“ Hey Takeru.”
“Oh hey Momo, how’s everything?”
“I'm … a bit broke.“
“You? Broke? That’s odd? What happened?”
“I spent too much on stocks and lost a lot. Sigh .. should’ve been more careful.”
“Yikes. Even your savings?"
“Yes … sadly. Oh well, lesson learned, now I need to earn some sort of income to pay my debts.”
“How much do you own?"
“1.500.000 yen.”
“That’s a lot dude.“
“Yeh .. I know ..”
“You wanna catch up? Wanna talk more about it?"
“Sure. Just get to my place and I'll explain everything “
Takeru then drives his car to Momo’s apartment.
The place seems a bit messier than usual.
“Yo. I'm here Momo.”
“Come on in, sorry things look messy, been a bit … yeh, you already knew.”
“Yep. That’s why I bring food, you like jokbal right?"
“Nice!! Welp I need something to relieve myself anyway.”
The two then dive quickly to their food and cheering with some beers, while turning on some musics.
“Cheerrrrrssss!!! To relieve all the stupid stresses!!!!!"
“Cheerrrrrssss!!!! To have more moneyyyyuu!!!!”
“Hey turn on some musics Takeru! I wanna get my mood up!"
“Hell yes Momo!!"
This must’ve been the most upbeat moment in the week for Momo since that stock lost. She dances while drinking their beers without caring about the noises, and Takeru just let her have her fun.
“Whew! That was fun!!! Man you won’t believe how depressing it was this entire week.”
“I can tell. That’s why I come by!”
“Arigatou my dude! But yeh, still have that money problem to solve…” Momo’s mood suddenly turns off as she throws the beer can to the ground.
“Gomen, couldn’t help you much on that. I'm pretty much low on cash now too. Jobs didn’t pay me well”
“Guess we’re both dirt poor.”
“Yeh. Life sucks.”
“Anything comes to your mind how to get more money?"
“Lottery? Man that thing is all luck, and my luck is shit.”
“Me too ..”
The two keep silent for a moment. Suddenly, an idea forms in Takeru’s mind, an idea that even him would think it’s either too smart or too stupid to try.
“Hey Momo, I actually have an idea? Wanna hear?"
“Go ahead. If anything gets me out of this dump I'm in.”
“You know that movie Tokyo Drift we used to watch?"
“Yeh, that was fun. What about it?"
“I was thinking … you wanna go street racing?"
“Nani? How-you mean like an arcade street racing?"
“No, actual street racing.”
“Isn’t that thing illegal? Kinda like shady ghetto sort of stuffs?"
“But hear me out. I … happen to know an upcoming racing event, they have huge price, I just remembered about it.”
“How come you know about it?"
