“Captain, are we almost there yet?”
“Once we pass this forest road, we’ll be there!”
“Oh dang, so around … 4 km?”
“Exactly!”
“Man, I can’t wait to get there; the rain is killing me!”
“We’re getting there, guys! Bear with me!”
“Man, Captain, you’re always so positive about everything haha.”
“That’s why I’m your captain!”
In the rainy days, 3 explorers are on their way to an abandoned factory for explorations
Their names are Captain Kwon Eunbi and her two teammates’ Jens and Hwan.
The three of them are on the way for a prized exploration, one that can get them quite a paycheck.
They’ve been going to the place for the last 2 days, and they’re getting close to their destination: an abandoned factory.
“So, Captain, this place is a factory?”
“Yes, being built since the 40s.”
“Bro, didn’t you read the briefing??”
“I did, dude! Just wondering what sort of factory it is!”
“Steel factory! I knew this place a while ago but never thought one day we’d go here!”
“So Captain, I want to ask, where did you get this lead?”
“A person I knew of, his name is Dr. J! He asked me to collect an artifact there. I was suspicious at first, but he gave me some clear evidence about it. So I took the gig and called you two!”
“Dr. J? Lol, the Joker??? ”
“Haha, no, definitely not the Joker!”
“But why the hell did he have to hide his name?”
“I don’t know, but he paid us in advance a lot, soooooooooo I took the gig!”
“Damn, ok, next time if someone asks us to be James Bond, call us, ok, Captain? Haha.”
“I will lol.”
The three explorers find their ways through the tall grass, keep on chatting until they reach a metal fence, indicating the finish line of their journey
“Captain, I think we’re here!”
“Lemme see, yes, we’re here! I think it is unlocked!”
As the three open the metal fences, they encounter a large factory compound covered in grass and moss, with giant blast furnaces still visible to the naked eye, albeit rusty and quite demolished in some parts.
“Whoa, this place is larger than I thought!”
“Indeed, I did some research; they established this in the 40s, and over time, they expanded it more around the 50s and around the 70s. It used to be one of the biggest in Europe. They were abandoned due to malfunction and production cost. They did revive it for a while again during the 90s but then abandoned it again due to lack of interest. Some workers did try to restart it a while back too, but things never took off anywhere, so that’s some little history for you!”
“So Captain, what exactly are we going to look for again?”
“There’s a control room deep inside the factory, where we can find a box. Inside the box is something that even Dr. J couldn’t figure out, but due to his older age, he couldn’t go, so he hired us!”
“So we’re his new Nathan Drake, eh? haha.”
“Lol, I love that game.”
“Haha, you can say that!”
The three explorers walk through the pathway toward the interior of the factory, passing by the blast furnaces. They’re walking their way towards the interior of the factory, going on ladders and passing different stairs and levels of the site.
It didn’t take them long to reach the interior of the factory, as they opened the door to get inside to avoid the heavy rain.
“Okkkkk, we’re in! Everyone turn on your light and camera; we will record everything from now on. Stay close to each other, ok? If we separate, make sure to turn on com links!”
“Got it, Captain!”
The 3 explorers are walking deeper into the factory. The sounds of water leaking can be heard along with raindrops breaking the silence in the dark area, dropping onto the metal platforms. The scents of old steel and moss are quite unpleasant, combining with the darkness in each step, sending some chills to the explorers.
“Be careful, guys; be aware of where you step!”
“Oh sure, captain! Following you!”
“Jeez, I thought you were about to say be careful of ghosts, because this place looks haunted haha.”
“Lol, Hwan, you watched too many movies, bro.”
“Are you afraid of ghosts, Captain?”
“Are they even real lol?”
“Well, if there’s something strange in your neighborhood, who are you going to call?”
