Chapter 14

Yeji’s POV

The members and I came back from practice and it was already 10pm. I looked at my phone and it was my selfie with Y/N oppa backstage in Singapore. I smiled but at the same time wondered how he was doing. Before I could do something, Lia came over to me.

“Thinking of him again?” Lia asked

“Yeah. I.. just wonder how his check up went,” I answered, sighing.

“If you are worried. Give a call first? He may answer. After all, it’s not good to think too much without taking action? Hehe,” Lia giggled.

I nodded my head and went to the kitchen to give Y/N oppa a call. I waited a while and he picked up.

“Oppa?” I said.

“Oh hey Yeji. How is everything so far?” He asked me.

I explained to him that everything was ok and I asked how his medical appointment went. He kept silent and I became worried. 

“Oppa. Please don’t hide it from me. Be honest with me?” I pleaded over the phone.

“Alright. The specialist suspected that I may have Parkinson's disease. Please don’t worry. I am gonna see the specialist next week,” Y/N said to me in a reassuring voice.

Hearing him say that made me feel worried. I told him that if I had free time, I would fly to Singapore to see him. When I said that, Y/N oppa started chuckling which made me ask him what was so funny. 

“You sound so cute when you say that,” he said. 

“T-thanks.. Oppa…” I replied to him, feeling a little shy. 

“You're welcome. I’ll come to Korea after my appointment. You don’t have to worry about me. I promise I’ll give you a call daily, ok?” He said.

“Ok oppa! Please be careful ok!” I said.

Y/N oppa understood as we hung the call and I took a drink of water. I tried to smile as I walked past my members who gave me the smirk. 

“Ok oppa! Please be careful ok!” Yuna spoke in a funny manner.

“Yeah… you must have missed Y/N oppa a lot,” Ryujin said, winking at me. 

I sighed as all the four girls came to me and hugged me. Chaeryeong then asked me how Y/N oppa’s check up went. I explained to the girls what Y/N oppa told me and they all showed me the worried faces. Yuna then asked me if I had plans to fly to Singapore to visit Y/N oppa. I shook my head, telling her Y/N oppa planned to come to Korea.

“Wait. Really?” Lia asked.

I nodded my head and the girls gave an excited look. I chuckled as Yuna linked arms with me, walking me into the room as the others followed us in. 

Authour’s POV

A week went by. Y/N did not seem to encounter Jane while Yeji headed back to her hometown to see her family. It was Tuesday and Y/N went to visit the specialist after taking a blood test. Once his waiting number was called, he entered the consultation room.

Y/N’s POV

“Hi doctor James,” I said. 

“Hello Y/N. Please take a seat,” he said.

I nodded my head, taking a seat. The specialist told me that my blood test results were good and I was healthy. I tried to smile, knowing that my tests were good but what Dr James asked me to do surprised me. 

“So Y/N. I’d like you to hold this stress ball and squeeze it with your left hand,” He said. 

I felt reluctant but decided to hold it anyway. I took the ball from him and tried to squeeze it with my left hand. My left hand was shaking and I dropped the ball after holding it for less than five seconds. I sighed as Dr James told me that everything would be fine. I looked at him as he wrote a report and reminded me again not to do any aggressive sports. 

“Understand Dr James,” I sighed.

“Good. I would suggest you take some meds. I’ll see you again in four weeks. You may take the stress ball home,” He said.

I nodded my head, leaving the consultation room quietly. I quietly went to pay for the consultation and picked up the medication. Once I was done, Aetri showed up and asked how the appointment went. I shrugged my shoulders as we left the hospital.
