Teaser: Code Blue at Midnight
The fluorescent lights of Seoul Haneul University Hospital’s Trauma Wing flickered like a warning as the automatic doors slammed open at 2:47 AM. Another Code Blue. Another night where order shattered into chaos.

Dr. Myoui Mina strode into Bay 3, white coat snapping behind her like a battle flag. Her sharp, elegant features were set in their usual mask of cool efficiency—dark hair pulled into a flawless bun, stethoscope draped with precision. She was brilliant. Blunt. And currently glaring at the man currently bleeding controlled chaos all over her sterile domain.

Detective Kang Jihoon.
He sat half-up on the gurney, broad shoulders tense under a torn black jacket, one hand pressed to his side where a fresh bruise was already blooming. His sharp eyes locked onto hers immediately—ruthless, amused, and far too knowing. The kind of gaze that saw straight through every wall she’d built.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Mina muttered, snapping on gloves with a sharp crack. “Poisoned coffee again, Detective? Or did you finally annoy the wrong criminal syndicate?”
Jihoon’s smirk was pure defiance despite the pallor on his face. “Missed you too, Doctor. Figured you’d want the pleasure of saving my ass personally.”
From the monitors, Dr. Park Hyunwoo—warm-eyed, steady-handed, and the only calm presence in the room—looked up with quiet concern. “Vitals holding, Mina. But we need full tox protocol and imaging. He wouldn’t let anyone else touch him until you arrived.”
Mina’s cheeks warmed with irritation… and something far more dangerous. For months, this man had been her biggest headache—barging into her ER, demanding impossible answers, turning her perfectly ordered medical world into a battlefield of clashing wills. Enemies at every code. Yet every time their eyes met across a gurney, the air crackled with unspoken tension.
“Robe off. Lie down,” she ordered, voice clipped. “This is a hospital, not your personal interrogation room.”
Jihoon shrugged out of his shirt, revealing lean muscle, old scars, and that infuriating confidence. As Mina began the hands-on assessment—fingers pressing firmly along his neck, chest, and abdomen—his breath hitched. The professional touches lingered a second longer than strictly necessary. Her pulse betrayed her.
“Sensitive?” she asked, refusing to acknowledge the heat building between them.
“Only when it’s you, Myoui.”

Dr. Park Hyunwoo worked silently beside her, the kind warmth in his eyes hiding how clearly he saw everything: the way Mina’s walls cracked around this detective, the spark of something inevitable. A brilliant doctor who hated losing control. A ruthless investigator who lived for the chase. And the shadowy conspiracy linking poisoned patients, hospital secrets, and a city-wide mystery that would force them all into dangerous alliance.
Love is the hardest case to solve.
What began as enemies clashing in life-or-death emergencies would spiral into steamy tension, reluctant partnership, laugh-out-loud comedy amid the chaos, pulse-pounding action, and twisting investigations. With Dr. Park Hyunwoo caught in the middle—offering quiet support while watching the fire grow—the lines between duty, desire, and danger would blur completely.
The real Code Blue wasn’t just the patient on the table.
It was the one between them.
