the guard opened the door as he asked if It was the realm that Hefnd infested. The guard just pointed at the house and ushered the Titan in. Meanwhile, Y/N was looking at the mirror and dragreder came out of it. Y/N smiled as Dragreder started to circle around the house. The titan saw dragreder and became concerned.

Y/N’s POV
