2016. It has been quite a while, hasn’t it?
It has been a bit over a decade since we first learned of your existence, in your very first performance on Produce 101. I must say, your angelic face didn’t quite match that intense 4Minute song, and yet, you let everyone know exactly how much talent you possessed.
A talent that you still hold onto to this day, even though I am certain that after everything that has happened, it might be hard for even you to believe it at times.
Because talent isn't the only thing needed to have a successful career; there are many other factors that are perhaps even more crucial: good luck, a welcoming environment, a supportive and hardworking team behind you...
And all of us who followed your career as a group know perfectly well that you were never granted the opportunity you truly deserved.
It might sound delusional, but I am convinced that CLC possessed the talent and the genuine potential to be one of the greatest groups of their generation, with a much longer and more successful journey.
I am not crazy, my reality is simply different from yours. Isn't that right?
And perhaps it is selfish to say this, but the only thing I am truly glad for is that Cube added you to CLC, even before the survival show ended. Because without that, perhaps I would have never gotten to know you the way I did.
Though I must admit I am left wishing I could have seen how much more you all had to offer, I suppose that is just how life goes.
Ten years later, you have decided to retire from this incredibly unfair industry. I deeply wish that you can finally be happy for the rest of your life, and that nothing and no one can ever take away that smile which has brought so much warmth to fans like me during all this time.
Thank you for brightening not only the members but all of Cheshire with your presence ever since you arrived.
Thank you for always being the ultimate source of energy for the entire fandom.
Thank you for always standing firmly by the members' sides whenever they needed you.
Thank you for loving Cheshire unconditionally, regardless of the adversities.
And thank you for working so incredibly hard in every single comeback, variety show, interview, and K-drama. You did amazing.
It is difficult to express in words what even the heart cannot fully comprehend, but I refuse to tell you "Goodbye and good luck." Because that would seem like a final farewell. CLC and Cheshire are a family, and within a family, goodbyes do not exist, because family always stays together.
So, I will only say:
Saranghae, Eunbin-ah. You are the best maknae Cheshire could have ever wished for.
