Present day, the morning after the chance meeting: Y/Ns apartment.
Y/Ns POV
My mind was awake before my body was.
Slightly before my alarm, like clockwork.
I sat up grabbing his hoodie from last night.
Last night was fun.
I swear I can still smell her on this he thought absently brushing his sleeve.
Alright, let’s start the day.
I just got the coffee started when I heard a knock at the door.
I shuffled over, still waking up and unlocking the door.
“Took you long enough…”
“Your timing is perfect, as usual.”
“What can I say, I'm special.”
“That you are.”
Emi was tall for a Japanese woman, around 168cm. She had a slender build, slight elegant curves and a face that belonged on magazine covers. She was objectively beautiful, and already dressed to kill any boardroom she walked into.
She had a knee length pencil skirt on with a white button up blouse tucked into it. Hair in a serious bun and her tablet already slung over her shoulder.
“Someone has to manage you artsy types or nothing would get done.” Emi said, pushing past you.
“Make yourself at home.” I smiled.
“I will,” she said, kicking off her heels.
“Are you going to be a gentleman and give me the room?”
“Of course, nothing but the best for my partner in crime.”
“I have to figure out if I want to follow you into staying long term or not. I don’t want to buy a place just yet.”
“Oh come on, like you can leave me all alone.”
“Alone? Right…” she said looking at the obviously used kitchen from last night.
Normally I would’ve had something ready.
I didn’t.
She caught it immediately.
She’s sharp, too sharp.
“Just some old friends I ran into after the interview.”
“Mmhmm.” She hummed.
“JYP knows we are a package deal. They already know you’ll be here today. I’m sure they’ll get you your own unit if you want.”
“And miss witnessing whatever that is?” She pointed again towards the kitchen.
“Yeah, no way.”
She eyed me expectantly, I had nothing.
“Really?” she said, glancing at the kitchen again.
“…Twice?”
She looked back at me, one brow raised.
“You’re slipping.”
I opened my mouth—nothing came out. She smiled slightly. Yeah. She knew.
“Go get ready so you can finally show me where my best friend disappeared after undergrad.”
She got up and started towards the kitchen.
“I started coffee, help yourself.” I said walking towards the bathroom.
A few minutes later I came out showered and changed.
She took over the kitchen.
Food ready, coffee poured.
Like she’s been here for years.
“It’s your first day and you’re going with that?” She asked, sliding a plate of breakfast on the table.
“I was going to throw on a blazer.” I said, grabbing the food and digging in.
“At least give me a week to make a good impression before the jeans and hoodie come out.”
She rolled her eyes.
