What we know about Fall '26 so far
Hi Fanprosers! I'll just kickstart our Town Hall feature today.
As the season reaches its near mid-point, here is what we know so far about the upcoming Fall '26 season from the devs:
1. Auctions will not come back! It turns out that everyone hated them.
2. The Treehouse proposal and voting system will be changed to be more intuitive and fair. We're expecting your Treehouse level to play a role here.
3. New tiers called Mythical and Divine has been found in some places of the site. Rumor has it that Divine is a card that cannot be obtained through the Beauty shrine, but will not be as rare as Celestials. Mythical is supposedly a 'set' card, which can only be obtained by completing a set of requirements.
4. There are some talks of duo cards not being obtained through shrines anymore, and instead be closely tied to nesting.
5. Author cards, or cards related to characters from stories instead of idols, have been in the works for a long time, but may not make it in Fall due to unsolvable balance issues (unnatural boosting of certain stories that have author drops, etc).
That's all we know for now regarding the new season!

I appreciate you sharing your learnings from the past 2 minting seasons. One small rec: After minting but before all the cards are discovered, it would be nice to be able to see the full set of minted pocas from every treehouse without needing to be a member.
@indexingtruth I like the surprise factor, ngl. Of not knowing what a treehouse your not in is hiding

@mysonesecret Yes! I still remember the shock on my face when I saw that beautiful Cosmic TripleS Yooyeon. Made her my biggest chase of the season, and was so happy when I got it. Dont think it would've hit the same when if I had the ability to see every poca from every treehouse, cuz I know I wouldn't be able to resist and take a sneak peek.
Interesting ideas.Thank you for the transparency! It looks like a lot of fun ideas are being thought of. I am not sure making duo cards only obtainable through nesting is a great idea as some houses chose not to have duos for various reasons and I don’t think giving more incentives to tree house swap is a great idea. As a multistan I like collecting various cards and feel like it would compel me to abandon treehouses I don’t want to leave just to get a duo. I think the current solution of making them less likely to drop from beautification is good enough to deal with this issue? Another way to solve this issue if we still think this is an issue is make it less likely to get a duo if you already have a duo. This would let ppl choose treehouses based off which groups they stan rather than for mechanical reasons. Please keep us updated on what will be the mechanic for the author cards. On a first glance, the issues you have already identified make me highly skeptical this is a good idea. Not only does it unnaturally boost a story (which you have identified) it can also be a very unpleasant experience for the reader as any reward system that incentivizes people to read a specific story or author for a specific drop is not going to be a good experience as people generally do not want to read the same stories over and over again to have something drop. Turning reading a story into the equivalent of grinding an MMO dungeon for rare drops is not a great experience. Also ppl may not want to read particular stories for other reasons. How these cards are rewarded to authors will also need to be carefully considered. Only other piece of feedback is it would be ideal if you could let us know what the Mythic and Divine system will be like before we go through Poca selection and the harvest. If these aren’t going to be obtainable through the shrine or there is no “guaranteed” way of getting them through persistent effort, I think folks would like the option of choosing not to mint those cards as many treehouses took this position for the celestials given most ppl did not want to mint cards that people in the treehouse would unlikely get. Apologies for the giant paragraphs, but wanted to make sure you got the feedback from at least one random user.
@Conrad888 The only reason I left the Red Velvet treehouse is so I can nest IVE cards. I’m lucky to have a friends who is in Itzy and offered to nest cards for me. I just hate it that you start with the idol you want but can end up with 2 other idols you might not want. (Case with Anna and Yeji for me). I farmed so many cards just to make sure I get the ones I want it felled like a chore. At least now I have a complete collection but that wasn’t my intention. Now with the chance of getting a duo card being 25% is better but I still don’t trust it. Also want to know more about how cards are obtained. I don’t like cards you barley get. Don’t find any fun in them. Also if author cards are distributed, is it like they can make a poca of a certain idol or is it from the author themself. Also on another treats I saw someone ask about the challange pocas. For me I always wanted to start writing and this was a good incentive to try writing so it was a shame you stopped giving those cards without a warning. And I know writing for a poca is wrong but it still feels like a reward. Maybe it would be fun to have an event accessible by everyone where you can get an one of a kind poca.
@Frostbytewin I don't think the one of a kind challenge pocas are completely off the table going forward, but it is just difficult now that all pocas are user-generatered and voted on. It would need a new system in place for that if it was ever to return!
@Guardian of Fire I think it would be great if the once who participated in that said event can choose a picture they like. And then they vote, the most liked one gets chosen.
@Frostbytewin Something like that would make perfect sense I think, good idea! Not sure where this falls on the dev's priority list but I'm sure they will get to it, I would love to see them return.
@Frostbytewin event cards are tough because the site cannot generate photocards of its own, only users can. so the question becomes: who gets to mint event cards? how do we determine which events get photocards and which don’t?
@Guardian of Love Isn't that only verifyed users can make an challenges? I think we can also implement some set rules for an challenge before it's eligible for a special poca. I can see it as where people will abuse this systeem to just farm certain pocas, and that shouldn't be the focus. For me it's also that when I joined the challenge it's said we will get an event poca out of it. But at the end nobody got anything and we didn't hear a reason for it. So that just felt a bit unfair.

@Guardian of Love Yeji birthday challenge. Also think this was the first challenge the One of a kind pocas stopped. Not that I expect a change. But I started writing because I always wanted to try it and I was a nice incentive. In the end I spend over 15 hours on a 1k story😭. Really underestimated how long it takes…
@Frostbytewin ah i think this was a misunderstanding… i dont see anything on this challenge about it having a poca reward at all o.o
@Guardian of Love Then it changed, I'm quit certain it stated that the host said they will look into the event poca. Since the thing that was the thing that pushed me over the edge to just start writing. But it's not that I want one now it finished long ago and I already made peace with it
@Frostbytewin My understanding is that some were planning to have pocas attached but then the decision was made for all pocas to go to being user generated and this was no longer possible, so it may have changed after you signed up.
@Guardian of Fire At that time I judt didn’t know what happened. Its fine I just hope there will be possibility’s to earn OOAK pocas in the future. That’s what I wanted to say with my reply

i personally think auctions werent that bad in theory but did result in a lot of wasted points so i get that super excited about changes to proposals. i always thought it was kind of tricky deciding between a lot of pictures first i’ve heard of the mythical card but that sounds interesting, would be cool to get a full group card or something like that for completing “themed sets” which some houses already have. for the divine cards, all i can really hope is that they are obtainable in a fair way. you can make an argument that the fortune shrine and tier skipping died for the sins of how celestials are obtained and those systems would have been fine had they not existed. assuming the nesting mechanic gets changes for regular users, i still don’t really agree with the change, while some houses will probably make less duos next season due to how this one went tying them to only nesting seems a bit restrictive. as an example if i want to get both chaewon duos without RNG, then i need to nest two pairs (CW/YJ and CW/SK). my suggestion would be allowing you to choose between the duo or solo before you make your upgrade attempt. if there are multiple solos you can keep the randomness there. also as conrad mentions, i don’t really like incentivizing moving treehouses, or at the very least the current systems seem to discourage it and this would go the other direction.
Is it possible to get a hint as to when the “patch notes” for the upcoming minting season might drop, so that people could start preparing already?
@MrGoldie last time they just came out the instant the season started, so expect that if nothing else, i guess
@MrGoldie Patch notes will always come out with the actual patch; no users receive the updates ahead of time including beta testers and moderators.
That would make duos only obtainable for fan+ and members of said treehouse.
@YoRHa Only if the nesting mechanics remain unchanged into next season, although the second part might be true.

@ACESA_Lover me neither. When new pocas drop, it feels like a kid walking into a big candy shop for the first time, ahah. So many shiny new pocas to collect, hehe.
