Dahyun was doing her finances on her dining table. It was a Saturday, her and Tzuyu didn't have work and she really needed to at least get that out of the way in case something bad or unexpected happened and she would have to eat off microwavable dinners or something instant from a convenience store.
Tzuyu said she was coming over with supplies and then said she would cook for both of them. Which was great, because Dahyun wasn't sure if she was able to concentrate enough to make anything decent. Plus, Tzuyu offered, so she wouldn't say no to that.
She sighed.
Of course, it would be immature and naive to even think that she was going to have a ball when she moved to Taiwan. There was so many things to account for, and if she wanted to have some money left for herself—and enough to spend for stamps and sending N's letters—then she might have to make sacrifices to some of her expenses.
“Hey,” Tzuyu called her when she entered the apartment. “You have a letter?”
Dahyun whipped her head up, dropped her pen and scrambled out of the dining table, almost tripping on her steps as she rushed towards Tzuyu to grab the letter from her hands.
“Woah! I’m not going to eat it, chill out,” Tzuyu said after a chuckle, shaking her head and walking towards the kitchen counter.
“Sorry,” Dahyun replied back, a bit out of breath. She quickly, but carefully, opened N’s letter and read it, she didn't even care that Tzuyu was around her.

Don’t get too attached to me. I don’t think anything about me screams happiness anymore. I just wanted to be polite because stamps aren’t particularly cheap these days and you act as if you don’t mind. And I sure do not want you to send me letters if you pity me because I’m a mess.
Excuse me if I sound judgmental, but I’m going to assume that you have a well-paying job for you to willingly send a letter from Taiwan all the way here. Unless you write to your family as well, then I guess that makes sense.
But wasting it on me doesn’t. Don’t pity me please.
