A day before Haewon asked Hanwoo for a date.

“Black coffee? That suits you well, witch.” Haewon mocked Gaeul’s taste of coffee.

“White coffee? That matches you, soy brain.” Gaeul returned with more insulting notation.
They’re sitting across from each other in the famous, lively, and common place in the earth, the coffee shop.
“What do you want?” Gaeul took a sip, but her eyes were still glued to Haewon.
“Why are you always glaring at me like that?” Haewon grabbed her own cup and took a sip before answering, “I’m leaving.”
“Good.” Gaeul’s only response…
“When? Why? Where?” Gaeul added, shortly after, silence swallowed both of them.
“The next day. We’ll be moving countryside just to reflect everything.” Haewon looked outside the cafe, where rain was starting to pour.
“Is that so? Too bad, I miss having some competition.” Gaeul looked outside as well.
“Ohhh, so you’ll miss me? That’s nice.” Haewon let out a small laugh.
“Yeah, I never got a chance to break your bone or cut you in half.” Gaeul shared the moment with her own tiny laugh.
“Be good at Hanwoo.” Haewon looked back at Gaeul, straight to her eyes, with full sincerity.
“I will, I always do—” Gaeul was confident about that thing—
“No, you’re not. Stop hitting him.” But Haewon had to remind her that her love sometimes hurts Hanwoo.
“Okay, okay, fine.” Gaeul understands it very well, she’s changed, but she still long way to go about showing herself even more.
“...”
The rain kept pouring outside, it’s… sad, like something's getting washed away very soon.
It’s Haewon’s presence.
“Haewon, thank you.” Gaeul took a sip, the last sip of her coffee for that afternoon.
“...”
“Thank you for being with Hanwoo and caring for him. He’s alone, independent, and used to be weak… I failed, I know it, so thank you.”
“Heh~ I don’t think you’ll be like this if I stayed, I might have won him over.” Haewon took her last shot to tease Gaeul.
“...”
“I wish both of you the best.” Haewon emptied her cup.
…
…
…
Gaeul left alone after Haewon bid her goodbye.
She’s quietly watching a leaf, getting washed by the water, the rain’s still pouring heavily.
“That leaf… It’s Haewon.”
The leaf disappeared after flowing through the water.
“If I wasn't here... Hanwoo would've been okay with her too, at least I know there’s someone who cares for Hanwoo like the way I do.”
“They’re fit for each other…”
The rain suddenly stopped, and minutes later, the sun showed up.
Ding. Ding.
A message from Hanwoo popped up on her phone.
Where are you? It’s raining, I’ll come to you.
No, the sun showed up. Thank you.
“Right, we’re also fit for each other.”
Gaeul stood up and went her way to Hanwoo, her boyfriend.
