Why It's the End of an Era

Hey everyone! I’m back from my travels and I’m severly jetlagged and also deeply missing her.

Another week of Bunnthology and updates on random things I want to share and yap about. Hope you enjoy this week’s entry!

Bunn’s Unsolicited Advice Entry #2:

Do something long enough and you start eventually getting good at it. Create art long enough and you’ll see yourself evolve—not only with how you create but also how you see and respect the different pieces you encounter.

In photography we have a saying: “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” by Henri Cartier-Bresson; the GOAT of street photography.

Somewhere in Germany—Summer 2016.

I treat my venture into this space the same way—my first few hundred thousand words are my worst. I’m not exactly sure where I am with that but I feel like I’m still in the middle of it. Still figuring it out—but still willing to keep writing.

So Bunn, what is the advice?

Well, I know so many new writers popped up here in this lovely community that we have. Some started honestly, and some took the quick path writing with generative AI. If you find this hobby fun and the community equally engaging, I recommend that you start actually writing your first hundred thousand words and join me and the rest of the writing community.

I personally don’t care how you end up with the output—like how in photography some people prefer film, some prefer digicams, some SLRs, mirrorless cameras, and some using unique new tools to capture the moments important to them—what’s important to me is that the piece you present is a piece you can fully own, something you’re proud to say originated from your mind, from your words, and from your own color.

What I want to encourage you to start doing is to start actually finding your own voice, your own words, and your own stories. Stop fully relying on a collated intelligence meant to regurgitate generic ideas—let your fantasies, your stories, and your experience come to life in the words familiar and true to you.

Questions You have for me

What are your top 3-5 favorite movies of all time and why?

In no particular order:

• In the Mood for Love - Wong Kar Wai
  The cinematography, the minimalism, and the execution of a simple premise for a romantic relationship done extremely well. In The Mood for Love reframed my view of how love forms, how love lingers, and how love is extremely nuanced. There’s so many things I love about this movie, I actually kinda got inspired by it in of my pieces: A Fixed Point in Time ft. Karina

• Everything Everywhere All At Once - Daniel Scheinert & Daniel Kwan
  Another, in my opinion, cinematic masterpiece brought about only by the sheer will and creativity of the directors. I love how they tackled the multiverse and how love transcends those multiverse somehow. God also, that line: “So, even though you have broken my heart yet again, I wanted to say, in another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you.” God that made me cry so hard—can’t even explain to you why.

• Your Lie in April - Takehiko Shinjō
  I’ve watched the anime and read the manga for this but I feel like—maybe a hot take—the live action movie interpreted the story the best. Never have I’ve cried this much over a movie especially on my rewatches. Also, this is when I discovered I am deeply attracted and easily attached to really talented people. Beyond the awe one feels for a person displaying their talent, their sheer determination and love for expressing it enamours me so much. Your Lie in April provides me with that fix of a story embracing ones passion and talents in its freest form and then gut punching me towards the end with emotions addicting enough to make me want to experience the pain all over again.

What’s your preferred kinks in smuts?

I lean towards fluffier smuts more now is the short and updated answer. I do however catch myself enjoying femdom, freeuse, and edging when written really well.

Do you think writing helps you get off from irl stress or does writing fics are actually giving you one?

It’s mostly the first one. I try to keep my stress levels low for my hobbies since I don’t want to ruin it for myself. I do find myself becoming a bit competitive tho, not towards other writers but towards myself most of the time. I feel the need to always see improvement in anything new I put out so in that way, I kinda give myself some pressure to always be one-upping myself every time.

How do you get ideas on your smuts?

I draw most of my ideas from either real life experience or media I consume. Use that information as you see fit. 👀 I also have a Discord chat with @starconstruction filled with random ideas we bounce with each other. Love that guy’s mind and I’m glad I am able to share my thoughts with him without being judged and if my ideas get too wild Star does help keep me in check; one of the many things I appreciate about him.

Do you want Tsuki as your evil succubi or innocent cutie?

The Tsuki I first met was the innocent and passionate cutie-pie and recently she has been putting on quite a show seducing everyone that looks her way. For me though? I’ll always love and appreciate the cutie pie I first met and I know that’s always going to be her base personality.

How come tsuki pants during recent waterbomb stage didn't fall off?

It’s all an optical illusion where her bikini is pull up higher than where it was supposed to be and her pants being perfectly fitted to her waist and looks low enough to be barely falling. Also Tsuki’s waist are wide enough to keep those pants on. There’s also the possibility that those bikini and pants were not actually two separate pieces but one creatively cohesive piece. I don’t know, I was too distracted to really study it and have a concrete explanation.

Your eye for photography is amazing. How did you become so good at it?

Always bring your camera (it’s easy nowadays since we have extremely capable phone cameras). Literally every time I go outside I have my camera on me and ready to shoot at a moment’s notice. Keep shooting, keep capturing memories, and eventually you’ll get good at it.

Also, when using your phone camera—or any camera, really, shoot with intention. Do not just point the lens and click. Give yourself a moment to eye it out, plan your shot, breathe and take in the moment then click.

Are 6 inches long?

I’m not sure you’re ready to learn the answer.

End of an Era

Hannya: 認識 (Ninshiki) - Recognition’s teaser has been published along with the full chapter’s release date on August 8, 2026. Hope you give it some love and if you wanna be teased, check out the teaser! It sets the mood as to what the next chapter is going to be like!

This will be Thirsty Bunn Thursday’s last month before I sunset it—meaning only four more pieces left! Don’t fret, there’s a good reason I want to retire the Anthology and it’s to take my time and release more substantial pieces instead of smut-heavy long drabbles like the ones featured in TBT. This will provide me with more time to really flesh out my works.

What will happen to the TBTs you’re planning to expand?

This is exactly the proper avenue for me to release them. I’m not exactly sure yet if it will be an anthology of fleshed out one-shots like Valentine Drifter’s Days or something else. I do promise, however, that I will only release fully developed pieces from now on and not short snippets. It’s One Shots/Series or nothing.
