Saturday Morning
Yujin’s alarm blares, pulling her from a restless sleep. Groggily, she rubs her eyes with the heels of her hands, trying to shake off the fog of sleep. The room is dimly lit by the morning sun filtering through the curtains, casting soft shadows across the walls. As her vision clears, she notices the calendar on the wall directly in front of her. The date circled in bright red ink jolts her fully awake. Today was the day she’d be meeting Jin-woo, and a foreign wave of excitement mixed with nerves washes over her.
Taking a deep breath, Yujin swings her legs over the side of the bed and waddles softly to the bathroom. Her morning routine was a comforting ritual brushing her teeth, splashing cold water on her face, and running a comb through her tangled hair. Each step helped her fully awaken and focus on the day ahead. After a quick shower, she walks back into her room.
Feeling more awakened and energized, Yujin makes her way to her wardrobe, her mind fill with anticipation for the meet up. Standing in the middle of her walk-in-closet, She stares at the array of outfits hanging surrounding her, her fingers grazing over fabrics and colors. She contemplated each option: a sleek dress for a polished look, a casual yet stylish blouse and jeans for a relaxed vibe, or perhaps something more unique to make a memorable impression.
“What should I wear?” questions Yujin
“Jeans and t-shirt? No.”
“Sweater? Too hot. UGH why is this so hard? What should I do? Why is it taking me so long?” Yujin grabs her hair in frustration.
“This is just a hang out right? Should I go casual, or a bit fancier?” ponders Yujin “Ugh what am I doing? Why do I care about making an impression? Me Ahn Yujin wanting to make an impression for an idiot?”
After a few moments of thoughtful consideration, she still couldn’t make her decision. To be truthfully honest, she was a bit confused about why she was so excited about it. The memorizing blue eyes, sharp jaw line and not forgetting the hidden muscles…Yujin shivers and shakes her head trying to disperse the thoughts in her head. Looking back at her wardrobe she decided to wear a classic comfortable outfit.

“Not bad, and now a swimsuit. Why do I need a swimsuit?”
Walking out of her room to the living room, she sees the others chilling on the couch watching TV.
“Yaa that shibal-sekki, get out of here, no one likes you.” Screamed Rei
‘It seems like they’re watching love next door. I’ll watch it when I get back.” Thought Yujin
Gaeul noticed Yujin’s presence, staring at her, she stares at her from head to toe. She looked too dressed up for a rest day.
“Yujin-ah where are you going today? You don’t have anything schedule today?” asked Gaeul curiously
“I’m just going out to hang out with a friend. I’ll be back later tonight so don’t wait for me.” Said Yujin
“oohh who are you going out with? Minju-unnie? Youngji-unnie? Eunbi-unnie or is it Jin-woo-oppa?” asked Liz
Yujin blushes and quickly turns away and gets her shoes on before quickly leaving. All the IVE members look at one another and laugh.
“It is soo prince charming.” Giggles Wonyoung
10 mins later
Seoul
Walking through Seoul guided by her phone, she arrives at a narrow alleyway between a bookstore and a 7-eleven. Checking her phone again, Yujin enters the alleyway, her footsteps muffled by the cobblestone steps, until she stumbles upon the entrance of a quaint cafe she had never seen before, hidden and tucked away from the main road. Stepping inside, a cool breath of air splashes her with the aroma of freshly baked bread and brewed coffee. Her eyes wander around the empty café, staring at the walls filled with a mix of photographs: filled with stunning landscapes of America and Canada, and framed snapshots of celebrities alongside what appears to be the cafe’s owner. The atmosphere is serene, a stark contrast to the usual frenetic pace of her life. Yujin slides into a corner table; unmasking her face as she waits as a friendly waitress approaches.
“Welcome to Abditus Café, What can I get for you?” the waitress asks.
Yujin smiles softly and replies, “I’ll have an ice americano, please.”
“I’ll be back with your drink in 5 mins.” Replies the Waitress walking back to her station.
Now alone, Yujin glances at her phone and sees that it is just 10:55 a.m. She exhales slowly and surveys her surroundings. The cafe was empty, likely due to its hidden location, but it had a well-kept charm despite it not exactly seeming like it was new.
“How does he know of this place? Didn’t he just return to Korea after 8 years? Also why does the waitress seem familiar?” ponders Yujin tapping her chin with her finger as she stares at the waitress making her order.
Speaking of the devil, a door charm rings and in comes the man in thought, Jin-woo. Wearing a blue high collar shirt, with a black T-shirt and grey shorts wearing his signature glasses and a small dark green jaded cylinder necklace. Making eye contact with him, he walks over to her and takes a seat in front of her before giving the waitress and nod.
“Well Good morning.” He speaks in a go lucky tone
“Morning” replies Yujin unconsciously pushing back a strand of her hair behind her ear looking straight at Jin-woo
“You look great today, obviously not as much as me but great nonetheless.” Says Jin-woo
Rolling her eyes she replies “Wow thanks for the compliment. I’m so honored to be compliment by the most egotistic person in the world.”
“You're welcome! Any who, are you ready for today?” asks Jin-woo
“I don’t know. You never told me what we were doing.” replies Yujin
“Well, I hope you aren’t wearing any heels because that’ll be a pain.” Said Jin-woo
“Wait what? What do you mean?” questions Yujin
“Well look at that, the coffee here.” Says Jin-woo avoiding the question, grabbing the coffee from the waitress, he stands up from the table and walks straight for the door.
“Wait hold on, where are we going and how the hell do you get coffee without ordering???” screams Yujin rushing to grab her bag and standing up to follow him
Exiting the alley, Yujin rushes to follow Jin-woo who just exited the alley making a right onto the sidewalk. Reaching him, she gave him a small shuffle which she received a small giggle in response.
“How could you just leave me there.” Scolds Yujin flaring up at him
“You're just slow.”
Walking forward, Jin-woo stops near a black Mercedes Benz parked by the side of the road.
“Well, what are you waiting for, get in, you don’t want anyone to catch you in public with your mask.” says Jin-woo as he opens the passenger door for Yujin
Not realizing she is standing still in awe nor was she wearing her mask; she gets her sense back and quickly enters the vehicle mumbling a small thanks. Walking to the driver’s side, Jin-woo opens the door and enters the car. Putting on his seatbelt, he gets comfy and starts the car, about to drive he looks to his right and sees Yujin staring right at him. Confused, he asks,
“What are you looking at? Put your seatbelt on?”
“Where did you get this car? And do you even have a license?” asked Yujin
“Sigh, I just bought this car since I’d be staying here for a while, and I have an international drivers permit.” Replies Jin-woo like it was obvious
“Well, if you are going back then why not rent? And you still haven’t answered my question about the café.”
Being a bit impatient, Jin-woo leans over and gets her seatbelt and buckles her in.
“YA what are you doing?” Yelps Yujin as he was up close in front of her, she could feel his breath against her face.
“I’m getting you ready so we can drive. It’s not close you know.” Staring straight at her
“Well, excuse me, it’s not like I don’t know where you’re taking me.” Sass Yujin
Sitting back down, Jin-woo looked left and drove the car out the parking lot and down the road.
“I’m planning to give this car to Eunchae once she gets her license and that café belong to a close friend of mine, and I told them I was dropping by.” Answers Jin-woo
“Well, where are we going now?” said Yujin
“Hmm, it's a secret place that I found before I left Korea. Let’s say it’s a place where I found peace.” Replies Jin-woo
Raising her left brows, she stares at him. “Peace? Do we have the same definition of peace.” Questions Yujin
“Idk we shall see.” Answers Jin-woo with a shrug
Yujin nods her head and turns towards the window; her gaze fixed on the passing scene. A quiet hush enveloped the car. Jin-woo glances over, unable to resist studying her profile for a moment before returning his attention to the road.
2 hours later
After a long grueling car ride, they stop at a gas station in the middle of two mountains which had a 7-11 in it. Getting out of the car, they both stretch their arms and legs letting out a yawn. Feeling the blazing heat from the sun, Yujin covers her eyes from the sun as she stares at the clear blue sky before turning towards Jin-woo who didn’t seem like he bothered by the heat at all. Narrowing her eyes,
“How are you not hot, you’re wearing all black.”
“I’m used to the heat, just built different” replies Jin-woo earning a dead palm by Yujin
Putting the gas pump into his car, he notices a couple of SUVS pulling into the gas station, stopping near the air pump.
“Why don’t you go inside and buy something cold, I’ll pay for it.” Says Jin-woo glancing at Yujin.
“Hmm, how much longer do we have till the place.” Ask Yujin as she walks towards the station’s door.
“Only 20 mins and we’ll be there.” Replies Jin-woo
With Yujin inside the gas station, Jin-woo continues to pump gas into the car, minding his own business until it is filled. Putting it back, Jin-woo walks inside the station and pays for the gas and the bunch of ice cream that Yujin brought. Seeing the amount of ice cream,
“Are you trying to be fat?” Jin-woo comments
“Ya I am not gonna get fat, I work out and dance all day beside some are for you, you ungrateful bastard.” Retorted Yujin
“Ungrateful? I’m the one paying for it.” Remarks Jin-woo earning a tongue stick out from Yujin
“Whatever, I’m done, put some of the ice cream in the trunk, there’s a freezer there.”
“Why do you have a freezer in your trunk? Hey, aren’t you suppose to do it for me?” shouts Yujin, only to hear the door slam shut for a response.
“Aish , this bastard.” Mumbles Yujin
They exit the gas station, with the ice cream in the trunk and resume their journey. Yujin sinks into the passenger seat with her knees drawn towards her chest releasing a relieved sigh, the cold treat already cooling her down from the heat.
Jin-woo, now back behind the wheel, glance over at Yujin with a smirk. “You know, you could’ve saved yourself a lot of trouble if you just dressed a little cooler.”
Yujin shot him with a playful glare. “Dress cooler? I might as well not wear anything then! Besides, you’re the one who insisted on a road trip in the middle of summer.”
Jin-woo chuckles. “First of all, it's the end of August not the middle of summer and secondly, we’re almost there. Only 15 minutes to go.”
Yujin stretched her arms, pointing at him with her precious ice cream. “Well, it feels like it. You’re lucky I got all this ice cream. Otherwise, you’d be stuck listening to me complain about how hot it is.
“Yea, Yea I’m the luckiest guy in the world. Not only do I get to spend time with THE Ahn Yujin but also she is not complaining. WOW” exclaims Jin-woo with jazz hands to then receive a smack on the shoulders.
“Ahn Yujin this, Ahn Yujin that. Why is it always my last name? Do you get luckier saying it?” rants Yujin, swinging her ice cream around.
15 mins later
After 15 minutes, the car arrives at a quaint, old village surrounded by expansive plots of crops and mountains in the distance creating a scenic background straight from an artwork. Kids darting around, kicking a soccer ball, laughing and living their life, while seniors sit outside their homes, basking in the sun, chatting, and watching the children play. With the windows rolled down, Yujin rests her head on her hands against the door, gazing out the window, feeling a warm sensation across her face as she watches the lively scene.
“They look so cheerful.” Thought Yujin
The car jolts to a stop, pulling her from her reverie. Hearing the door open from the driver’s side, she opens her own and steps out.
Standing outside on the old road filled with cracks, Yujin looks at Jin-woo, silently asking what’s next. Noticing her confusion, he says,
“Follow me.”
Crossing the street and they arrive at one of the larger buildings, its entrance marked by a prominent sign: “Lee’s Orphanage and Day Care Center.”
“Jin-woo, why did we come all the way out here to visit an orphanage?” Yujin asks, staring at the large double wooden door in front of them.
“This is one of the two places I wanted to show you. This orphanage has been here for around 30 years,” Jin-woo explains.
“Thirty years? It’s been here that long?” Yujin responds, surprised.
“Yeah, unfortunately, women from neighboring villages and even cities who didn’t want their babies often bring them here, hoping they won’t be traced back. Some children have been left here as old as 2 or 3 because their parents suddenly decided they didn’t want to raise a child, wanting to live their life stress free. Although some are left here due to unfortunate circumstances such as death of parents. Additionally, this place serves as a daycare for local parents who drop off their kids here while they go to work.” Explains Jin-woo looking at the doors in front of him.
Hearing this dampens Yujin’s mood as a frown adorns her face. “Is it that bad?” she asks
“Yea, last time I was here, there was 30 children that was dropped here and a new one everyone other month. Now think how it’ll be for big cities like Seoul.” Says Jin-woo calmly with a hint of frustration in his voice.
“I don’t understand why they would ever leave their child. Sure there’s valid reasons but I wouldn’t be able to stand it.” questions Yujin in an upset tone.
“There’s many reasons, Yujin. Many.” Mumbles Jin-woo
After a moment of silence, Yujin looks up at Jin-woo and asks “Jin-woo, why did you bring me here.” Tone full of curiosity.
Jin-woo looks down at her with a small smile. “You’ll find out in a few hours,” he says, leading the way into the orphanage.
As Jin-woo opens the large doors, the sounds of children laughing and babies crying greets them. Peeking out from behind Jin-woo, Yujin is struck by the sight before her. The interior is a large, open space with a play area on the right, filled with toys and small slides. To the left is a staircase leading to the second floor, with a row of lockers underneath holding clothes and bags. Nearby are the doors to a washroom, a classroom, and a kitchen.
“Jin-woo-ah? Is that you?”, says sweet voice
Looking to the left, there was a senior chubby lady in a red crewneck sweater and pants wearing jade bracelets standing on the stairs looking straight at them. She was roughly 150 cm with shoulder length hair and glasses.
“It’s been a long time hasn’t it Mrs. Ahin, hope you didn’t miss me too much.” Said Jin-woo with a smile staring back right at her.
Coming down the stairs, Mrs. Ahin held both of his arms, rubbing it up and down, checking him thoroughly.
“It’s been a long, long time, I thought you’d forgotten little old me. You’ve changed so much, no longer the quiet kid you used to be. You’re so tall and handsome, you even dyed your hair.,” she said, her smile widening and eyes filled with warmth.
“How could I ever forget you? I’m sorry I couldn’t visit sooner; I was in the States until now. But here I am, with a friend too,” Jin-woo replies, introducing Yujin who is standing beside him.
“Oh, yes, I see that. You’ve brought a beautiful young lady with you,” Mrs. Ahin said with a warm smile, giving Yujin a warm look-up and down.
Bowing slightly, Yujin introduces herself. “Hello, my name is Ahn Yujin. It’s nice to meet you, Mrs. Ahin.”
“Welcome, Yujin dear. Please, call me Auntie. I hope Jin-woo hasn’t caused you too much trouble and is treating you well,” Mrs. Ahin said with a friendly smile.
“Ah Jin-woo has been treating me well so far though sometimes he can be very mean.” Whines Yujin in the end pouting her lips.
“Mean huh? Don’t worry dear, let this old lady teach this brat a lesson. I may be old, but I can still tussle.” Respond to Mrs. Ahin twisting Jin-woo’s arms.
“OWW Mrs. Ahin that hurts.” Yelps Jin-woo rubbing his arm trying to smooth it.
“I guess all these muscles are just for show.” Says Mrs. Ahin with suspicious glare
“Anyways, what brought you guys here?” Ask Mrs. Ahin
“Well, since I’ve just returned to Korea, I thought I’d visit you and help with the children and babies so you can take a break and spend the day with Mr. Lee. Speaking of which, where is he?” Jin-woo wonders.
“He’s currently getting ingredients from the local farm to prepare lunch for the children. Why don’t you both watch them while I help him with the groceries? You guys can get close to them and you both can teach them a thing or two. Once we return, we’ll all make lunch together,” Mrs. Ahin suggests.
“Of course! We’ll make sure all these brats behave, right Yujin?” Jin-woo said with a grin.
“Uh yes we will.” Answers Yujin kind of surprised and lost, trying to understand what he is aiming for.
“Good. Now before I leave, a few days ago, a baby was dropped by the doorstep. She just turned six months old. She’s currently sleeping in my office, so let me bring her down so you can keep an eye on her while I’m away,” Mrs. Ahin said, quickly walking back upstairs to her office.
“Jin-woo, what’s your goal? Taking care of the children? Why?” questions Yujin, only to receive nothing but a smile in response.
Walking back down, Mrs. Ahin appears carrying a baby sucking on a pacifier and wearing a cute shark onesie. Bouncing the baby gently up and down, she stopped in front of them, causing the baby to turn towards the two, staring at them with curiosity.
The baby has a puff of white hair and the same baby-blue eyes as Jin-woo. Yujin can’t help but stare in awe at the infant, her skepticism melting away seeing the baby in front of her.
“Oh my god, she’s so cute. Jin-woo, Look she has the same eyes as you,” cooed Yujin as she walked closer to the baby, offering her index finger, which the baby grabbed with her small hands.
While Yujin was fussing over the baby, Jin-woo stood silently, his sunglasses concealing the emotions in his eyes. Removing his glasses, he looked directly at the baby with the same blue eyes.
“What’s up, baby? Are you trying to copy me or what?” Jin-woo asked with a grin.
The baby stares back with her arms stretched towards Jin-woo, he picks her up from the back of her collar, holding her head level in front of him. They stare at each other, eye to eye.
“Ya, watch how you hold her!” says Yujin she tries to take the baby from Jin-woo. “Whats her name?” questions Yujin as Jin-woo hands her over, and Yujin begins bouncing the baby up and down, fully immerse in playing with her. The baby giggles and flails her tiny arms around, delight by Yujin’s attention.
“Who’s a cute baby? You are. Yes, you are!” plays Yujin causing her to giggle more. Yujin for some odd reason couldn’t keep her eyes away from her. It’s as if she became someone else entirely.
“Her name is Kyuji. It was requested by her biological parents in the letter that came with her,” explained Mrs. Ahin.
“Kyuji, Kyuji-ya pretty name, pretty baby.” coes Yujin bringing her face closer to Kyuji
“Kyuji. What an interesting name for an interesting child,” said Jin-woo.
“Indeed. Now, make sure to take care of her and the other children. I’ll be back in an hour, and no funny business. Kids, be sure to behave! Jin-woo and Yujin are here to look after you while I’m gone,” Mrs. Ahin instructed before leaving the orphanage.
Left alone with the children, Jin-woo and Yujin are quickly surrounded by a crowd of roughly 12 kids, ranging from 1 to 8 years old—7 girls and 5 boys—all staring up at them with wide eyes. Jin-woo took the lead, introducing himself.
“Hello, kids! My name is Hong Jin-woo, and this lovely lady is Ahn Yujin. We’ll be taking care of you for the next few hours. Who’s ready to have some fun?” Jin-woo shouted, eliciting cheers from the children and goggle noise from Kyuji as she claps her hands.
In the following hours, Jin-woo ran around playing tag with the boys, while Yujin spent time making bracelets and brushing the girls’ hair, chatting about their favorite things with Kyujin sitting on her lap holding a plushy in her hand. They are all playing tag together, with Jin-woo making scary faces and causing the kids to scream with delight. Occasionally, Jin-woo would lift a child into the air, making them laugh loudly as they soar up and down. Putting Kyuji in one of the baby beds in the room, Yujin joins in the fun, laughing and screaming as she chase or be chase by the tagger. As Yujin dashes around with the children, her laughter mingling with theirs, she felt a rush of nostalgia and joy. Yujin couldn’t help but feel alive again, feeling the same sensation when she was a kid without any responsibilities. It was as if the burdens of adulthood melted away, and she was once again a child, carefree and full of wonder. Each burst of laughter and every squeal of excitement brought a sense of pure, untainted happiness, reminding her of the simple joys of childhood she had long forgotten. During one game, Jin-woo, now ‘it,’ chases Yujin around the play area until he tackles her and starts tickling her.
“Everyone, Yujin is ticklish! Come tickle her to death!” Jin-woo announced, grinning.
“Yaa, stop, stop! Ha ha ha!” Yujin laughs uncontrollably as the children surround her and tickle her.
Unbeknownst to them, Mrs. Ahin and Mr. Lee returned and went straight to the kitchen to prepare lunch. When they brought out the food and set up the plates, Jin-woo rallies the children.
“Okay, minions, time for lunch! Line up quietly,” he commands.
“Yes, Hyung/Oppa!” the children cheered in response.
As everyone settles down to eat, Jin-woo, Yujin, Kyuji, Mr. Lee, and Mrs. Ahin sit together, sharing a meal while chatting and watching the kids enjoy their lunch. Kyuji is once again sitting on Yujin’s lap as she feeds her some mashed bananas and sweet potatoes.
“Ohhh, open up, agi-ah, here comes the airplane,” says Yujin as she flies the spoonful of mashed bananas and sweet potatoes towards Kyuji’s mouth. Kyuji opens up, takes the food into her mouth, and swallows it, leaving a bit of food smeared around her lips.
“Jin-woo, what are you planning to do while you're in Korea?” asks Mr. Lee.
“Well, I have some business to take care of, but other than that, I’ll be chilling with friends and family,” replies Jin-woo.
“Hm, how is your family?” asks Mrs. Ahin.
“They’re well. Eunchae is all grown up but still acts like a child, and Mom is as she always is.” says Jin-woo.
“Waiiiiii.” Cries Kyuji grabbing the attention of the others causing them to laugh as she is flailing her arms around with food around her mouth.
“Shush Agi, keep eating your sweet potatoes.” Says Yujin as she strokes her white puffy hair quickly quieting her.
“And your dad?” questions Mr. Lee.
“Same old man as always,” replied Jin-woo in a monotone, causing a dip in the mood. Mrs. Ahin and Mr. Lee couldn’t help but frown. Yujin notices this but decides to keep her thoughts to herself, not wanting to make things worse.
“Anyway, Yujin, how’s the food? Is it good?” asked Mrs. Ahin.
“Yes, it’s very, very good! It’s better than what I make or the takeout that the girls and I bring to the dorms. I really miss home-cooked food,” Yujin said with a smile.
“Oh, thank you for the compliment. If you’d like, we have extras that you can take home, also I have some recipes that you can take with you.” offers Mrs. Ahin.
“Oh, no, it’s okay. I don’t want to be a bother, and those are your secret family.” replies Yujin, waving her hands in front of her.
“Oh, hush dear, it’s no bother. You’ve become one of my children the moment Jin-woo brought you here. So, take as much as you like, and besides I always wanted to pass down the recipes to someone. Just make sure to come over as much as you can.” said Mrs. Ahin
“Well, thank you very much, Auntie. I’ll make sure to come by and help out whenever I’m free,” Yujin said, bowing. Seeing her bow the Kyuji tries to copy her causing food to fall from her mouth causing Yujin to tsk tsk before wiping her mouth.
“No problem,” said Mrs. Ahin with a warm smile.
“Ah, Yujin, I didn’t ask before—why do you live in a dorm? Are you still a student?” questions Mr. Lee.
“No, I’m a K-pop idol with the group IVE,” Yujin answers trying to get Kyuji is sit still.
“Oh, a singer! That’s amazing! You’re beautiful, smart, and you can sing. You’re literally the complete package,” said Mrs. Ahin, with Mr. Lee nodding in agreement.
“Oh ani, I’m not that great,” Yujin said humbly.
“Oh please, she’s in one of the most popular groups in the world and travels globally to perform. She just got back from a world tour.” Jin-woo said, earning a pinch from Yujin.
“Haha, I’ll make sure to listen to your group! Maybe I’ll even plaster these walls with your posters,” laughed Mr. Lee.
Yujin couldn’t help but feel a bit embarrassed and quickly tries to finish her food.
“Why don’t you perform a song or two for the kids? I’m sure they’d love to hear your voice,” suggests Mrs. Ahin.
“Hey kids, do you want to hear Miss Yujin sing for you?” shouts Jin-woo.
“YES!” the kids scream in unison.
After lunch and putting all the dishes away. The kids all sit on the ground with their legs cross staring at Yujin who is sitting on a chair in front of them with a mic attached to a speaker. Yujin takes a deep breath and adjusts the microphone, she glances at the eager faces of the children and the supportive smiles of Jin-woo, who is carrying Kyuji, Mrs. Ahin, and Mr. Lee. The anticipation in the room was palpable.
“Ok kids, the song I’m going to sing is called ‘lips’ from my group IVE, Ready?" Yujin asks, her voice warm and inviting. The kids responded with a chorus of enthusiastic nods and shouts.
As the music begins, Yujin shakes her whole body, and in an instant, her expression and aura transform into that of Ahn Yujin, the captivating singer and leader of IVE. The energy in the room shifts as she embodies her role with confidence and charisma.
Lights out, restless night
It has been like this countless times
No doubt I know you lie
Love is always difficult
Don’t hesitate, what do you think? Being honest is good
I can see your clear mind
Lights out, 잠 못 드는 밤
No doubt, I know you lie
달콤한 그 말이 (my lips don't lie)
너를 본 그 순간 (my lips don't lie)
“You better not mess this up.” Whispers Mr. Lee
“Whatever do you mean?” asks Jin-woo with a curious stare
“I’ll kill you if you do.” Mrs. Ahin whispers it to his ear
Jin-woo couldn’t help but scrunch his face in confusion before returning to a smile focusing her attention to Yujin enjoying her time singing.
(Uh-Ohhh) On me, on me, on me, baby
(Uh-Ohhh) I’ll be, I’ll be, I’ll be honest
(Uh-Ohhh) Got me, got me, got me like woo
(Uh-Ohh-Oh)
Okay,

I love it, yeah
Jin-woo stares at Yujin, seeing her smiling and having a good time singing to the kids who were dancing along to the song. Seeing her walk around them, dancing here and there causes a smile to creep onto his face seeing a shimmer of glow around her.

“Thank you everybody, now if you like the song make sure to follow IVE.” Says Yujin ending it with a bow
A Loud round of applause filled the building and surprising from outside as it seems that the music was loud enough to attract the attention of the seniors and children from the street. They all walked in clapping their hands. Yujin couldn’t help but blush being showered with applause.
“Who wants to hear Yujin sing again!” screamed Jin-woo with a smirk
“ME” “ME” “ME” “ME” “ME”
“Yujin-ah sing some more!” shouts Jin-woo
Staring at him, a thought came to Yujin’s mind. Forming a smirk on her face, she stares at Jin-woo who shivers.
“Who wants to listen to Jin-woo Sing!” screams Yujin through the mic
“ME” “ME” “ME” “ME” “ME”
“What???” exclaims Jin-woo before being pushed forward by Mrs. Ahin. Jin-woo looked back, with a face of betrayal, to see Mrs. Ahin smile and give a wave. Having no choice, he went to the front with Yujin who looked at him with a smirk. Handing Kyuji to Yujin, Jin-woo grabs the microphone and starts choosing the music, Jin-woo press plays causing the music to start.
“You guys ready?” asked Jin-woo
“YESS”
“I said are you READY??” screamed Jin-woo
“YESSS”
“LETS GO OPPA/HYUNG” screamed the Children
“Let’s go Jin-woo!” screamed Miss Ahin
내 안 깊은 곳의 a priori
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria
Euphoria
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria
Euphoria
Close the door now
When I’m with you I’m in utopia
Won’t you please stay in dreams
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria
Euphoria
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my euphoria
“WOOOHOOO” screams the kids and the neighbors from down the street who was attracted to the music.
Mrs. Ahin chuckles, her eyes twinkling with delight, while Mr. Lee sways slightly, tapping his foot to the beat. Yujin, standing alongside Miss Ah-in and Mr. Lee, watches Jin-woo lead the children in their playful dance; Yujin could see the joy radiating from the little ones, especially the one in her arm. Kyuji is constantly trying to reach out towards Jin-woo. She couldn’t help but fall victim to the atmosphere as she also starts waving along to the music and clapping her hands.

“Thank you everyone!” Said Jin-woo with a bow, before walking towards the adults
“Didn’t know you could sing like that.” Jokes Yujin
“Well, the more you know. I am a man with many skills.” Smirks Jin-woo, scratching Kyuji’s chubby cheeks.
“Kid, you sound amazing. You should come over and perform for the kids more often. Who knows maybe one of them will become an Idol like Yujin.” Said Mr. Lee
“Encore!!! With Yujin this time!” screams Mrs. Ahin towards the children surprising Jin-woo and Yujin
“Encore with Unnie/Noona!” Screams the Children in return
Looking at Yujin, he receives a nod so ‘reluctantly’ he gets back to the phone, connects to the speaker and searches through the many songs available. Looking through he lands on one, with a small frown, which he quickly hides with a smile. Though it didn’t go unnoticed.
“Sigh let’s get this over with.” Said Jin-woo
“Ready to get embarrassed? Even though you sounded okay, but now you got a professional over here so don’t be surprised if you get overshadowed.” Says Yujin as she walks towards Jin-woo after giving
“Oh please.” Said Jin-woo rolling his eyes
(Without you – G Dragon ft Rose) [Jin-woo Yujin Together]
Love is painful, all the love is painful (Uh)
That's what I always do (Such a pain)
But pain is beautiful (Yeah), it's same as you
(Woo)
Fallin' without you
(Hey)
Fallin' without you
Yeah, fallin' without you, hey
Uh, let's go
For you, my baby
(Hey)
(For you, my baby)

Jin-woo and Yujin end the song and smile at the many children and seniors that were able to make them smile. Putting down the mics, they walk back to Mrs. Ahin and Mr. Lee, one with a smile but one with a small frown.
“Damn, you guys sounded perfect together, especially you Yujin! Jin-woo, you could do better” said Mr. Lee
“Thank you, Mr. Lee,” said Yujin with a wide smile
“Yea, Thanks gramps.” Said Jin-woo full of sarcasm with a straight smile
Mrs. Ahin couldn’t help but frown looking at Jin-woo, which catches Jin-Woo’s attention.
“I’m fine” said Jin-woo with a soft pat and rub on her back.
“You sure? You know that song is sung by—” “Yea I’m fine auntie.” Interrupts Jin-woo
Confused with what they were talking about, Yujin looks at Jin-woo looking for answers. Which Jin-woo ignores.
“Anyway, it’s time for us to go. There's a place that I want to take Yujin to.” Said Jin-woo looking at the clock on the wall.
“Is it that place?” Questions Mrs. Ahin to which Jin-woo nods
“Alright Kids, it’s time for Yujin and I to go.” Said Jin-woo to which the kids whine, and some tried to hug their legs preventing them from leaving. Yujin couldn’t help but have a wide smile seeing these kids wanting them to stay.
“Maybe I’ll come back soon.” Thought Yujin
“Don’t worry kids, I come whenever I am free, okay? I’ll bring a bunch of toys and snacks! Maybe I’ll bring more friends with me.” Announce Jin-woo causing them to scream in happiness.
Kyuji, in Mrs. Ahin's arms, keeps reaching for them trying to grab on to Yujin. Rubbing her head, Yujin moves her head closer.
“oh Kyuji-ah, I’ll come back and we’ll have so much fun okay? I promise.” Whispers Yujin in a cute voice to Kyuji though Kyuji starts to cry.
“WAIII WAIII” cries Kyuji
“Oh baby, don’t cry, come on, come to Yujin.” Says Yujin as she grabs her from Mrs. Ahin and carries Kyuji a bit, which she stops to cry and cuddle into her.
“Yea, I’m definitely coming back soon.” Thought Yujin
“It seems she doesn’t want you to leave.” Comments Mrs. Ahin
“Yea.” Says Yujin bouncing Kyuji softly
“It’s a sign that you should come here more often.” Said Mr. Lee
“Or maybe you can take her.” Suggest Mrs. Ahin with a tint of hope and mischievous
“I wish, but my schedule is always packed so it is hard to and I already live with 5 other kids, besides the company wouldn’t allow it.” Says Yujin in a sad tone, seeing Kyujin sleep in comfort against her chest.
“Jin-woo?” says Mrs. Ahin, giving him a certain stare.
“Don’t look at me, my life is a bit too chaotic, besides I’m not sure if I’m staying in Korea or not.” Answers Jin-woo
“Well, maybe it could be a future decision.” Said Mr. Lee with a smile
“Yea, well you both should leave before she wakes up again.” Says Mrs. Ahin as Yujin hands her the sleeping Kyuji.
“Wait, Why don’t we all take a picture first before you leave.” Says Mr. Lee
“Oh good idea. Come on, quick. One with all of us, another with us five and lastly the 3 of you.” Said Mrs. Ahin, motioning everyone to quickly stand outside and pose in front of the orphanage.
Standing in the middle was Jin-woo and Yujin with Kyuji being held by Yujin between the two, flanked by Mr. Lee and Mrs. Ahin. Around them were the children smiling at the camera held by one of the adults in the town.
Next was Yujin, Jin-woo, Kyuji, Mr. Lee and Mrs. Ahin.
Finally it was just Jin-woo, Yujin and Kyuji's turn.
“Use this camera.” Yujin says she grabs a polaroid camera from her bag.
“Do you always carry that with you?” asks Jin-woo holding Kyuji in his arms.
“Of course, Everywhere you go is a chance to make a memory. Oh, perfect Kyuji’s awake.” Says Yujin, seeing Kyuji slowly opening her blue eyes. Jin-woo returns Kyuji to Yujin as they get ready to pose for the camera.
“Now on the count of 3 say cheese.” Says Mrs. Ahin as she holds the camera against her face
“3”

Taking the photo, Mrs. Ahin hands the photo over to Yujin which she receives with one of her hand.
“Alright, we should go.” Said Jin-woo, causing Yujin to reluctantly hand Kyuji back to Mrs. Ahin not before kissing Kyuji on the forehead
“Don’t worry Aegi, I’ll be back.” Yujin said before separating.
“Bye, we’ll be back soon” they both said to everyone
Turning around, Jin-woo and Yujin both walk forward and exit the building back to the old road.
“Now where are you taking me.” Questions Yujin looking up and down the road.
“Someplace peaceful and beautiful. Follow me.”
