“yah kim chaewon what was that about?” yena questioned as the younger girl continued to sulk on her bed. “and she still doesn’t want to admit that she has a crush on minju...” yena sighed, recalling how she had to chase after chaewon who had abruptly left the council room without even waiting for her.
it wasn’t hard for her to put two and two together. yena had caught chaewon stealing glances at the girl waaaay too many times, and it wasn’t everyday that chaewon was so soft spoken or easily flustered when talking to somebody. the duck knew firsthand just how loud and playful she could be. and of course, her reactions whenever yujin and minju interacted did nothing to support chaewon’s claim that she didn’t have a teeny tiny crush on the school flower.
yena knew it wasn’t yujin’s fault. the giant puppy was just extremely friendly and touchy with everyone. the two had become close ever since minju showed yujin the ropes when she joined the broadcasting club - introducing her to the other members and easing her into club activities. while yena didn’t know if the two were anything more than friends, she was definitely certain that both of them were oblivious to chaewon’s feelings for the school flower.
just as yujin had minju in the broadcasting club, she had yena in the track team. the duo had bonded over numerous training sessions, always racing every week to pick up wonyoung and chaewon from their council meetings. they were two peas in a pod, both enormous pranksters who were always rowdy and playful with each other.
