Start of something new

“Welcome to Incheon International Airport, hope you have an amazing time in South Korea.” Finally after 6 hours of being in the plane, you have landed at your holiday destination and now it is time for you to go on your long awaited holiday. After clearing immigration you took a trip to seoul as a start of your holiday you head to Myeondong where your apartment is at to drop your bag. Upon reaching your place you throw yourself on the couch, hearing the growl in your stomach you decided to roam around the street of Myeondong to see if there is anything to eat for dinner. As you were roaming the streets being a lost tourist because you decided to be a genius and not do any preparation before going for this trip, just in your moment of despair you saw a girl wearing red tourist guide uniform asking if you need help was like you finding that warmth in the cold snow.

“Hi Seoul tourism information service how can I help you.” Seeing the girl smiling at you with the most angelic visual you have ever seen in your life, it caused your brain to short-circuit as if you are back to primary school trying to talk to your crush for the first time. With you looking so blushed up and dumbstruck, the girl waved her hand in front of your face asking, “Hi I am Yooyeon you okay? Do you need any help?” hearing her question again you immediately recovered and asked her if there is any recommendations nearby as you are not from here. With that she took out her map and showed you the areas that you consider to go for your meal, when she was explaining to you the area you can go you offered her a meal for helping you internally hoping that she would accept since who wouldn’t want to go out with a girl like her. “Hey Yooyeon right? Thank you so much for your help are you ending your work soon, if you are are you interested in going to eat with me? You can treat it as a thank you meal from me for helping me around” you asked her with a smile and waiting for her reply. Hearing your question Yooyeon’s face lit up and with the most beautiful smile you have ever seen replied, “Yep sure I will be ending in 15 minutes, would you be okay if we meet at the mcdonalds over there?” Yooyeon point towards the mcdonald that is on your left, hearing her reply, you gave a smile and agree to wait for her. While waiting for you decided to go to the mochi vendor to grab a quick bite and seeing that you are waiting for Yooyeon you saw a strawberry princess mochi that reminds you of her so you decided to get one for her too as she is willing to bring you a stranger that she know for less than 20 minutes around town.

You were waiting for Yooyeon you felt a tap on your shoulder as you turned back you saw her in her casual wear still wearing that bright smile that caught your attention earlier, your face automatically blushed again. Seeing your reaction she giggled and told you to follow which you followed, before that you passed her the mochi that you brought her, “Here this is something small that I got you earlier as I didn’t know which flavor would you like I got you this strawberry princess mochi as it reminds me of you, hope you like it though.” When she saw the dessert she blushed and thank you for it as she did expect you to do that for her. As you were following her, Yooyeon brought you to small barbeque restaurant that is hidden in the alley of Myeondong. When the two of you entered the owner welcome you two asked if you two were a couple, hearing that question it caused the two of you to blushed almost instantly and both of you immediately corrected the owner. As the two of you were eating, you wanted to break the ice hence you started to introduce yourself then asked Yooyeon the questions to know her better.

“ Yooyeon right, I was thinking if we can know each other better as you are the first person I met in Korea and I was thinking if we can be friends, if you think it is awkward it is okay but I can first introduce myself if you want so that you don’t think I am being too much?” Hearing your question Yooyeon nodded her head and asked you introduce yourself first, “Well I am from Singapore and currently I am on an overseas exchange at Hongik University for the next semester so I am looking for a friend to spend time with over here, so Yooyeon are you also a student? I mean by your look you look around my age?” When she heard your question it caused a moment of doubt in her as she was questioning if you do not know her as an idol or you think she is just a normal girl, luckily she chose to believe the latter as she replied you with a smile, “Yep I am also a student at Ewha Women University which is not far from your university too so if you want we can hangout at Hongdae which is nearby too. Speaking of which do you have Kakao? This way we can keep contact after this?” Hearing herself Yooyeon was surprised by her actions as never would she ever think she would be so bold to ask for your contact but there is something about you that attracts Yooyeon giving her a sense of comfort. The thought of having another outing with Yooyeon caused your brain to shut down as a girl like her would want to spend more time with you, you with your barely functional brain stuttered while passing her phone, “Ye..ah sure of course I would like to , this is my Kakao account, hope to see you around.” Seeing your blushed cheeks and short-circuiting gave Yooyeon a laugh as she typed in her kakao details on to your phone and whisper to your ear how she will keep in contact with you.

By the end of the dinner, you brought Yooyeon to the train station bidding farewell to each other and Yooyeon reminded to you to keep in contact with her. As you were walking back to your apartment, you felt ring on your phone as you look at the content it was from Yooyeon as she is asking when is the next outing with her bringing you around Seoul. This brought a smile to you as you felt giddy and warm hoping this may be a start of something new. While at Yooyeon side, when she sent you that text it brought a last smile on her which did not go unnoticed by her members as Sohyun questioned, “So unnie how did today shoot for the information guide goes? Why are you smiling at your phone so much? Oh look who is this, he seems cute did you meet him earlier?” It was like Sohyun started a chain of questions that caught the attention of the whole dorm as all the girls came over to swarm Yooyeon with questions. This cause her to blush up with a tint of pink on her cheeks as she ran back to her room, as she was sitting on her was thinking could this something new for her and how would you react if you find out she is an idol will it change how you think of her?
