Valentine Yapper: Kinks

So, I guess it’s my turn on the board.

This thought chapter is mostly going to be about kinks, because for the most part, this is where I usually get started when writing smut.

That being said, you’ll probably ask yourself:

Why the fuck is this guy writing a chapter on kinks when he hasn’t done a kinktober/vember/nuary?

And I say to you:

I don’t know I’m yeeting these words out as I type.

In a more serious answer, most of the smut fics that I write tend to center around a specific kink. Be it anal, tits, petplay, rough sex, marathon sex, etcetera etcetera. That’s really my only qualification.

And that’s good enough for me! (I think)

Please do note that these are not end all, be all takes. I could very well be entirely wrong on my thoughts about any of this, and that’s perfectly fine! This is simply how I begin my way of thinking up the fics that I do, and I’m sure everyone else has different ways of doing it.

So!

Before we get started, we gotta clear something up about kinks.

Because, what exactly is a kink?

It’s something that’s a little outside the norm (hell it can even be still in the norm) that adds to someone’s (usually yours) sexual experience. 

Like, I don’t need to write about fucking Yeji’s face, or giving Sakura some cat ears, or folding Anna like a lawnchair, but the thought is very appealing, not gonna lie.

It’s all sorts of things, from the dynamics (sub/dom, roleplay) the scenarios (public sex, risky sex, sex) the preferences (tittyfucks and blowjobs) or just a complete fixation on a singular thing.

And with that comes the question, why the fuck would you write a kink?

And I want to say because my brain begins to fire neurons at the speed of light because I see things that are like, holy shit—

Getting off track there, anywho. Most of my fics stem from the sole idea of:

“I want to fictionally plap idol’s kink”

Of course that’s not going to be one to one, but the idea’s there.

For example, my recent smuts have all kinda started because:

I want to fictionally plap Giselle’s ass.

I want to fictionally plap Chaeryeong as I pretend to be a pizza delivery man.

I want to fictionally plap Sakura while she’s recording us.

I want to breed Minju. (Fictionally)

That last one might have changed the idea, but still.

You write the kink because it turns you on, and you read the kink because it might turn you on. Or you could stumble upon it when you start reading.

Like, first time I read prael’s Sakura freeuse fic and I was surprised to see it have feet stuff, but I thought it was hot.

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

Now with all that in mind, I expand a little bit on the idea with the two questions of “Why?”

Why this idol? 

Why this kink? 

And I tend to land on a few answers, depending on the main reason why I came to the idea. It could be because the idol has me BFH’d as all hell and I need to write said idol, or I want to write a certain kink because my interest is piqued.

Or both. See Karina thighs.

Prior to writing anything related to the fic however, I do some research on the kink. 

What’s it all about? 

Why do people find this appealing? 

How would one go about doing it? 

These are just a few of the questions that I want answered for myself before I begin writing a fic. Sometimes things even change in my head as I go on and understand it a little bit more. The idol could change, the way I think up of a plot adjusts, the smut itself could be different once I start turning my thoughts into words because of how I begin incorporating the chosen idol.

Because the idol, to me, sort of needs to fit the kink. At least, I need some sort of headroom for the combo to work.

Most of the time—well, all of the time, the combos are good enough to work with. Winter blowjobs, Jealous sex with Asa, Pet play with Karina—they all sound very hot and would be a joy to write. And I believe any writer, given enough time, would knock these ideas out of the park.

But I am not a good enough writer to be making a fic out of something like, idk Xiaoting tiddyfuck.

These sort of combinations are a rarity, I think, as most cases I see lean more on the dynamic and the scenario unless a certain act is the main focal point of the fic. And, really, you can mix and match a lot of these kinks.

Facefucking Chaeyoung (fromis, but TWICE and STAYC also works) in a public bathroom? Sure.

Soft, fluffy lazy morning sex with gf!Chaehyun in a hotel room? Hell yeah.

Body marking brat Wonyoung everytime she cums? nice. 

But at the end of it, if the combo doesn’t tingle my brain in a way that tells me ‘I should write this’, then it gets sent to the ideas list for future me to look into again.

Because I need to let myself like the idea of writing the fic. The plot, the idol, the smut, I need to get into a good enough headspace to think that I can sit down and write it. Because if I don’t, then I’m just forcing myself to write it for varying reasons.

And this is just the kink part, the plot and characterization is a whole other ballpark you have to consider too when you build out your smut.
