minju fluff for her bday. just some inner thoughts of what i thought when i first saw minju on the big stage ngl. might just be her ears.

Every time you look at Park Minju, the first thought that drifts into your mind is that she looks like she belongs in a fantasy world.

Not the dramatic, armor-clad kind of fantasy with dragons and everything.

More like one of those cozy late-night Twitch streamers where an impossibly pretty girl dressed as an elf sits in a candlelit tavern, surrounded by wooden shelves, old spellbooks, and glowing potion bottles. There’s always gentle lute music in the background, a fire crackling somewhere off-screen, and rain tapping against the windows while she smiles at the camera like she’s been waiting for you to arrive.

Though impossibly pretty girl alone is enough to describe what Minju is.

The shape of her eyes—large, dark, and impossibly expressive. The elegant line of her nose. The softness of her lips. The way her long hair falls around her face like silk, framing features so delicate that sometimes you catch yourself staring longer than you mean to.

    And her presence.

Gentle, a little bit of a crackhead, thinking of the corniest things and always thinking about League like her full time job isn’t being an idol. You want to say quiet as well, but sometimes the amount of chatter that comes from her mouth genuinely surprises you, because your first thoughts were that she was a rather extreme introvert thanks to her mellow, insanely calming voice.

Tonight, she’s curled up beside you on the couch in your apartment.

The lights are dim, save for the warm glow of a lamp in the corner. Some fantasy movie plays on the television, but neither of you is paying much attention. Minju is wearing one of your oversized hoodies, the sleeves covering most of her hands. Her legs are tucked beneath her, and her head rests comfortably against your shoulder.

She smells faintly of shampoo and the vanilla lotion she always uses.

One of your arms is wrapped around her waist, your thumb tracing absent-minded circles against the soft fabric at her side.

    You glance down at her.

Her eyelashes flutter as she watches the screen. A few strands of hair have fallen across her cheek. Her lips are slightly parted in concentration, and she looks so peaceful, so effortlessly beautiful, that the familiar thought appears in your mind before you can stop it.

    Elf.

    Your beautiful elf.

As if she can sense the weight of your gaze, Minju lifts her head. Her eyes meet yours, warm and curious, a small smile curving her lips like a secret shared only with the moonlight.

“What?” she asks, her voice soft as velvet.

You reach out, brushing the loose strands behind her ear with gentle fingers, lingering at the delicate curve of it.

“Has anyone ever told you that you look like an elf?”

Her eyes widen with genuine surprise. “An elf?”

“Mhm.” A slow smile tugs at your mouth. “Like those fantasy streamers who build cozy tavern setups—flickering candles, ancient books, glowing potion bottles. The kind of girl who calls everyone ‘traveler’ in that low, melodic voice and somehow makes it sound like the most romantic invitation in any realm.”

Minju stares at you for a heartbeat.

Then a quiet, melodic laugh escapes her, light and crystalline, the kind that feels like it could charm forest spirits awake.

“That’s… such a specific compliment,” she says, cheeks already blooming with a soft pink.

    “It’s true,” you murmur.

    The blush deepens instantly.

Minju lowers her eyes for a moment, trying to hide the smile spreading across her face.

    “You’re ridiculous,” she whispers.

    “Maybe.”

You rest your forehead gently against hers, breathing her in. “But if I stumbled into some enchanted forest and found you sitting beneath an ancient oak, moonlight spilling through your hair like silver threads… I’d know I was being blessed by the gods themselves.”

She lets out another soft, breathy laugh, then looks up at you with those impossibly tender eyes that always make your heart feel too large for your ribs.

“Your elf?” she asks, the words barely more than a whisper. Playful on the surface, yet laced with something hopeful and vulnerable that steals the air from your lungs.

Your chest tightens with overwhelming affection.

You pull her closer until there’s nothing left between you—no space, no air, only warmth and the steady beat of her heart against yours.

“Always,” you say, voice low and certain. “My elf.”

The smile she gives you then is devastatingly soft, radiant with pure affection. It steals the breath straight from your lungs.

Minju melts against your chest, her arms sliding around your waist as if she was made to fit there. And perhaps she was.

The movie flickers on in the background, forgotten. The apartment feels warmer, cozier, as if the walls themselves have softened. Outside, the steady rain transforms into the gentle patter against the shutters of some ancient tavern. The soft lamp in the corner becomes dancing candlelight. And the woman in your arms feels less like a beautiful coincidence and more like something written into the stars long ago.

You press a lingering kiss to the crown of her head, lips brushing her silky hair, inhaling the faint wildflower sweetness of her shampoo.

“I love you,” you whisper into the strands.

Then she smiles. Gentle, luminous, and just a little enchanted, but always familiar and soothing.

In the warm glow of your apartment, holding Park Minju close, it becomes impossible to deny that magic exists.

Because in this vast, ordinary world, the most beautiful elf girl somehow found you…

    …and chose to stay.
