    Summary:

When her boyfriend comes down with a high fever, Sana expects a quiet day of rest and soup. Instead, she gets a clingy, dramatic, and impossibly cute patient who refuses to let her leave his side — even if it means tagging along to TWICE practice with special permission from JYP. A fluffy, funny day of love, cuddles, and mild chaos.

    ---

The thermometer beeped for the third time that morning. I groaned and pulled the blanket higher over my head, but Sana was faster. She gently tugged it down, her cool hand pressing against my burning forehead.

“Still 39.2,” she said softly, worry creasing her brow. “You’re really burning up, jagi. I told you not to go out in the rain last week.”

I peeked out from under the covers, giving her my best pitiful look. “Don’t leave me. Stay and cuddle. Please?”

Sana sighed, but her lips twitched like she was fighting a smile. She was already dressed for practice — comfortable sweats, hair tied back in a ponytail, that effortless beauty that made my heart skip even when I felt like death. “I have rehearsal in two hours. The girls are waiting. I can’t just skip.”

I huffed, turning my face into the pillow like a sulky child. “Then I’ll be lonely and sad and probably die from missing you. Is that what you want?”

She laughed, the sound light and warm, and climbed onto the bed beside me. “You’re so dramatic when you’re sick. Fine. Let me call manager oppa and see if I can bring you along. But only if you promise to behave.”

I nodded quickly, grabbing her hand and pulling her down so I could wrap my arms around her. She yelped but melted into the hug, her body fitting perfectly against mine. Even with a fever, having Sana close was the best medicine.

Thirty minutes later, we were in the company van. I was bundled up in layers, a mask on, and leaning heavily against Sana’s shoulder. The manager had agreed after a quick call — something about “limited exceptions for family emergencies” and a promise to keep it low-key. The other members were already at the practice room, so it was just us and the driver.

“You’re really going to make me bring my sick boyfriend to rehearsal?” Sana teased, stroking my hair. “The girls are going to laugh at me forever.”

I nuzzled closer, voice muffled against her sweater. “They love me. Especially Nayeon unnie. She said I’m the cutest member of the family.”

Sana snorted. “She says that because you bring her snacks. Traitor.”

    ---

The practice room was loud when we arrived. Music thumped through the speakers as the members ran through choreography. The moment we walked in, everything stopped. Nayeon spotted me first and broke into a grin.

“Look who’s here! Sick boy! Sana, you really brought him?”

Sana sighed dramatically but kept her arm around my waist. “He refused to stay home unless I stayed with him. Fever makes him extra clingy.”

I waved weakly at the group, clinging to Sana’s side. “Sorry for interrupting. I just… need her.”

Momo laughed, wiping sweat from her forehead. “He’s so cute when he’s sick. Like a giant baby.”

Jeongyeon nodded. “A very tall, very spoiled baby.”

Sana helped me sit against the wall on a pile of mats, handing me a water bottle and a blanket from her bag. “Stay here and rest. I’ll check on you every break.”

I grabbed her hand before she could leave. “One cuddle first. Please?”

The members cooed and teased as Sana sighed but sat down anyway, letting me rest my head in her lap. She stroked my hair gently while the others resumed practice. Every few minutes she’d glance down, checking my temperature with the back of her hand or whispering if I needed anything.

During the first break, she brought me fruit and made sure I ate. “Open,” she said, holding a piece of apple to my mouth like I was a child. I ate it obediently, earning more laughter from the group.

“You two are disgusting,” Chaeyoung said with a grin. “In the best way.”

Sana blushed but didn’t move her hand from my hair. “He’s sick. Leave him alone.”

I looked up at her with the biggest, saddest eyes I could manage. “Don’t leave me for the next set. Stay and hold my hand.”

She groaned but smiled. “You’re impossible.”

In the end, she stayed for most of the practice, sitting with me between runs. The members didn’t mind — they even adjusted some formations so Sana could check on me more easily. When my fever spiked again, she pressed a cool towel to my forehead and whispered sweet things while the others practiced.

“You’re doing so well,” she murmured. “My strong, clingy husband.”

    I smiled weakly. “Love you.”

    “Love you more.”

    ---

By the end of practice, I was half-asleep in her lap. Sana carefully helped me up, supporting most of my weight as we headed back to the van. The members waved goodbye with teasing promises to visit with soup later.

Back at the apartment, Sana helped me change into comfortable clothes and tucked me into bed. She climbed in beside me, pulling me close so my head rested on her chest.

“Better?” she asked, fingers running through my hair.

“Much better,” I mumbled, already drifting off. “Don’t leave.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” she promised, kissing my forehead. “Sleep, baby. I’ll be right here when you wake up.”

I fell asleep to the steady beat of her heart and the soft sound of her humming one of TWICE’s songs. Being sick wasn’t fun, but having Sana take care of me made it almost worth it.

The next morning, my fever had dropped. Sana was still beside me, asleep with her arm around my waist. I watched her for a while, grateful for this woman who loved me enough to bring her sick, clingy boyfriend to practice just so he wouldn’t feel alone.

When she woke up, she smiled sleepily and pulled me closer. “Feeling better?”

“A little. Thanks to my amazing wife.”

She kissed me softly. “Good. Because today you’re staying in bed, and I’m staying with you. No arguments.”

    I grinned. “Yes, ma’am.”

Sana laughed and snuggled deeper. “That’s my good boy.”

Outside, the world kept spinning — schedules, fans, responsibilities. But inside our little apartment, it was just us. Sick days, clingy hugs, and the kind of love that made everything else feel small.

And I wouldn’t trade a single feverish moment for anything.
