You and Sana enjoy the first night of the rest of your lives.
At last, she was yours and you were hers.
“Waaaah~ we’re here!!!” Sana charged into the room, immediately launching herself off the floor and flopping face first onto the bed, giggling loudly. You smiled at your now-wife’s antics, amused at how she managed to retain her energy after such a long flight.
“Yah, come, cuddle with me!” Sana tapped the space next to her. “Screw the luggage, come hug me!” You sighed jokingly, letting go of the handles of the luggage, before running launching yourself into Sana’s arms as she squealed in surprise. You buried yourself in the crook of her neck, smiling at how Sana whined about how she was the one who was supposed to be cuddled while she wrapped her arms around your body.
“Sana-ya, we’re here. The first night of our honeymoon.” You hugged her tight, joy and excitement coursing through your veins. Sana reciprocated by tightening her arms, holding you tight against her body. She then released you, shifting herself downwards to meet you eye to eye, touching foreheads with you, before whispering, “I love you,” then bringing her lips to yours for a kiss.
One kiss turned to two, two turned to three, three turned to five. Both of you enjoyed the feel of the other in each other’s arms, and the slow kisses filled with nothing but love and passion for the other.
“I’m gonna take a shower, I’ll be back later.”
“Okay, honey,” Sana smiled. “Come back quickly, I wanna cuddle.”
Sana made her way to the balcony once the shower turned on, breathing in the fresh night air. This was all she ever wanted, to have a chance to build a life with the man of her dreams. She leaned against the railings of the balcony, staring out into the city, thinking about the times both of you shared.
Both of you had met at a cafe where she was a barista and you were a regular. You would show up every morning for good coffee, and Sana was the first to strike up a conversation after both of you had one too many instances where she took your order. One day, she just took the initiative to approach you when she was on break, and as the hours went by, you left the coffeeshop with her number and a date.
On the first date, she hugged you for the first time.
On the third date, she kissed you on the cheek before you left.
On the fifth date, you kissed her forehead and made her the shyest blushing and giggling mess. That night, she became your girlfriend.
Your first kiss was a bit of a mess, but she wouldn’t have traded it for the world. Sana was the one who surprised you one night when both of you were watching a movie on Netflix. She called your name, and when you turned to her, her lips were on yours, and you choked in panic. It was embarrassing then, but now, it was a fond memory. Of course, you made up for it with lots of kisses for her that night, and all the way up to now, where both of you were finally married.
Sana blushed at the memory of the first time both of you had made love to the other. It was a little clumsy from both parties’ inexperience, but it was soft and sensual. Sana giggled, thinking about how uncertain both you and her were then.
Her train of thought led her to the day before, where both of you had just gotten married. She smiled at the joy she felt being married to you. Finally. Finally, she could now be called your wife. Finally, she could build a whole life with you - children, a house, a dog, and growing old together. Finally, she could grow old with you, spend the rest of her life with you.
There were a lot of firsts in her life with you - first love, first kiss, first time bringing someone home to the parents, and now, one and only husband. Now, there would be more firsts - first child, first shared home… so many new firsts.
She couldn’t wait.
Sana was absolutely ethereal under the night sky of Hawaii.
When you stepped out of the shower and to the balcony, still drying your hair, you halted at the sight of your beautiful girlfriend- no, wife. She was now yours, as you were here. Under the cool night breeze, her hair swayed with the currents. She looked like she belonged in a painting hung in a museum.
You were married to her. You were married. To her. You were married! To her! You were married to her! Equal parts joy mixed with equal parts disbelief, and you moved to her, wrapping your arms around her waist, giving her a tight backhug. “Sana-ya, I’m back.”
When Sana turned to you, you caught sight of her tearful eyes, with tear streaks running down her cheeks, as she smiled. Immediately, you were panicking. “What’s wrong, Sana? What happened?” Sana shook her head, laughing while cleaning her tears. “Nothing’s wrong, honey. They’re tears of joy. I’m so happy. I’m finally here. I’m married.” She pulled you in for a tight hug, a slow breath filling her lungs. “I’ve wanted this forever, to be happy with my life, my job, and to spend the rest of my life with the ideal man, and now I’m fulfilling all my dreams with you. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I love you. I love you so much.”
When she released you from the hug, you began to wipe at her face with your towel, giving her a kiss on her forehead. “That’s right, I’m here with you. As said in my vows, I’m here with you from then, up to now, and from now on, for ever. Everything we do, we do it together. It’s us from now to forever, baby.”
Really, you shouldn’t have said that. Now Sana was crying harder in joy, but she flung herself in your arms and gave you an even tighter hug, muttering an endless stream of “I love you”. You stroked your hands up and down her back, and ruffled the hair on the back of her head, thanking whoever put her in your path and let you gain the best wife in the world.
When Sana finally calmed down and went for her shower, you lay on the bed, smiling at the joy you felt having married her, and the love you had for her. Everything you said to her came deep from the heart. You were hers then, you were hers now, and you would be hers forever. The smile on your face only widened when Sana came back from her shower and snuggled into your arms.
“I’m back, honey.”
“Welcome back, baby.”
Sana smiled, giving you a peck on the lips, before she rose to sit on the bed, a shy look on her face.
“Honey, I know this is our second night, and we have yet to… y'know…” Sana’s blushing face was too adorable.
“Mmhmm, Sana, we have yet to make love to each other as husband and wife, do the do, perform horizontal tango-”
Sana squealed in embarrassment, hiding her face in her hands. “Yes… erm… about that, can we not do that tonight? Right now, I just want to cuddle you for the rest of the night.”
You opened your arms wide. “Of course, baby. There’s no rush. Come.” Sana made a loud sound of happiness, and immediately threw herself in your arms, making herself comfortable in your embrace. You turned to switch off the lamp in your room, then back to your wife, kissing her on the forehead.
“Goodnight, baby. I love you.”
“Goodnight, honey. I love you too.”
