One-Shot!(Part 3!)

It has been a weeks since the “Chaotic” morning at LE SSERAFIM’s dorm. Everything had settled down, and their schedules had toned down a bit. HYBE’s higher-ups decided that now would be a great time to give the girls their well-deserved break. How long? Dunno. Somewhere along 47 days? So a month and 2 weeks to be exact? You’re not as busy as before, just normal assistant-manager duties you know? Checking on schedules, making sure the girls aren’t causing havoc wherever they go, blah blah blah.

So, it is another day or so you thought, but nah. The heavens above decided that today, which is a Saturday(where you would usually work out, go for a walk, stare at the wall, do ‘you’ stuff) to be sick! Your body felt “different’”. Not the usual “Hey it’s a wonderful day to be healthy” type of way. But “Hey, you’re kinda overworked, so your body decided to fail itself entirely!” type of way!

Your phone alarm buzzes nonstop beside you, gosh you really hate Apple’s alarm. You wanted to turn it off, throw it at the wall, or something. But you are too sick to even move an inch.

“Oh shiet— stupid dumb phone…can’t move my dumb arms—“ you try to reach out to your phone, you really do. That’s when you realised, your bed wasn’t really empty. You feel “heavy” as if there’s another person clinging to your sick body.

“Nngh—“ you heard a voice below the covers, “Oppa—turn it off, it’s noisy…” she muttered, sounding slightly annoyed at being awoken by your alarm. “You’re extra warm today—let me cuddle a bit more” as she snuggled and held you tight.

You gather every ounce of energy that you have to finally turn off the alarm. “Thanks~” she says, still using you as a pillow—

“Chaewon, I’m sick—don’t cuddle me.” Yup. It’s the leader herself. Kim Chaewon. Why is she in your bed? As if that is the most normal thing to ever happen? Long story short, remember when Yunjin asked if the group could “share” you? Yeah them being them, they made an actual “schedule” to be with you. Oh goodie. Has it been working? Surprisingly the power of the 5 brains when working together has surpassed you and they made it happen. Lucky you.

“Oppa, stop joking. There’s no way you are sick today. That is impossible, you are literally like a superhero!”(in their eyes you kinda were). Still pressing her face on your chest.

You lifted your comforter, only to see Chaewon’s adorable head all glued to your chest. Attempting to shield herself from the bright morning sunlight that’s filling your room. Geez you really need better blinds huh? Is she pouting? Oh, she is.

“It’s bright—“ she squinted her eyes. After a few seconds, she finally gave in. Slowly but surely she tilted her head up, smiling softly at you. “Hey…morning?”. she says, voice sweet like honey. Oh, she’s cute. Pretty sure your heart did a backflip right there. Puffy-faced, and messy hair that says “I had a good sleep”.

“Morning to you too~,” you answered. Voice raspy, as if you swallowed the roughest sandpaper known to man. You look like a mess, a very very sick mess. You move your weak sickly arms to ruffle her hair. “Still don’t believe I’m not sick?” you chuckled.

In an instant, Chaewon sat up straight. Your comforter is now tossed off your bed. She cups your cheeks gently and leans her forehead on yours. Intimate? Yeah. Who needs a thermometer right?

“You’re burning up—“ she says. “I think so too, guess it’s about I fell sick right?” you muttered. Slowly she pulls away from you and hugs you for a while. “It’s okay Oppa, we will take care of you until you’re all better!” she says while giving you a reassuring smile.

Oh, Kim Chaewon….the human you are.

So, you accepted your fate. Today you are gonna rest and solely trust the girls to take care of you until you’re back to a 100! Surely today would be a peaceful day right?

Yeah, no.

“GIRLS GATHER—! EMERGENCY CODE RED! HELP NOW! IMMEDIATE EFFECT COME!— OPPA’S SICK!” she screams, voice loud echoing through the dorm.

In an instant, four pairs of feet were rushing to your room. Eunchae and Kazuha were screaming. Yunjin had 5 boxes of medication in her right hand and a half-eaten yogurt in the other. While Sakura had her Nintendo Switch 2 on hers.

Kim Chaewon. You had one job.

So, here you are. Lying in bed, feeling like a truck hit you. On your left at the edge of your bed, Chaewon. She’s constantly checking if you were “breathing properly” and would force a glass of water for you to keep “hydrated”. (You’ve lost count of the times you’ve drank and pretty sure you’ve got aquaphobia now). Yunjin is searching the internet for “how to cure someone fast” and is constantly giving you “tips” to feel better. Sakura being the “Mom” of the group crocheted a beanie for you before tugging it on your head. Then she left your room to help Eunchae and Kazuha cook a meal for you. (God forbid the maknaes being in the kitchen unsupervised). Apparently, the beanie she gave you helped with dealing with your current sickness. It did.

“Do you girls really gotta do all this for me?” you asked them still unsure of the outcome. “It’s just a fever—it happens to all of us. I could take care of myself you know?” you tried to reason yourself. You felt kind of overwhelmed casually having five of South Korea’s K-pop Idols taking care of you.

“Nope, we are taking care of you whether you like it or not~” Yunjin said while poking your cheeks. You tried to shake it off but you couldn’t. Curse you fever!

“Besides, it’s about time we take care of you, right?……” Chaewon added.

You sighed, accepting your fate. “Fair enough, take good care of me then. I’m suing you girls if I die,” you said. Earning a soft jab at your shoulder by Chaewon.

“OPPA FOOD IS READY!~” Eunchae barges in holding a tray of hot porridge while Kazuha and Sakura trails behind her. Woah. It smelled good at least, looks like actual food.

“Zuha-unnie prepared this with me with Kkura-unnies guidance! So it’s completely edible and safe to eat!” Eunchae exclaimed while handing the tray to you.
