Before I head to bed, just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Soshi Day! It has been 19 years since their debut and I think it is hard to overstate their (and their fandom’s) impact on kpop. Other than being the Nation’s Girl group when they were active, they also demonstrated that GGs could be just as profitable as BGs and that GGs target demographic could be marketed outside of men. Their fandom was also pretty influential in building overseas kpop communities with their efforts to sub all of the content (and also working with smaller fandoms to sub their content as well) before companies would sub stuff. Without them the variety content we all love from kpop could not be easily digested by the global kpop fans everywhere. Anywho have a great week folks and hope you get over hump day.
