Undercover Day 1

Pusan National University was — beautifully simple, to say the least, Shou thought. It was... scenic, an aesthetic he has become pretty familiar with after going through all the college/uni dramas Anna had her watch for "research purposes." The dramas were good, but he preferred the more... eccentric ideas that Japanese shows had.

Anna on the other hand, was lost in the melodrama, half the time she was just swooning over the love story. And half the time Shou was just looking at her, thinking about how pretty she looks.

Damn, he's beginning to act like Shin — minus the cool sword skills — but the Shin that knows how he feels but can't say it. Although everybody can see that he has feelings for Ruka — wait, if everybody can see that Shin has feelings for Ruka, and he's beginning to act a lot like him when it comes to this... aspect of life — then does everybody else know how he feels about Anna? The thought made him spiral and occupied his mind so much that he jumped in surprise when Anna's hand brushed his.

"Woah, someone's nervous," Anna chuckled as they walked slowly towards a white building the brochure said they should go to first.

Shouichi chuckled anxiously, "Yeah. Nervous. Right."

"It's gonna be fine, Shou-kun. It would be fun, I hope," Anna gave him another pretty smile that threatened to make him crash into another spiral of unnecessary thoughts – not that Anna's unnecessary.

"Yeah. Just... it's been a while since I've been in a school. I thought the next time I'll go to one is to pursue some kind of graduate studies. Didn't know it would be undercover to uncover some plot, conspiracy, whatever the Yamata no-Orochi wants in this campus."

"You have a degree?"

"IT," Shou nodded.

"Explains why you're good at technology. Why did you enlist though?"

Shou shrugged, "because getting accepted was easy."

Anna's chuckle carried over the wind and entered Shou's ear smoothly, making him smile despite himself.

"That's... one way to put it."

"I don't like being in corporate interviews, makes me sweat even through the tux," Shou continued, "I don't have that much confidence facing people. I also don't know how to start some kind of business on my own. But I was pretty athletic, so I thought it would be easier to enter the army."

"That actually makes sense," Anna giggled.

"How about you, Tanaka-san?"

Anna pouted and Shou's heart skipped a beat thinking that he did something wrong.

"I told you to just call me by my name," Anna pursed her lips while looking adorably pretty at Shou.

"I'm... it's..." Shou stuttered while looking at the concrete road. He was glad Shin said that comms are off while they're undercover, otherwise Takeru-san will be teasing him like it's the end of the world.

Anna gave another soft giggle, "it's fine, Shou-kun, I've grown fond of your... awkwardness."

If Anna thought that would calm Kagami Shouichi down — she was gravely mistaken. Shou's ears grew red and he swore he can hear it ring and steam.

"As for college," Anna turned around, whipping her hair back and giving Shou a whiff of her perfume. "I was a fashion major."

"Fashion? Like, making clothes and modelling and all that stuff?"

Anna turned around again to meet Shou's gaze. "Yep," she replied cheerfully

"It suits you."
