Dahyun stretched her body on her bed as she woke up that morning. Chaeyoung’s alarm started beeping wildly again and she hated that it could be heard from across their apartment.
Then again, their rooms were divided by a thin wall, and they didn’t have a lot of money to move into some place better.
Dahyun dragged her body up from the bed and trudged towards the wall and banged it loudly with her fist. “Wake up, motherfucker.”
“Fuck off, Dubs!”
“Then turn off your fucking alarm!”
She could hear Chaeyoung slap the alarm clock repeatedly and a loud groan followed after. Dahyun decided to start her day, maybe she could head to work already to clean up. She placed her hair in a bun and went to the kitchen.
“We’re out of cereal,” Dahyun called out when she opened the container and stared at the small amount left. When she looked up, she saw Chaeyoung rubbing her eyes and walking towards their bathroom, she immediately looked away when she saw the obvious morning wood that was tenting Chaeyoung's sweat pants. “Dude, you’re fucking gross.”
“I met with the girl again and I wasn’t able to finish,” Chaeyoung grumbled as she opened the door.
“You weren’t able to finish?”
“Her boyfriend came home early.” Chaeyoung slammed the door closed after.
Dahyun sighed. “You gotta stop involving yourself with women who are already taken,” she said out loud as she fixed their breakfast.
Chaeyoung swung the door open and glared at her. “Gee, I should have thought of that before I fucked her. But I only found out right after we started doing it.” Then she slammed the door shut again.
That made her sigh. “I’m just looking out for you, bro.” Dahyun’s voice softened.
“I know.” Chaeyoung sighed as well, turning on the shower.
Dahyun knew that out of everyone in their group, it was just her and Chaeyoung that were pretty unlucky when it came to love and relationships.
Chaeyoung kept getting herself involved with women that were the epitome of red flags and couldn’t seem to be interested in looking for a healthy and normal relationship.
Dahyun, on the other hand, was too shy to ask a woman out. Always stumbling on her words and ended up being overpowered by their personality.
They were both hopeless. But Jeongyeon and Tzuyu seemed to have faith in them. Even if they were the ones who were lucky enough to get girlfriends. They still tried to support them by trying to hook them up with people they knew or blind dates. But all of those attempts failed.
However, if Dahyun was being honest with herself, she was okay on her own. Sure, the only thing she came close to a vagina was her pocket pussy that seemed abused to the point the silicon wasn’t smooth anymore. But anything else, she felt like she could manage.
She opened her own co-working space just recently and it had been doing well, not enough to help them rent out a new apartment but it helped them get by every day. She wanted to believe that it was the one thing that could help her forget about her sad predicament.
Chaeyoung worked too many hours in her job that barely gave her enough time to breath, but her tenure helped by giving her a big bonus so she was able to help Dahyun set up the new project.
With the help of their friends, Dahyun had been pretty set with her new job, though she still had to work in her previous job to really keep them afloat.
After breakfast, Chaeyoung waved her goodbye and went off to work, Dahyun washed up and got ready for her day. She could probably grab something warm to eat along the way to the shop.
Once she reached her work, she saw Jihyo, Jeongyeon’s new girlfriend, already outside waiting, laptop in hand and a big smile on her face.
“Why are you so early?” she asked, curious.
Jihyo shrugged playfully and kept her smile up. “I woke up early. Couldn’t go back to sleep.”
Dahyun raised a brow as she unlocked the doors and let her new friend inside. “Is that your way of saying that Jeongyeon woke you up to have mind-blowing morning sex?”
Jihyo paused but she looked back and winked at her. “Yes.”
Dahyun chuckled at that. Once they were inside, she quickly switched on the lights to the space and immediately powered up the air conditioning, rushing over to her station to boot up the routers.
Jihyo beelined to her usual spot near the pantry and then set up her laptop. “It’s gonna be quiet today,” she said as she sat down on her seat.
“Yeah, Wednesdays are pretty slow.” Dahyun hummed, bringing out the refills for the pantry. Ground coffee, sugar packets and creamer on the table and organize them. “You don’t have class today?”
“I do, but around the afternoon. So I’m here to work on my final paper,” Jihyo replied, already typing something on her laptop.
Dahyun raised her brow in amazement. “I am impressed that you can teach college students while studying for your second master’s degree. I barely survived during college.”
Jihyo couldn’t help but laugh at that, smiling at the subtle compliment. “This was something I’ve always wanted to do. Plus, I know I can get a better job out there if I graduate and get that degree.”
“As if your first three weren’t enough.”
She raised a brow. “You’re starting to sound like Chaeyoung.”
Dahyun gasped in fake offense. “I hope you take that back, Park Jihyo. I just gave you and Jeongyeon my blessing.”
“You still love me anyway,” Jihyo teased and Dahyun couldn’t help but smile at her usual playfulness.
At least the day started out alright. Given that she was still worried about Chaeyoung’s predicament on sleeping with unfaithful girlfriends. But other than that, she was hopeful the day was gonna turn out alright.
As expected, there really weren’t any people that morning. Maybe a few students from a school nearby but they left as soon as it hit lunch time.
Jihyo already plugged her earphones in when a couple of people were inside and Dahyun decided to log in to her second job so she could start her day.
The lack of people made it easy for Dahyun to check on everything. The space had no one in the conference rooms and there were only two other people occupying the tables in the common area.
The only time she looked away from her computer was when people logged-in and asked for the Wi-Fi password. She probably needed to hire more help once the space earned more income. So for now, she had to do this on her own.
She heard the door open and already closed the window on the spreadsheet she was editing, but the loud sounds of high heels were reverberating inside the space. It made Jihyo look up.
When Dahyun raised her head to see the approaching person, she felt her throat tie into a knot when she noticed how beautiful this woman was. Her hair was flowing behind her back, cute button nose, long slender body and her eyes were round with a gorgeous color of dark brown.
Dahyun felt the color in her body flush away when the woman walked closer to her counter.
“Hi, what are your rates for the conference rooms?”
Jesus Christ, even her voice was gorgeous. Dahyun couldn’t help but raise her brows and started to stutter as she looked for the brochures she asked Jeongyeon to print out.
Jihyo took notice, she immediately stood up from her seat and walked behind Dahyun to grab the brochure. “Here, we have two so far, but that really depends on how many people you’re planning to bring,” she said with a big smile.
Dahyun looked up at Jihyo and kind of thanked her for being so quick to help her out. This woman was too beautiful for her to function.
