New Family Member - The East

Two months have passed since your wedding night with Siyeon and things have been slowly getting better. You two don’t hate each other anymore. Sure there is still bickering but it’s ok. Another thing that helps is that she is carrying your child but you do hope you get to love her more. 

“Are we almost there yet?”

“Siyeon. You should know how long it takes to get to the hall.”

“Yeah I know but I figured I would give you a headache.”

Laughter fills the car as you both just chuckle at her childish antics. A few more minutes pass as you arrive at the hall and park your vehicle. Walking towards the entrance you can see the location is already full of other werewolves of your pack. The other wolves bow in respect to the alphas as you finally enter. 

Seeing the hall full of laughter and smiles made you happy. Walking towards the front you could see the werewolf's elders standing in the front. Once an alpha steps down from their position they can become an elder which still holds massive power in a pack. If all elders vote on a matter against the alpha they can override their decision but that is very rarely done. 

Currently, there are 5 elders in this pack which consists of Siyeon’s parents and your own as well as your grandfather. 

“My dear grandson! It’s very good to see you. Siyeon, my new granddaughter. I hope you and my great-grandchild are good as well.” 

“Thank you, grandfather. Yes, I am doing well and the baby is well also.”

As you take a look at your parents the look of uneasiness is on their faces. 

“As much as I don’t mind the family reunions I’m still curious why the elders called this meeting.” 

“Um, why don’t you two sit down with the rest of the wolves and your grandfather will start the meeting.” 

All you can do is nod in agreement with what your mother said. Sitting down in the front row with your wife the stage is now given to the elders as they stand in front ready to speak. 

“My fellow werewolves. I am happy to see you all here for our meeting. I hope you are all in good health as well as your families.” 

Small yes’s fill the room as silence falls again. 

“I am glad you are all well but this meeting is not gonna be good news for you all. I was informed last night that we are one of the last remaining werewolves packs in the world. All packs outside of South Korea have fallen.” 

Gasps fill the room as everyone begins to murmur in panic. 

“Who’s left then?” A werewolf in the back yelled. 

“The east pack. Which is why we called you all here. Let’s welcome the east pack under our protection!.” 

As your father finished his sentence the doors opened as the east pack walked into the hall. Being respectful you and your wife stand up and walk up next to the elders. More and more werewolves fill the room as they sit down leaving three wolves standing at the entrance, the Yoo family. 

Eventually, they stand in front of you; the alphas of the east pack and their daughter, and bow before you and the elders. Having another set of alphas bow towards you and your family feels weird but you acknowledge their bow and help them up. 

“Young-Jae, Mirae, I’m glad to see your family and pack in good health.” 

“Thank you Daewon. I’m just gonna be frank that we need your pack’s protection. As you know the east pack has speed as our strongest trait but due to that we always ran from fights and never really trained.” 

“Due to this we the elders agreed to welcome the east pack under our protection with one condition, they must submit and join the pack.” 

“So the east pack will be joining our pack then?” 

“Correct Siyeon.” 

Looking towards the Yoo's, your eyes meet with their daughter, Jimin, or her nickname, Karina. Karina, unlike Siyeon, always got along with you growing up so much that you developed feelings for her. Yes, you had feelings for Karina but never acted on them. 

“Karina, it’s really good to see you.” 

“It’s really good to see you too, Oppa.”

Karina steps forward a bit ready to hug you until a growl is heard near you. Looking to the side, the sight of Siyeon protecting her territory from another female. Your father-in-law grabs Siyeon, calming her down. Despite the growls from your wife you still hug Karina, happy to see her. Once you let go of the hug on her, Karina walks toward Siyeon nervously and bows in respect. The look of annoyance is prominent on Siyeon’s face but she bows back and looks away. 

“Well, that went better than I thought. Now if the guards could please bring the ceremonial knives!” 

“Wait dad, why do we need ceremonial knives?”

As the knives are brought forward you see Karina and her father pick them up. 

“The transfer of alpha status will now begin!” 

You didn’t even have time to argue as both of them cut their palms and joined them together. 

“My daughter Karina. Do you promise to uphold the values I taught you and help lead the pack to greatness?” 

“I do father!” 

“Then you are now the alpha of the east pack.” 

The glow of red appears in Karina’s eyes. She’s now the alpha of her pack. 

“Daewon, why did you look uneasy that whole time?” 

“Siyeon do you not realize what this means?” 

“What? What am I missing?” 

“My dear daughter, I guess I need to remind you but I will also inform the packs.” 

As Mr.Lee walks forward all you can do is stand next to Siyeon ready to grab her for when she jumps. 

“My fellow werewolves. When a pack merger happens with a male werewolf and a female werewolf one thing must happen before. Marriage between the two wolves.” 

“YAH WHAT?” 

All you could do is hold on to Siyeon as she began to try to jump towards Karina. 

“Shhh sweetie calm down for a second and let me talk to them. I’m sure you being this angry isn’t good for our baby either.” 

The reminder of your future child calms down Your wife as she just looks down. Walking closer to the elders you get ready to talk to them. 

“I'm already married. I don’t want to do this.”
