“Oh! We got a couple here!” One of the servers spotted us.

“Happy couples day!” Another one suddenly popped.

“Happy couples day for the two of you!” Then another one. How many servers are there?

“You hear that, Hanwoo!?” Haewon happily holds my hand as we both stand.

“Y-yeah… really?” I was taken by surprise. I believe it’s the first time I've felt her hand; it’s nice.

“Since it’s couples day… we had free plushie!” The shop’s manager excitedly announced their promo.

Then a massive life-size bear plushie emerges from their back kitchen. How did a giant thing like that fit in their tiny back area? And more importantly… It’s so huge that it even needed two people to hold it.

“Really? Wow— oh God! It’s so cute!” Haewon is hopping with thrill.

They put the plushie beside her. Their sizes are quite similar, though the plushie is a bit taller than she is.

“Wow– kugh— sorry.” I had to stop myself from laughing. I never thought I’d see a plushie taller than an actual person.

“Hey! I heard that!” Haewon shouts at me; she’s mad. I forgot one of the most important things when she’s around: don’t ever mention anything about height.

I clearly didn’t say a thing about it, but she just felt it.

We realized that we had this connection; we can’t explain what it was, but there’s something.

“Huh? Sir, she’s mad.” We heard one of the servers.

“Umm, wait, are you really a couple?” The manager looks confused by our actions. Why in the first place did Haewon have to yell at me like that?

“Yes, we are. Why?” Haewon answered instantly, her other hand gripping the massive plushie’s arm. I think she’s worried it might be taken away from her.

“Then, prove it.” A server said, clasping her hand.

“Then can we request a kiss?” The manager happily requested.

All of the workers blushed, but not just them, Haewon and I as well.

“…”

“Hanwoo…”

“H-Haewon-ah.”

Her grip on my hand tightened, and the entire café was anticipating it.
