How I Am Shrining For Summer '26

    Chapter List

Okay, so after getting all of the info-dumping out of the way, and after multiple questions about I’m utilising the summer shrine to build my collection, I’m making this chapter.

It’s going to be a little less structured and a little more ramble-y, but hopefully, this shows you how I approach opening the shrine and getting my favourites.

I am going to showcase a lot of shrine techniques here that does carry some risk. There are always safer, slower ways to do things, which I will address; however, I am looking to collect as many cards as possible, so I do some high-risk and high-cost strategies to speed up my acquisition.

My approach is a rather bullish method that burns cards for the sake of speed, and is not, therefore, a card-efficient approach. I take some high-risk shrines for immediate results, and sometimes I have to try a common Love shrine twice, and I lose a card. However, by utilising the trade system to get cards you want to upgrade, or being more patient and utilising more Power shrines, you can take a slower but more cost-effective approach.

Personally, I am targeting the Summer limited pocas that I want first, because the lower-tier cards are easier to get further down the line. Okay, so let’s start with getting a card that we want to upgrade into the Summer limited version.

    Getting on the right path

For this, you want to make use of the Fame and Love shrines and the bonuses attached to them.

So my target for this example is Kaede from TripleS. Since Kaede does not have an epic card, her highest base card is rare. So we need to first make a Rare TripleS card. We need to ensure we are starting at the target card’s highest possible base rating, to save time and resources. It much more effect to use health, fame and love to get to a good starting point, than to beauty a card from common.

By using the ‘same group’ bonus, I can acquire a rare TripleS with fairly high odds.

(This had a 92% success rate, as all the commons were from the same group.)

Now, of course, not everyone has 4 cards from the same group sitting around, but when you do, you need to make use of it. In the above, I have entered enough commons to create a rare, and because they are from the same group, I receive a +7% bonus, making this a 90% shrine.

Of course, sometimes you cannot defeat the shrine and it’s wicked ways, you may lose a card, and that’s just the way it goes. I lost a Gawon epic this morning myself…

Now, if you already have an epic/rare card, you can get better odds on making them into a card you want by utilising a common/uncommon from the same group.

In this case, by sacrificing an uncommon alongside my epic, into the fame shrine, I am able to benefit from the ‘same group’ bonus to be more likely get into the right group.

Anyway, back to Kaede, now that we have a card in the correct group, at the correct tier, we can use this in the Love shrine to with for Kaede.

It is important to get a card from the same group as your target card and at the correct rarity before Love shrining, as this will boost the odds of success from close to 60% to close to 80%.

Look, it’s still risky, I know, and maybe starting with some higher quality cards would reduce the risk a little, but if we want our faves from the shrine… this is the life we have chosen. By Love shrining for Kaede, using a card from her group, we’re getting a +15% bonus. Now, you could, theoretically use a small power here to boost the odds, but I like to live on the edge.

Ok I failed. It happens. I never said that there wouldn’t be setbacks, but you can skip this risk by using the Trading page.

Well, the shrine taketh, and the shrine giveth. Wishing for another TripleS rare card via the Fame shrine, and sometimes, you can hit the right card right out of the Fame:

    Nice.

But Prael, this is a hell of a lot of risk to just get started…

Trading. if we’re going to play the long game here and not live by the sword like I am, it is much safer to try trade with other users for the correct card, or wait until you get a drop you want to upgrade… or, post a wish, maybe some kind soul will help you out.

Anyway, this is how do it, because I love a good gamble, and speed.

    Upgrading

    Next goal: Q10

Now, if you’re at the rare level, you have favourable beauty odds:

So it is a good idea to utilise the beauty shrine here, as over time your card should increase and reach Q10. However, I believe my time to be more valuable than my cards, so I will typically switch from Beauty to Success once a rare card hits Q8 as a Rare.

If I am working on an epic, with 50/50 odds, I feel there is far too much randomness and I will switch to Success once I have been able to hit Q6 or higher through beauty. This feels like an efficient point for me, to make use of the “free” upgrades from beauty, without runnig the risk of forever being trapped bouncing up and down without hitting Q10.

For this example, I am just going to use Success right off the bat with Kaede, to hit Q10.

I do not recommend the above for a rare card. I am only doing this for fun for the guide.

So after you have beautied, and we have our Q10, it’s time to upgrade.

    Please Use Power Shrines

Okay, lets take a look at our power option. I press the power shrine and it will highlight all the possible boosts I have on hand.

Okay, so no good options, what now? Well, the sensible thing to do it wait. Sit on your Q10 cards, ready to upgrade. Work on more q10 cards while you wait for the Power shrine demands to change, and eventually one of your cards will show up in there.

I would probably recommend the above, but as you can tell, I love a little risk. Let’s use what we’ve already learned:

This is currently a power card option for me. We’re going to target getting a 70% or 100% empowerment.

First up, we roll the dice for a Red Velvet card. Note, here, I am not using the two cards from the same group buff, as this would make the card an uncommon, but we want common Seulgi. However, I am only risking a single common, so I like to take the chance here. I am prepared to risk this card.

Okay, so I got Joy 101, nice, we’re in the right group.

    Now we can use Love…

Aaaaaand, I got really unlucky… I hit the wrong Seulgi common, meaning I only get a 40% boost from this one.

The above is exactly why I don’t recommend taking this high risk approach and waiting for something more guaranteed will always benefit you. Patience is a virtue.

In the case where you do get the right card here, you can take the 70% boost, or utilise the success shrine to make the perfect power card. (I recommend this when trying to beauty a Q10 Ethereal, due to the low % rates)

But, just to prove I’m not entirely insane:

It can work very well if you’re trying to get cards as quick as possible because you have a lot to collect like I do. Also: note that if you’re dealing with high rarity cards like Ethereal, where the base upgrade rate is only 30%, you may wish to chase a 100% empowerment.

And if so, using the success shrine to correct the Q value of a 70% empowerment into a 100% empowerment, is an option:

It is an expensive use of cards, but I was able to guarantee that I got the Asa Ethereal, which to me, is worth it.

Anyway, back to Kaede. I took a risk on the 40% empower and I got kicked back to Q1. So I showed some patience (it is now an hour later), the Power demands changed, and I was able to get hold of a 100% power via trading.

    Therefore:

So I spent around, 2 hours, 9 shrine charges, using 18 common cards and 1 uncommon card to create a cosmic Kaede from scratch. I have completed upgrade quicker and cheaper than this using the above method with a little luck. There’s also a chance it could take a little more.

By using more patience or even trading, you could easily work on this over a longer period of time and halve the card spend.

    How Do I Use Nests?

Nests have one key feature for me: Upgrading a Q10 card to the higher tier. In order to make the best use of this, personally, I am following two rules:

Nothing below Epic. (Exception for idols with no Epic)

    Only Q6.

Since Nesting takes one entire day give you a single point increase in Q, I fully believe that anything below the maximum number you can nest is a waste. It takes a single common to raise the Q value the same as an entire day.

Time is the limiting factor of the Nest. You need to minimise the time your cards spend in the nest, in order to maximise the outcome.

Personally, as the rates for upgrading anything below an epic favour an upgrade, I will not use the nest to upgrade those, as beauty is the best option. Nesting is useful to give a guaranteed upgrade to those cards with a low chance of upgrading, therefore it becomes much stronger as you put higher tier cards into it.

This is my current nest lineup:

Each card was entered at Q6, which guarantees that it will take 5 days for the card to become the next tier.

If a card is entered at Q1, it will take ten days to reach the next tier.

When each of the above cards that have further upgrades (Gaeul, Stella, Lily, etc.) successfully increas into the nest tier, I will withdraw them from the treehouse, use 5 commons to succes to Q6 and re-nest them. Those five commons save me 5 days of waiting.
