Chirp Chirp Chirp

The birds are chirping harmoniously, soaring in the air, as the wind blows against the trees and gently down the empty road as the sun rises casting shadows down through the many trees. It was a beautiful start on a peaceful and calming day in summer.

Or it was a beautiful start to the day. A loud roar ripple through the air disrupting the tranquility of nature outside. Taking a close look into a dormitory, a teenage girl is seen running around with a short hair cheetah like women chasing her. What’s peculiar regarding this situation is that the face of the cheetah lookalike is fully covered with whip cream. 

“Yah! Hong Eunchae, get your butt over here and accept your punishment!!”

“Make me!” retaliates Eunchae as she zooms through the halls.

Running around their spacious living room, Eunchae run towards their modern kitchen, dodging a flying slipper aiming straight at her. She circulates the kitchen island trying to daze her chaser feinting left and right trying to fake her out. Fortunately for her it wasn’t empty as another girl was standing there, suddenly an idea pops into her mind. She quickly zooms towards said girl and uses her as a shield as putting a shield between her and her chaser. 

Startle by the sudden change of movement, the girl, who was just minding her business cooking breakfast, squeals in fright as she is used as a meat shield. Seeing a barrier between her target, the chaser stops and stares at Eunchae with narrow eyes, receiving a fit of laughter instead of the intimidation the chaser was aiming for due to the whip cream making her look funny.

“Stop hiding behind Sakura-unnie and receive your punishment.” orders the girl

“No!” Eunchae replies quickly

“Sigh, Eunchae-ah stop this and apologize to Chaewon.” Said Sakura with a tired sight

 “But unnie I don’t want to!” pleads Eunchae to Sakura

“Come on baby, go apologize, I need to finish making breakfast, it’s your favorite!”

“I’m not a baby.” Whines Eunchae

“Eunchae.” Warns Sakura

“ok… Sorry Chaewon unnie” Eunchae apologizes as she let Sakura go

“Hmph, don’t do this again” replies Chaewon as she turns her head around and walks away wanting to get the whip cream off her face.

“Yea right.” mumbles Eunchae staring at Chaewon’s back with a devious smile.

“Eunchae go wake up Yunjin and Zuha please, Breakfast is almost ready.” Asks Sakura as she resumes cooking

Eunchae nods her head, sprints up the stairs bumping into Chaewon along the way, causing her to stumble. She arrives at the last 2 doors in the hallway and jumps high up and kick both  two doors at the same time yelling.

“Yunjin Unnie! Kazuha Unnie! Wake up! Time for breakfast!!!!” screams Eunchae as she lands back down.

“Yaa Hong Eunchae!! You better fix the door!!” Screams the two girls who were scared to death

Eunchae quickly runs back into the kitchen giggling and sits down in front of a plate of Sakura’s special pancakes, strawberry stuff dark chocolate pancakes but for Eunchae it was milk chocolate. Picking up her fork she proceeds to gobble down the pancakes at alarming speeds. 

“Baby-ah! slow down or you’ll choke on your food.” Said Sakura as she place down the remaining plates of pancakes on the table before untying her apron and joins Eunchae at the table to eat her own breakfast.

“Unnie, this is amazing! Could you keep making it like this forever?” mumbles Eunchae as crumps of food flew out her mouth.

“Sigh Kura-Unnie will die from overworking if she were to do that, and you’ll get fat.” said Chaewon as she sits down beside Sakura

“No Matter how adorable you are Eunchae-ah, I don’t think we can handle another version of you.” Said Yunjin as her and Kazuha walks down the stairs and takes a seat around the table joining them for breakfast.

“ The whole dorm will be in ruins if that happens.” Says Kazuha, causing Eunchae to pout sadly at the teasing.

Eunchae quickly finish up her breakfast before standing up and make her way to the living room plopping onto the couch to watch the tv. The other girls sighs before continuing their breakfast conversing with different topics. Finishing their breakfast, the girls starts cleaning up, whipping the table, putting the dish in the sink and washing the dishes. Right as they finish cleaning,  Chaewon receives a call on her phone, seeing the caller ID she picks up her phone she answers the phone 

“Good morning, Manager-nim” said Chaewon in a polite tone

“Good morning Chaewon, Are the others with you?” asks the Manager

“Yes, they are, Should I put this on speaker?” questioned Chaewon as she motions for everyone to gather around much to someone’s dismay.

“Yes please, okay now, I’ve received word from PD-Nim that you girls have been invited to participate in a special event called the Valorant Champions: Grand Final later this month.” Said the Manager

“Eh” is the response for most of the girls as they have never heard of this event before. Sakura, being the gamer of the group, naturally heard of Valorant as it was made by Riot Games, the creator of League of Legends which she plays from time to time. Though she was confused on what the event was as she never really played or learned much about the game besides it being an FPS game.

“ From what I know, Valorant is a 5-player tactical first play shooter game, created by Riot Games, where players must plant the bomb on a site or defend the sites from the bomb being planted using the characters’ ability. It is like Overwatch, the game you guys played last year.” Explains the Manager

“Would we be performing a song like last year?” questions Kazuha

“Good question Kazuha, no you are not, as another group would be performing a song created by Riot. You guys are just invited to play the game against another group as a pre-match event and watch the Grand Finals of their International Tournament in Seoul. You guys will also vlog your experience at the event and will be meeting the teams competing along with some streamers.” Answers the Manager

Enlightened, Kazuha and the girls now understand though they are curious who would be performing at the event.

“Manager-nim, do you know why we were invited if we aren’t performing or partnering with them.” Questions Yunjin

Normally, groups who are personally invited to these events are either collaborating with the company to promote the game by performing a song or a member has publicly stated during a live or interview that they play the game. Since they aren’t collaborating with the company nor has any of the members played their games, there wasn’t an obvious reason why they would be invited to the event.

“I’m not too sure but I did hear that someone requested you guys specifically to be there. Maybe they are fans?” answers the manager

Although a bit confused, they accepted the answer.

“Also, I recommend you guys to try and get somewhat familiar with the game, maybe watch a video or 2 from streamers like Tarik. Other than that, you girls have the day off, but you all have schedules tomorrow so rest up. Annyeong.” recommends the Manager

“Nae, Manager-nim Annyeong” said the girls 

“Well, I guess we should go watch some videos.” Said Yunjin, the girl nods

“Yeaaa nope! Imma go to my room and watch some dramas with Kyujin” said Eunchae as she ran up to her room.
