It was now time to show the club president the results of Jiheon's training. Thankfully, she is pleased with her progress as she felt like all of her hard work has paid off.
Jiheon then praised you for her improvement, but you just told her that didn't do much, as you were just guiding her.
The club president then gave you a script signifying that you and Jiheon will be participating in the next show.
You got a minor role, but you felt okay. At least there is no pressure for you, unlike last year. Jiheon on the other hand got a second female lead role which she tried to decline because she thinks she's not qualified enough. But you told her that she can do it because of the effort she put into trying to be a good actress.

After leaving the clubroom, you noticed that Jiheon is feeling gloomy. You asked her what the problem was. She told you that now that she's decent in acting, it means that the training you guys do after class will now stop.
You just laughed at her and told her that if she wants to hang out, she should just send you a message…
Jiheon felt relieved that you will not distance yourself from her. She then gave you a hug which you thought was normal.
But it was a hug full of affection.
"One of these days I will confess to you Y/N, and I hope when that day comes, I hope you will accept my feelings."

Few days have passed and you noticed that Jiheon is becoming more affectionate to you.
She will give you lunch, will accompany you everywhere, and will always hug you whenever she felt like it. You thought it was just "bestfriend" stuff so you didn't mind it.
You viewed her as a sister, nothing more.
One day she invited you to accompany her to watch her groupmate Gyuri perform on the first evaluation of Produce 48. You immediately accepted since it's a chance for you to watch Minju perform live…
And that will be the day you will unknowingly break a young maiden's heart…
The day finally arrived. You and Jiheon were pretty excited to go watch the first evaluation at Produce 48. You arrived a bit early because of Jiheon's manager giving you a ride to the place.
As you walked towards the entrance of the place where the performance was being held, you noticed the endless amount of people lining up. It was way too long for you to handle, but luckily since you were with Jiheon, you managed to bypass that insanely long line.
"Damn. It's really nice to have an idol as your friend." you thought to yourself as you were entering the venue.
You guys made your way to the front seats and decided to talk some random stuff to kill time until the performance begins.

After killing some time by talking about some random stuff, the show finally started. The people cheered when the show's representative, Lee Seung Gi, appeared on the stage.
"Damn the charisma this guy has is insane." You thought to yourself still observing the celebrity. You remember watching his dramas and you couldn’t believe that you were seeing him in real life.
After saying his opening remarks the show finally starts.
While watching other contestants, you noticed that a lot of them didn't get any amount of screentime, which made you sympathetic… Most of them sacrifice their lives to perform at Produce 48. and to barely get any screen time… It's unfair to say the least.
You ended up voting for the underdog teams along the way.
And to show respect to Jiheon for inviting you here, you voted for the team Gyuri is with.
And then it was the main event.
The battle of the Avengers team.
And not gonna lie, you think the members of both of these two groups have the most chance to make the final lineup...
Though you already know which team you are voting for…
The first team who performed was the team consisting of Wonyoung,Yujin,Miru,Yena,Hitomi and Goeun.
You were impressed by their performance, but since Minju is on the opposing team you sleep on their group.
And now it was the time for Minju's team to perform. Even though you're usually calm and collected, you cheered your heart out that even Jiheon was shocked seeing you like this. And luckily your constant cheering got Minju's attention and you saw her smile at you while performing…
After their performance, they headed backstage to know the result. You prayed to all the gods you know to let Minju's team to win this and…
Unfortunately, they lost…
You felt heartbroken after seeing this knowing that Minju gave her all in this one.
After the show, Jiheon then asked you to wait for her since she's going to meet Gyuri backstage and you obliged.
Though while you're waiting for her to come back you heard someone shout your name and
It was Minju running towards you.
Minju Hugged you and told you that she missed you so much and kissed you on the cheek.
You warned her to not show too much affection in a public place since she might get into trouble with it but she just shrugged it off and continued to hug you and of course you hugged her back and kissed her forehead along the way.
While you and Minju were having the time of your life….
Jiheon saw you and Minju being affectionate with each other…
She felt her heart being crushed into pieces with tears falling on her face watching you both.
