You meet someone you recognize far away from home
The sorrow in your heart is still awfully upsetting. Alas, it's just a month and a half after the incident.
In January, you expected this to be another trip for your travel resume. By April, unfortunately, this trip was becoming a soul-searching journey after the worst breakup you've ever been through.
Tokyo is great for this retreat, at least — Tower Records, Harajuku, and now, Odaiba Beach at sunset on the penultimate day of your vacation. You trudge around the sand, taking photos of the locals and other tourists. The somewhat small camera bag doesn't hamper your movements much, and to be honest, you feel better with it hanging off your shoulder. The weather is a little chilly in mid-May, and the clothes you're wearing are helping with that pretty well.
The view is nothing short of heavenly — the purple and orange streaks painted across the Tokyo sky, the soft clashes of the Pacific Ocean's water and golden sand, the people enjoying their moments. You breathe in the clean air, welcoming it into your lungs and cleansing all the dust you've been breathing in back home. Everything feels perfect for a heart-mending vacation, and that makes you look forward to the future, to be honest.
Suddenly, you're struck with another sight.
You haven't been in the K-pop field for too long. It's probably just over a year since you found the appeal for it. Your knowledge regarding idols isn't too deep. It's enough for you to recognize the woman standing not too far from you, at least.
Vivi appears to be in a sweater of a color you're too star-struck to properly identify. She's holding a camera, looking through the viewfinder, taking photos of the Rainbow Bridge under this gorgeous sunset. And maybe you've been staring for a little too long, but the models of her camera and yours appear to be the same — speaking of destiny.
In reality, Vivi is one of the members of Loona that you've been taking a minuscule interest in. You follow Loossemble less than Artms, to be clear. Regardless, the fact doesn't stop you from choking on your words as you try to think of something to say to her — the greeting, the camera, the lives you've been living. It's difficult, but you also realize the idea that you just have to seize this moment — talking to her and everything you can do within a brief timeframe.
Vivi's words halt those thoughts, however.
"Hey, cute camera."
