You are tired and go outside, then get abducted by a succubus. Do I need to say more?
The moon was out in full force, basking the slumbering city in its cold light. Bright enough to illuminate but not to intrude, giving a dim embrace to all those who need it. Watching over those who are resting.
Which should be you, wish it was.
But your mind was working overtime to make sure that wasn't going to be the case. Thoughts vividly dancing around your head. Bouncing from neuron to neuron as fingers grabbed onto the bedsheets, trying to nullify the frustration only making the situation worse.
This wasn't going to do, hand grabbing in the dark for your phone. A bright flash violating your pupils, stinging like hell as you shut your left eye to focus.
2:41am.
Fuck... time has flown by, minutes like seconds. The goal of being up nice and early is off the table now. Giving up sleeping was an option but doesn't cure how awful your body felt.
The thought of going outside to clear your head was the first one that wasn't intrusive. Something you'll capitalise on, slumping out of bed onto the carpet floor. Lifting your arms to the sky as every muscle tightened, your yawns incessant while you slipped on a hoodie.
Night's breeze hit you like crack, sobering all the tiredness out of your body with its cold stagnant air. The clarity preferable to frustration. The asphalt was moist with lingering remnants of rain. An occasional puddle or two decorating the path you walked on.
There was no path in mind– just walking aimlessly until satisfied. Drifting away wherever the hypothetical current would take you. A handful of people populated the city streets, those who had too much to drink or were working the earliest of shifts.
You walked and walked
and walked.
Longer than you ever intended to do so.
"Hey! You!" A feminine voice shouted, you turned around. A stranger, wearing clothes far too thin and barren in fabric for frigid weather. A black crop top and something to (barely) cover her arms. Maybe she just ran hot, who are you to judge. You spared her a puzzled glance.
"Hello?"
"Oh thank god I found someone out here– please help, my car broke down!" She looked to be under heavy duress, on the verge of tears. "It's so late, I just want to go home, its scary out here."
You checked your phone, it wasn't turning on, screen mocking you with your own reflection. Fuck.
"I can do my best, miss."
"Thank you! Please, follow me." She gestured with her hand, turning around to walk towards to the right, moving between a light jog and standard walking.
The route she chose was dodgy, going between buildings and through some dingy alleyways that you'd never choose to go into of your own will.
"Thank you again for coming with me, I was getting desperate– so so hungry." She jumped over a fence like it was nothing, you struggled and scratched your forearm. Hopping behind her.
"It's no problem, is this the only route to your car?"
"No, but I'd like to be home before daybreak. Hope you understand."
"It's no problem, how far?"
"Not much longer, oh– forgive me for my rudeness. I'm Hyunjin." She apologised, the night's chill was getting worse, piercing through your clothes. How her skin wasn't red was a mystery.
"Nice to meet you Hyunjin.."
"Likewise."
The cities obstacle course proved no match for her, hoisting over some artificial shrubbery. "Just a bit further, thank you." You were in your mind, no battery left and this city was hard to navigate. A favour for a favour maybe, hopefully.
She was shaking while walking, head lowered to face the ground. "You okay?"
"Yeah, just hungry..." Hyunjin turned to face you, "Car's right there. I don't know whats up with it, but maybe you can figure it out." She watched on. Throwing you the keys.
You checked the hood first, nothing seemed wrong. All in order, or your car is very very fucked up. "Hm.."
"You okay?" Hyunjin asked.
"Just not seeing much."
"It could be the wheels."
Surely she could have seen this, but you had a look. Crouching on the ground, nothing on this one. Rotating clockwise, checking every wheel at once. On the final wheel you spotted something, "Something's blocking it. It's like, a metal oblong...? How did this get under your wheel?"
"I don't know..." She seemed distant, dazed, looking up towards the soon to set moon. "Check the trunk." Her presence was unsettling, not everyone is a night person. You shrugged.
Your hands opened the boot, a bunch of bags obscured anything of use. Pushing them out of the way looking for something.
Arms wrapped around you, holding you still. "Were you never taught to not follow strangers?" Hyunjin's voice hummed in your ears. Nails digging into your coat. "Tut tut..."
"Hyunjin?"
"I was really lucky to find you– hunger nearly caused me to do something I'd regret." She purred, dropping the voice to a deep chuckle. "So so lucky."
"What are you doing?" You stammered out, Hyunjin pulled you backwards, closing the car boot. Shoving you into it. Hyunjin and you stared at each other, expression darkened and eyes glowing a faint yellow.
"I'm surprised you haven't heard of me– been on the news for 'mysterious' disappearances." She seemed almost prideful, "It's easier to drop pretenses right? I'm a succubus, you know what that is right?"
You shook your head.
"That's... surprising. I'll keep it brief, since I'm close to snapping. Let's just say, I fuck people to feed. Which puts you in my path." She towered over you, pushing your back further against the metal.
"Why would I agree to this?" You tried to worm out of her grasp, but she was strong. An iron grip preventing you from moving even an inch.
"Well... first off, look at me– If I came up to you in a bar you'd be on your knees in thirty minutes." Hyunjin rolled her eyes, stating it matter of factly. "The second option is I just drink your blood, my dad was a vampire."
You stayed silent, on the back foot. Hyunjin's eyes were getting glassy. "I'm not one for tradition." Her voice was surprisingly casual, youthful. "Usual practice states I bring you home, make you comfortable then feed on you till death. But... the heartbreak is boring."
She continued, seemingly annoyed that you hadn't said anything. "Eugh, look. I'll give you three options. Drain your blood, your cock or you can try to run away. But if I catch you? I'll kill you for wasting my fucking time."
"Are you not going to kill me either way?"
"Nope, that'd make my parents proud. Normally I just dump them in a road afterwards." She sighed, "So...?"
Hyunjin was hot– obviously, that's the point seemingly. Every inch of her body was alluring, sweet venom trying to drag you under. Running away wasn't truly an option. Her physical prowess was flaunted in every action she made, being bitten? Not for you.
