Who?

It’s Okay. Obviously. If you don’t already know who I am, how did you even find this?

Now that the unnecessary sass is out of the way, who am I for real this time: I’ve been somewhat involved with the kfic community since around 2019ish when I started reading. Not too long after that, I started writing!

Feel free to jump ahead to the “What?” section if you just want to know what this blog is about, I’m just going to share a bit about the start of my writing journey below for those who might be interested.

I’ve always been a bit of an English nerd. I wasn’t the type of person to correct my friends’ grammar or anything, but I was the type of person to pick up on the mistakes silently (please don’t be too rude when I inevitably make grammar mistakes in this blog). There’s something about language arts, and communication in general, that I just find appealing. That said, love for the discipline wasn’t actually enough to get me to start writing. What it actually took was just a tiny bit of frustration.

By frustration, I mean very specifically the fact that I kept getting invested into stories that would randomly poof out of existence — I like to think this was the catalyst for my writing journey. Don’t get me wrong, it was always in the back of my head. I always thought it could be kinda fun. Especially as I started reading more and more, I began discovering what I enjoyed and what I didn’t quite enjoy. I used to read a lot back then.

At the time, my story of choice was definitely series format involving Twice. Of course I read the occasional one-shot and other groups/idols, but my heart was always set on Twice.

And thus, OkayLikesMomo was born.

Starting with the literal most generic and boring plot conceivable: manager reader has sex with all 9 members.

Since then, I have branched out towards a bunch of different styles and plots. I still enjoy writing in series format the most, but one-shots definitely have their own charm. It’s all about experimenting, I like to dip my toes into all sorts of genres!

These days I’m leaning a bit towards scifi, I’d say that’s where my heart is at the moment — that and romance; Dating Seraphs will always be my baby. I think I’m going to talk more about my current preferences when it comes to writing and my active projects in a separate post.

This should be enough about who I am, for now at least.

What?

A place for me to share my personal thoughts about writing, life, and whatever topic I find interesting at the time. It’s all about perspective — you’ll be getting mine.

However, I have to be very clear about one thing. This is a place for me to share my own viewpoints — I am NOT speaking from a place of authority; In other words, I might very well have a totally different experience as the next guy, so I am not claiming to be an expert on any of the topics I discuss. I’m just a person who writes fanfiction in their free time.

Also, consider this to be a bit of a work in progress. I’m going to see which parts I enjoy and which parts I don’t enjoy. Once I can figure that out, I’ll adjust the content of this blog accordingly. I’ll explain more about why I’m even starting this blog in the… you’ll never guess… “Why?” section!

I’ll also add that the topics don’t necessarily have to be about writing. For the sake of keeping personal information private, I won’t go into too much detail about certain topics, but I am willing to share my perspectives on other areas as well. Whether it’s life in general, relationship stuff, school, work, your favorite sandwich (I’m a sucker for a nice Philly Cheesesteak these days), feel free to ask whatever you want.

When?

Posts will be as consistent as my fics. Yeah… sorry in advance…

That being said, whenever a topic I find suitable for this little blog comes up, I’m happy to post! I’ll try to sporadically think of things to chit chat about, but I would absolutely love any suggestions. There are a number of ways to reach me, but if you actually want me to see it then stick to Fanprose or Discord.

Where?

Um. Here. Maybe this 5 Ws thing was a bad idea.

Why?

Other people have blogs and I felt left out!

I’m like, 99% joking with that last statement, the other 1% comes from the fact that I just enjoy interacting with every feature on Fanprose. Other than a co-authored story (coming soon, by the way), this was one of the last features I haven’t messed around with.

Alright, now why am I doing this? Honestly, I just love the hobby; I find it fun to ramble and share my thoughts with people. From surface level conversations about which Le Sserafim fit I like the most to more educational conversations about writing techniques and everything in between, I just enjoy chatting!

I also wanted a public place where I can chat about specific writing stuff. For example, I’m thinking about making a post on this blog about some of my stories — stuff like my thought process while writing, alternative endings/versions, what I’m happy or not-so-happy about in the final product.

There’s also nothing to lose… if I end up hating this blog idea then I’ll simply let it go.

How?

That’s right, I didn’t forget the 5 Ws’ close cousin. If you actually made it this far and read all my nonsense, props to you. This is the part where you come in. Yes, YOU, the reader.

If you have a topic in mind, send it my way. Pick stuff where you actually care about my perspective specifically. I’m not here to answer simple questions that you can look up yourself — I’m not your LLM of choice. I’m a person with real, lived experiences, opening myself like a book for anyone who is interested to enjoy!
