"You're fine, you look good," I chuckled, shaking my head.
"I'm just making sure," Chaewon laughed, following behind me as we walked through the girls’ dorm building. "I want to look nice, especially since you said those fashion girls are going to be there."
"Yeah, but trust me, it doesn't matter. You're beautiful, your outfit will speak for itself," I replied, reassuringly. The brunette girl had on a black blouse and ripped skinny jeans. She was showing off her smooth, pale thighs, and her shirt hugged her slender frame. She looked like the perfect mix of sexy and cute.
"If you say so," She said, sighing. I turned around and smiled, reaching a hand to fix the hem of her shirt, "You look good, Chae. You don't have anything to worry about." We stopped in front of a dorm door and I gave her one last smile before raising my fist to knock. From behind the door, I could hear a loud crash followed by a curse word, and the sound of footsteps scurrying around.
"What the fuck," I mumbled, raising an eyebrow. The door flung open and a wave of iconic pink and blue hair appeared followed by Nakyung's face as it poked out. "Oh, hey guys. Come on in," She said, waving. She was rubbing her foot and grumbling, "I kicked the fuck out of the coffee table."
"Uh, are you okay," Chaewon asked with an amused laugh.
"Yeah, yeah," She scoffed. The two of us walked into her dorm and found an array of stuff spread around the living room. Things like stray shoes, random bowls that hopefully were empty, and crumpled napkins littered her floors. There was a bag full of snacks, a couple cases of beer, and a bottle of vodka on the coffee table.
"Sorry for the mess," Nakyung apologized, rushing forward to pick up and throw the trash into the garbage can. "I'm still getting ready."
"It's alright," I said, my laugh fading away as I took in how messy my best friend really was. I guided Chaewon over to Nakyung's couch and plopped down, sighing. "We're still waiting for the others to get there anyways."
"Cool, great," She nodded. Her hair was messy and loose, and her body was hidden under her hoodie. Her face had some light make-up on, and her lips were colored red. She turned to look at Chaewon, her eyes glancing up and down. "You're looking cute, Chaewon," Nakyung complimented, shooting her a friendly smile.
"Ah, thanks," Chaewon smiled. "What are you planning on wearing?"
"Eh, I dunno," Nakyung shrugged. She glided over to her bedroom door, "I guess something simple. I'm not planning on making too big of a fuss. Jeans and a hoodie," She walked inside and shut the door, leaving the two of us in the living room. Chaewon's eyes flickered around the room, taking in the space.
"Her dorm's kinda messy," Chaewon whispered, looking back at me.
"Haha, that's normal. She's never the cleanest person," I responded, a small grin on my face. She turned around to sit next to me and leaned her back against my arm. Chaewon's perfume smelled like berries and sugar, and the smell was intoxicating. Her hair tickled my arms and neck, and the sensation caused goosebumps to rise on my skin.
I sighed and rested a hand on her thigh, absentmindedly caressing her soft, bare skin. I didn't mean anything by it, it was just a simple, natural gesture.
"Your dorms are nice and spacious though," Chaewoon cooed. "I'm jealous. Mine's like a shoebox compared to this."
"It's not a big deal," I said, laughing. "Yours is fine."
"You're the type to downplay things, you know," She mumbled, her voice sounding disappointed.
"I do, but your dorm's small but comfortable," I insisted. "You make the best of it. It's not that bad."
Chaewon huffed, not entirely satisfied. After a short minute, she relaxed and leaned further into me, "I guess so." She let her head rest on my shoulder and her hand came to grab mine, intertwining our fingers. My hand was enveloped by her small hands and the gesture made my heart flutter.
"It'll be fun tonight," I murmured, looking down at her. Her head turned and she looked up, giving me a warm smile, "Yes, I’m excited. I hope I make them laugh or something for them to remember me by. You know, like oh, that Chaewon girl is dope, she did this and yada yada."
“You will, just yap like you’re doing right now," I assured. She gave my hand a squeeze and leaned up, pressing a quick kiss on the corner of my mouth. I grinned and pulled her closer, returning the kiss, a bit longer. Chaewon hummed happily and melted into the kiss, her hands coming up to cup my face. I felt her soft tongue swipe against my lips, and the sensation sent tingles throughout my body.
"Gross, save it for the bedroom," A voice spoke, cutting through the moment. I broke the kiss and turned to Nakyung exiting her bedroom, a look of disgust on her face. She was dressed in a cropped white tee, and a pair of tight black jeans. Her stomach was exposed, her toned abs showing off her hard work.
"Shut up," I shot back, rolling my eyes. Chaewon laughed and moved to sit up straight, her fingers still playing with mine. "Alright, I'm ready to go," Nakyung stated, walking to the kitchen. She grabbed her wallet and phone, and shoved them into her pockets.
"Do we have everything?" I asked, turning to the girls.
"Yes, we're all set," Chaewon nodded, giving my hand another squeeze. "Let's go." I reached for the cases of beer and the bottle of vodka, while the two girls grabbed the bags of chips and snacks. With all of our items gathered, we left the dorm and started walking down the halls.
"Do you know the way to Saerom's house?" Nakyung asked, glancing over at me.
"Yep," I confirmed, nodding. "It's not that far. Twenty minutes max, maybe more if I want to take the scenic route."
"Mmkay," She nodded.
The three of us walked out of the dorms and hopped into my car. As soon as the engine roared to life, Nakyung took control and plugged her phone in, putting on a playlist.
"Okay, here we go," Nakyung exclaimed, a bright grin on her face. She turned the volume up and a booming, electronic beat filled the interior. The car vibrated and shook, the bass rattling my ears.
"Oh god," I muttered, laughing. Chaewon sat in the passenger seat, buckling herself in and she smiled, "Nice music."
"Thanks," Nakyung said, proudly. I reversed the car and we began to drive off the campus, leaving the school behind.

Saerom's house wasn't anything special, but it was nice. It was a cozy little townhouse with a quaint backyard, a garage, and a decent size. Her house was nestled away in a quiet, suburban area, away from the bustling city life.
As we approached the home, a bunch of cars were parked along the side of the road. I parked behind what I recognized as Haechan's car, and the three of us got out, carrying the bags and bottles with us.
"This looks like a nice house," Chaewon commented, her eyes trailing the front.
"Yeah," I agreed, nodding. We walked to the front and the door swung open, revealing Jung Wooyoung, a shit-eating grin on his face.
"Hello, welcome, come on in," He welcomed, gesturing for us to enter. I thanked him and stepped inside, finding myself standing in the living room. Seated on the couches with drinks in hand were some of the goobers, chatting and laughing.
"We brought some more booze," Nakyung said, passing the bottle of vodka into Wooyoung's hands. "Thanks, girl," He nodded, accepting the alcohol and passing her arm around Nakyung to give her a side hug. He turned back to the group, "Guess who made it!" Wooyoung grinned widely at Chaewon, who was standing beside me.
"Chaewon!" Sana squealed, a bright smile on her face. Tzuyu, Yeji, and Joy stood up and came forward, excited smiles on their faces. The girls passed around hugs and cheers, their hands waving happily.
"It's been so long since we've seen you," Yeji grinned, looking at Chaewon. "How have you been?"
"I've been good, how about you guys?" Chaewon asked, politely.
"Oh, we're great," Sana smiled, looping her arm with Chaewon. "We missed you on the cabin trip. But! This means we can go again next year and make up for it!"
"That's a good idea," Chaewon said, laughing and nodding. "Where's Saerom, though? We gotta say hi."
"She's upstairs," Yeji explained. "She'll be down in a bit. In the meantime, let's get you guys some drinks and catch up!" The group cheered, and Wooyoung came forward, handing each of us a plastic shot cup filled with the vodka that Nakyung had handed him.
"To us," Wooyoung said, smiling. He raised his cup and the rest of us followed, our voices shouting together, "To us!" We downed our shots, the harsh burn of alcohol coating our throats and tongues. I winced and set my empty cup down, sighing, "Shit, I hate that."
"Haha, damn, Minjae," Joy chuckled, giving me a light pat on the back. "I know it's been a while since you drank, but don't tell me you're losing your edge."
"Shut up," I grumbled, rolling my eyes. Chaewon rubbed circles on my lower back and the feeling soothed me.
