Chapter 1

"Right, are you ready?" Y/n's co star from the same TV series asked.

Y/n nodded, his lips slightly dried however. He took a deep breath in and out, trying to maintain his composure.

"Don't be nervous, this is your first variety show appearance. Stay cool." The slightly older, experienced male co-star advised the young actor.

"I got this." Y/n said, switching to a cool face expression before they both all walk out together.

They were warmly greeted by the host and the cast members. "And for today, we have 2 of the latest trending male actors from the hot tv show 'The Unknown'. Lee Min-Ho and Lee Y/n. claps"

They both greeted and introduced themselves and their character in the show. "But wait! Today we also have 2 more special guest! 2 female idols who are going to make a comeback soon! Please welcome NMIXX's Haewon and Sullyoon."

Y/n frowned slightly, visible by the expression in his eyebrows. Both female idols walk over, beautifully dressed and smiling prettily.

They both showcase their latest song and talking about what their song is about. After that, the two idols went to stand beside the two actors and let the host talk more about the things they are doing today.

Y/n sees Haewon coming to stand beside him and both looked at each other. Haewon tried to flash a little smile to him, but Y/n nodded with a a small smile before heading back to his cool cold expression.

As Haewon stood beside him, getting closer. Y/n took a step away from her, earning a slight look but Y/n paid no attention.

"And next we will be doing trivia, getting to know more about our guests. Please look forward to it after the break." The host said excitedly.

"Okay, now we will set up for the next part of the show. So we will take a 30 minute break and you guys can have lunch first." The director said before everyone headed off the set to go to waiting room and get some lunch.

Haewon wanted to initiate a conversation with Y/n but he walked off first. "Hyung, I will go buy some bento from the restaurant downstairs. What would you like?" Y/n turned back and asked Min-Ho.

"Maybe the chicken one." Min-Ho said before he went to join the rest of the cast and talked for with them.

"I will get some bento too.Anything you want?" Sullyoon asked Haewon. Haewon nodded, "Anything is fine. Thanks."

After awhile at the guest waiting room, Y/n was sitting at the table and was about to eat with Min-Ho. Then Haewon came in too and greeted them politely.

"Hi... is it okay if we sit here and eat together." Haewon asked. Y/n continued unpacking, ignoring her questions. Min-Ho agreed, "Sure why not, let's eat together and can talk together."

Haewon then sat across Y/n and tried to smile at him but she got no reactions except for a normal "Hi".

Then Sullyoon came in with two bento boxes and greeted. She came and sit beside Haewon, passing her a spicy chicken set. 

Haewon looked at it and hesitated. She wanted to swap with Sullyoon but she too had a spicy chicken set.

Then Min-Ho talked, "By the way they said the trivia questions later will be questions like about things related in the show."

"Mm, okay." Y/n answered, looking at Haewon's face who looked in conflict.

Y/n's perspective

Haewon really doesn't like spicy food, is she going to eat it?

Haewon hesitated before she slowly unpacked the packaging and picked up her chopsticks.

I picked up her spicy chicken and put it on the plastic cover before I took my chicken teriyaki and place it on her rice.

She looked surprised as I began taking out the spicy chicken for her. "Here, take the mayo sauce too." I gave her the small sauce container filled with Mayo sauce, knowing that she liked mayonnaise sauce.

Sullyoon and Hyung both looked at me, wondering what am I doing. "I just felt like eating some spicy food. I hope it's okay." I said, looking at Haewon.

"Yes, it's okay. I don't really enjoy spicy food either. Thank you." Haewon said, looking at me with a grateful, relieved smile.

"Eat." I said as I continued eating and putting food into my mouth.

The guests walked back into the set where tables and chairs have been set.

"Min-Ho. What was your first impression of Y/n when you both started working together. And how do you feel about him now." The host started asking.

"Oh, at first when I saw him. I thought this kid looks quiet and cold, but once he got used to everyone on the set and all the cast members. He was very friendly and easy to talk to." Min-Ho answered smiling.

"Then Y/n what do you think about Min-Ho?" The host asked, looking towards him.

"Well, Min-Ho hyung has been someone that I watched growing up. He's been in so much dramas. When I first see him on the set, I wanted to talk to him but I was too shy." Y/n said, with a nervous embarrassed laugh.

"Well recently, not only the tv show that you and Min-Ho are acting in has been really popular, even the poster photos of you and the photoshoots with you has been really trending recently. They say your cold, fierce expressions are your charming point, what do you think?" The host asked.

As Y/n answered confidently, Haewon looked at him. She was looking at him, mesmerised as he explained how he managed to have amazing expressions, leaving a deep impression on the viewers and social media.

Then it was time for Haewon to be asked questions. They were asked things related to their songs and some of their experiences as an idol.

Suddenly the host asked, "Well, Haewon. The song talks about having a crush and first love. Did you by any chance, had a crush on someone or even a first love?" Haewon expected to be asked this question but had a plan.

"Well, I don't think it's suitable for me as an idol to answer this..." Haewon said, with a nervous laughter from both her and Sullyoon.

Then the host asked Y/n instead.

"Well Y/n you are still young and is very handsome. Did you have a crush on someone or had a first love." Making Y/n think for awhile before answering.

"Well I had a crush on this girl and we dated for awhile. So I guess that is considered a first love too?" Y/n answered.

The host then continue asking. "I hope you don't mind me asking. Well, what do you think of your first love?" Y/n nodded to his questions.

Y/n then looked at Haewon and answered, "It was sweet while it lasted then it was hard for me when we broke up."

The host tried to comfort him. "I'm sorry for that."

Y/n let out a small smile and looked down at the table infront of him. "It's ok. At least we loved before."

Haewon felt sorry for what she did to Y/n and asked him a question. "Do you still think about her?"

Y/n looked at her and thought for awhile before answering. "I used to... but not anymore...." Y/n answered with a seemingly uncaring tone that made Haewon sad.

Haewon was sad with his answer, tears were about to form in her eyes but she forced himself to smile.

She tried to think of some happy memories. Then Haewon remembered things when she and Y/n used to date, Y/n taking her out for dates.

The more she think, the more emotional she got and she suddenly burst into tears. She apologised and wiped her tears.

"Should we pause for awhile before we continue?" The host asked concerned.

"It's okay. Give me a minute please." Haewon replied, to which Sullyoon came beside and tried to understand what's going on.

"Unnie, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Sullyoon asked concerned.

"I'm fine. I just remembered some sad memories. That's all." Haewon said, trying to flash a small smile.

Sullyoon tried to cheer her up and pat her back at the same time.

Y/n's perspective.

Seeing Haewon cry... It... made my heart ache.

Oh... how much I want to walk over and comfort her.

Just then, Sullyoon walk over to her and comforted her. She seems to be okay now.

I let out a sigh of relief and relaxed. I leaned back, closing my eyes.

Y/n. Grab a hold of yourself.

After the trivia in which everyone had taken turns to talk slightly more about their hobbies and etc.

The guest prepared to go home. The host walked to them after the director had said a good cut.

They all said goodbye and walked out of the broadcasting station.

"I will get going. It's late at night now. Go home! It's cold outside." Min-Ho said as he got into a car driven by his manager.

The remaining three bowed and waved goodbye.

Y/n was about to walk off when Haewon asked, "Where are you going? Aren't you going to take a taxi home?"

"I'm going to visit my parents." Y/n answered.

Haewon knew that he and her families stayed near the broadcasting station since they knew each other since young and even dated for awhile . "Oh... goodnight!"

Y/n looked at her for awhile and then said, "You too. Have a good rest. Go home and sleep." Y/n advices, knowing how idol schedules can be exhausting to them.

Y/n then walked off alone, soon disappearing into a neighbourhood corner alley.

"Wait. I'm not going back to the dorm tonight. I'm going to stay at my parent's house. Help me tell the manager. Bye!" Haewon said hurriedly, as she walk off trying to follow Y/n.

Soon, Haewon found Y/n and followed him to see him walk home. But then he walks past his family's house and continued walking straight until he reached a playground park.

Y/n took a seat at the middle of the park. Haewon could recognised this place, it was where she and Y/n first confessed to each other and became a couple. It was even where they had their first date.

Y/n looked up to the sky and let out a heavy sigh. He took out his phone where he scrolled through his list of contacts and then pressed on Haewon.

Haewon could see his phone still listing her contact name as 'Haewon 💖'

Y/n then looked at photos of when he and Haewon used to go on dates. Cute couple photos taken together. Y/n then cried softly. "I tried... I tried so hard to forget you..." He mumbled softly, crying sadly. He had feel so suffocated and at the same today was the day that they first became a couple.

Haewon couldn't help but cry too. She walked off a little and crouched behind the bushes, crying softly, her hands covering her mouth, trying to mumble the crying noise.

Oh... how much did she regret losing Y/n.

After a while, she stopped crying and wanted to get up when she see a pair of legs standing near her.

Haewon, still crouching, then looked up and see Y/n looking at her.
