“She’s here again,” The bartender subtly informed Sana while she was waiting for the drinks that one table ordered.
Sana froze for a bit. Quickly scanning her outfit and quietly groaning to herself when she realized that they had to wear themed costumes that night. So she had to face Tzuyu in a skimpy version of a safari tour guide.
At least the shorts were cute.
Without failure, Miyeon, the other waitress that Sana quickly made friends with, arrived at the bar to gently took away the tray from Sana’s arms and winked at her. “I’ll be taking this from you since your favorite customer is here.”
She tried to hide the blush on her face. “Shut up.” Favorite might be the wrong word for her, but god she hated how she was somewhat excited to see Tzuyu again for the fourth time this month. “Does Sunny know?”
“She’s already talking it up with your tall drink right over there,” Miyeon playfully said while pointing behind her.
Sana turned around and sure enough, Sunny really was talking to Tzuyu by the entrance of the club. It seemed that Sunny knew how to interact with the tall woman, since she had never really seen Tzuyu entertain anyone else but Sana.
“Fourth time this month,” Miyeon said, leaning herself towards Sana, then raised a brow at her. “I swear that woman must be in love with you. Or you’re just good at what you’re doing.”
Her face was redder than earlier, knowing very well what her workmate was implying. Before she could respond, she locked eyes with Sunny and the older one raised a brow at her, eyeing her from head to toe. Sana took it as a signal to change and rushed towards the back rooms.
Which was good, because she was not going to spend her time with Tzuyu while wearing an army green colored bikini top underneath a tacky cargo vest. Or stay longer with Miyeon to try to explain whatever is happening between her and the gang member.
It somewhat bothered her that Sunny was okay with all of this. That she would just let Tzuyu book her for private sessions and not bat an eye about it. As if the pin she was wearing served no purpose anymore. Though, Sunny still made the effort to avoid her getting booked by other patrons. She deeply appreciated it.
Though the only exception was Tzuyu, and it definitely bothered her. However, it still ate her conscience when she was still willing to be taken away by the tall gang member.
So far, their sessions hadn’t been like the first one. Tzuyu was polite enough to tell her that she didn’t have to dance for her. Though, the Taiwanese made it clear it wasn’t because she didn’t like it. In fact, she hasn’t told Sana the real reason as to why she still booked her.
This being her fourth time privately seeing Tzuyu, she was starting to wonder when this person would break and finally request for something more than what she had been asking for.
The first night, they had that awkward introduction, a few questions and that embarrassing spat with each other. Then next thing she knew, she was shamelessly grinding herself on the gang member’s crotch.
The second time she came to the bar was the night of Mina’s accident. Tzuyu was surprisingly too shy to talk to Sana, avoiding eye contact as much as possible. Sana being shocked to see her was definitely an understatement. But Sunny immediately rushed the Japanese woman to change into something even more provocative; dark colors with more lace and more skin to show.
Once Sana entered the Scarlet Room, she tried to play her persona from that night but Tzuyu, with an obvious flushed expression, was quick to tell her that she didn’t need a dance from her. Trying her best to explain that she just wanted to talk to Sana more about the interactions so far with Chaeyoung and Mina.
Something along the lines of, making sure that Chaeyoung wasn’t doing anything weird or that Mina wasn’t too spooked by their leader being around her. Which of course confused Sana even more, since Tzuyu didn’t have anything good to say about her best friend the first time they met.
They ended up talking all night until Sunny had to ring the private bell to remind Sana that her shift was almost done. She was hoping that Tzuyu would show a little bit of disappointment that their time was cut off so short. But she was so stoic, her expressions couldn’t be read and was quick to let Sana go. But the gang member didn’t leave the club without paying the price for her time, including the very first session they had. Sana refused it at first but Sunny and Tzuyu were insistent on her taking it.
It was a lot of money for a mediocre lap dance and three hours of just talking non-stop about her work, her boss and about Mina.
The third time was just days ago. But it was pretty quick. Tzuyu handed her a gift bag full of cosmetics, saying that this was Chaeyoung’s gift to her for making her coffee twice already.
Sana was shocked to receive it since they were mostly designer brands. Thinking that either Chaeyoung had taste, or she probably asked Jeongyeon to do the shopping for her. But she loved it either way. Of course she didn’t want to accept it since it felt too much just for coffee. But Tzuyu, just like the first time, was insistent that she accept it.
Before she took her leave, Sana did the unthinkable and asked Tzuyu if she wanted to stay longer. Tzuyu was hesitant, taking her time to think but for some reason, she agreed to it.
It was weird for Sana because Tzuyu was the one doing all the talking that night. They were both comfortable on the couch, with Sana’s legs on top of Tzuyu’s lap and they were playfully touching each other's hands while Sana decided to bombard Tzuyu with personal questions.
She didn’t think Tzuyu would agree with it, but she did. She learned a lot about the tall gang member and it was refreshing to know a little bit more about her frequent guest.
But it didn’t last long and Sunny had to cut their time short again. To her surprise, Tzuyu did show a bit of disappointment and it made Sana’s day. At least she felt wanted by this person.
When Tzuyu left, Sunny handed her another envelope of cash, informing her that Tzuyu knew that she wouldn’t say no if Sunny was the one who handed it to her. God, she felt bad about taking the money.
She wondered if tonight was going to be the same.
Sana left the changing room, quietly making her way to the Scarlet Room but she stopped when she spotted a short woman standing by the entrance. She was blonde, decked in the same type of suit like Dahyun and Chaeyoung, but minus the necktie. Guess it really was just Tzuyu who liked wearing vests.
She was surrounded by tall burly men in the Dong Sok attire, they were standing guard like there was a celebrity in the building. The short woman turned around and saw Sana, she placed a hand on her chest then bowed, quickly smiling at her.
That must be a formal greeting from the Dong Sok. This was the third time she had seen a gang member do this.
“Good evening, Miss Sana. I am Yeh Shuhua, a member of the Dong Sok.” She introduced herself after bowing, then held the doorknob to the room. “Tzu—” She caught herself in her words. “Lieutenant Chou asked me to tell you that she’ll be in a short meeting with Ong and Sunny before she meets with you.”
“Oh,” Sana breathed out as she clasped the black robe hugging her body. She felt somewhat exposed and desperate to enter the room already. “She could always reschedule if she’s busy?” she tried to say nonchalantly. It wasn't like she was going to be disappointed if Tzuyu rescheduled.
She believed.
The short member shook her head. “Lieutenant Chou insists that you wait for her.” She finally held the door open for both of them.
Sana took in a deep breath and walked in the room quickly, feeling relieved to pry away from eyes that were possibly staring at her in that hallway with the Dong Sok.
She beelined to her usual spot on the sofas and watched Shuhua enter and close the door after but didn't lock it. The gang member sat at a good distance from Sana on the sofa as well and fixed her attire.
“So—” Shuhua started, a big smile plastered on her face. “If you don’t mind me asking, but I’m dying to know.” She shuffled in her seat. “How do you find Tzuyu?”
Sana’s eyes went wide, not expecting this kind of question again. The first time, Chaeyoung was the one who asked it and Sana wasn’t sure how to answer it since the one asking was Tzuyu’s boss and she didn’t want to get her in trouble if Sana stumbled on her words.
Though she didn’t fail to notice how Shuhua used Tzuyu’s first name instead of her formal title now that they were all alone. She pursed her lips and her eyes darted from Shuhua’s face to anywhere else she could look at in the room. “Is this a trick question?”
Shuhua stifled a laugh, covering her mouth with her hand in the most lady-like way possible. “No, of course it isn’t. I’m one of her close friends in the Dong Sok. We're both from Taiwan,” she said with a smile. “So I’m asking this as her friend.”
“Oh,” She breathed out again. It sounded like she was lying and that didn't really settle with her well, thinking that this was a trap in making Sana spill something she shouldn’t. Then again, what was there to tell? Asides from their intense session weeks ago. “Well, she seems nice now.”
A smirk formed on the blonde’s mouth. “So she wasn’t before?”
Sana was caught off guard again. “N-no, I mean—” She took another breath. “I mean, she was really serious the first time we met, and I understood why because she was just doing her job.” She looked down at her hands and played with the hem of her robe. “I just hope she feels more comfortable with me now.”
The gang member let out a hum, leaning her elbow on her knee once she crossed her legs together. “If I may, Miss Sana—“ she rested her chin on her hand. “Are you single right now?”
Her face turned red. “Isn’t… that a little too personal?”
The blonde waved her hand. “You’re right. That is personal, my apologies.” But she shrugged. “I guess I’m just… curious.”
This person was dangerously playful. Maybe Sana should humor her for a bit. Just a bit. What could go wrong?
“Well, I am single.” Sana let herself get carried away by this person. “I haven’t been in a relationship since college.”
“Are you looking for one now?”
