New Place, New Opponent

“So, which one am I gonna fight on the ring?” you asked your manager.

“Well, it's not a well-known person, but I guarantee you that you will lose easily,” he replied.

You were confused by his statement and felt uneasy sitting at the back of the car. You trained for almost 5 years and had pretty good stats on your journey. Well, it's not like you won every match. You also lost some to strong opponents.

How could you believe that an unknown wrestler can beat you easily? Were they the GOAT? If that's so, their name would be printed all over the magazines and online platforms.

“You're not joking, right? What do you mean he can beat me easily? Is he John Cena or something?”

Your manager turned to you while waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

“I didn't say it was a ‘He’.” He bluntly replied.

“What? What do you mean? Am I fighting a girl instead??” You asked in shock.

“Yup! I'm telling you. She is a menace. Good luck on winning.” He smirked.

“Hold on! Did you just scam me?? Why do I have to wrestle with girls??? Answer me!”

Your manager stopped the car and unlocked your door.

“We have arrived. Grab your bag and head inside. I need to go somewhere. Bye!”

He sped off immediately, leaving you standing there.

You watched the car disappear down the street and wondered.

“Did he just sell me out?”

You entered the place and looked at the surroundings and were mesmerised by their interesting corridor.

They had a lot of posters of Women wrestlers with their championship belts, and then, you learned some of their names.

“Karina, Eunbi, Yujin, Chaewon. Looks like all of them are locals. Quite surprised to know that our country has talented women wrestlers.”

You couldn't lie that they are all pretty. You stared at their posters and noticed that all of them have an idol face type. Maybe your manager was right. You might lose easily. You didn't even know what kind of technique they would be using against you.

As you walked closer, you noticed that there were no male wrestlers’ posters on the wall. It left you wondering if you came to the wrong place.

Suddenly, someone greeted you.

“Hi! You must be Chaemin, right?” the girl asked.

“Oh, hello 👋. Yeah, it's me and you are?”

“It was such a big honour to meet one of the best wrestlers here. I'm your biggest fan. My name is Ahn Yujin but you can call me Yujin. Don't ever call me by my full name or I'll ruin you. Hehehe.” Yujin responded cheerfully while shaking my hands happily.

“Nice to meet you, Yujin. I guess I came to the right place at all?”

“Yup! We found the news from your manager about registering you here and I'm happy that we finally got a male wrestler here.” She answered.

“What? What do you mean by ‘Finally’?” You're confused and clueless about her statement.

“Oh, sorry. I forgot to tell you that this place only has female wrestlers and all of us are so excited when we found out the news.” She replied.

“I'm a bit confused. Can you tell me more about this place or this underground wrestling? Is it fine if I call it ‘underground’? I don't wanna make it offensive to you.” You tried to be polite.

“Of course. Let's give you a little tour. Follow me.” She walked ahead of you and expecting you to follow.

“So, I'm sure you have seen some of our posters on the walls, right?” Yujin asked.

“Yeah, it was impressive. I'm shocked that we have talented female wrestlers here. I should tell the industry about this.” You answered.

“Great, but we prefer to stay as we are. We're better without the industry because we wrestle for fun and our technique here is different than usual wrestling.” Yujin said.

“Different, huh? Care to share?” You asked.

“Hmm…. Well, I'm not gonna share the full details yet because I want you to experience it first but what i can say is we're not extreme but rather more to the something more passionate.” Yujin replied.

“I see… 🤔.” You're thinking deeply and Yujin stopped you.

“Don't think too hard and I hope you have fun here. Consider this place as your enjoyment.” Yujin smiled.

“Well, if you say so, thank you for the warm welcome.” You shook hands with her.

“Great, now here's your schedule and follow our guidelines. Your first match will be held this evening and don't worry. We don't use referees here.” Yujin said.

“No referees? How do we decide the winner?” You asked.

“You’ll see later 😏. Bye. Have a good day.” Yujin waved at you before returning to the main counter.

You waved back at her and walked ahead while reading your schedule and the guidelines.

“Let's see what we have here.”

Guidelines:
1. Fight with dignity.
2. Don't injure your opponent.
3. Everything has to be on the ring. Don't bring the problem outside of the ring. We don't want any arguments to happen.
4. Enjoy as much as you can.
5. You either own or get owned.

“These guidelines make zero sense. What do you mean I have to enjoy? Are we competing or relaxing?” The confusion kept growing inside your mind, and before it reached your limit, you decided to check on your future opponents instead.

“So, my first opponent will be Winter from SM. Well, she looks cute. I don't know if I can survive or not in this match. We just have to wait. I might get hypnotised by her face before she pinned me down quickly.”

You entered your locker room and unpacked your bag.

Winter was inside a cafe, drinking her coffee with Karina.

“Have you heard the news? Yujin told me that the famous male wrestler, Chaemin, is joining us. OH MY GOD!! I FINALLY CAN MEET HIM IN REAL LIFE!!!” Karina was practically kicking her feet.

“Chaemin? A male wrestler?? We never had one before. If this is true, I guess we can have some real fun with him.” Winter said.

“Of course! I've been longing for some real challenges. I heard his first match would be you. Why don't you check your schedule?” Karina said.

“Really??!! Let me check.”

Winter scrolled through her phone and found her schedule for this week.

“It did say I will fight him.”

“OH MY GOD!!! YOU'RE LIVING MY DREAM!!!! YOU SHOULDN'T WASTE THAT MOMENT!!!” Karina said it cheerfully.

“Of course I won't fumble that. Since he's the only guy here, I'll make sure to use my opportunity to make it better from the start until the end.”

You arrived at the wrestling ring and noticed there was nobody there except you.

You looked around the surroundings and waited, hoping that someone would come soon.

Surprisingly, the lights had already turned on and the stage was already set up immediately. You realised Yujin's words about the absence of the referees.

“I guess there's no script at all, which means that things will look very real. I hope the girls had no grudge against me and I'll try not to be too rough on them.” You muttered.

You pulled out your phone and scrolled the screen, finding your schedule folder, trying to remember your opponent's name again.

“Right… her name is Winter. She might be as cold as thin ice. I'd better not get on her nerves later.”

After a few minutes, you heard a voice.

“Oh, you're here already. That's good discipline.”

You turned around and found a girl standing behind you, wearing her wrestling clothes. You assumed that she might be Winter.

“Oh, hello 👋. You must be Winter. It's nice to meet you.” You walked to her and immediately shook her hand, trying to be polite as you always do during your journey at wrestling entertainment.

“Yup. That’s me. Nice to meet you too, Chaemin.”

“Wow.”

“Discipline? Perfect.”

“Politeness? Also perfect.”

“Good boy.”

You didn't know if she was being sarcastic or praising but her words somehow aroused you.

“Thanks. I tried to maintain good terms with my opponents to avoid hard feelings after the match.” You said.

“Cool. I guess the industry treated you well. You're more experienced. Please take care of me…….master.”

She did a full bow.

You also did the same.

You both entered the ring and got ready into your respective positions.

“Are you ready to lose, Chaemin? Because, I'm gonna ruin you.” She tried to taunt you.

“That's cute. Don't worry, I won't have mercy on you either.”

Wait, why does that sound too erotic? Chaemin, be strong. Don't fall for her sexy body. It's wrestling, not sex…..

“No mercy? We'll see 😏”
