Plus One

You are lying down on the couch with your girlfriend Tzuyu watching TV, with her snuggling up against your body trying to warm herself up due to the downtick in temperature recently even though it’s a few days after the start of spring.

You’re both watching a Spring Training game, reminiscent of your childhood, playing on the sandlots of home wishing you were going to be a big league player one day. During a commercial break, a notification sounds off on one of your phones. You take yours out and nothing pops on the screen, seems like Tzuyu just got a message.

You hear her typing away, responding to whoever just messaged her. You turn your attention back to the TV, commercials are finished and the action is back on. After the crack of the bat, and the ball is in play you start to see a hand waving in front of your eyes trying to divert your attention to the person its attached to.

“Jagiyaaaa.” You turn your head to your side and look towards your girlfriend.

“Yes?” You answer her and look into those beautiful brown eyes that always drew you in.

“Mina unnie is asking if I want to hang out and have dinner with her…”

“Okay and?”

“Well, the thing is, whenever it’s just us alone it’s not awkward per se, but it’s just really quiet. Can you come with us so you can strike up a conversation if it becomes quiet? I’ll ask Mina unnie if you can join.” She gives one of the cutest pouts you’ve ever seen from her, how could you say no to that?

“Okay, okay, I’ll go as long as she’s okay with it. Stop pouting, you’re making me feel bad.”

“Yay! I’ll message her now!” She then gets off you and starts skipping towards your shared bedroom, probably going to call her instead of text her.

“Oh man, what have I got myself into?” You say to yourself just as she shuts the bedroom door.

In no time you take a quick shower, and head towards your shared bedroom to change into a decent outfit to accompany Tzuyu in. As soon as you enter, Tzuyu notices you entering the room.

“Mina unnie said she doesn’t mind if you join us. Get ready quickly, we have to leave soon.”

“Okay dear.”

You head into your shared closet, flooded with Tzuyu’s clothes with a small section dedicated for your own clothes. You take one of your polo shirts and pair it with your black skinny jeans. You begin to scan your plethora of shoes and find the perfect pair. Quickly you get changed and head back into the bedroom.

“Jeez, you look hot babe.” You hear Tzuyu say as she scans the outfit you chose.

“Thanks, you do too.” She chose a similar outfit to yours, a collared shirt paired with blue skinny jeans showing off her figure from the waist down. You walk towards her and wrap your arms around her waist and catch a whiff of her perfume, slight notes of vanilla tickle your nose.

You begin to move your hands down, feeling her hips and slowly moving down and squeezing her ass through her jeans. You hear a faint moan coming from her lips and you begin peppering her neck with kisses until she gains some consciousness and pushes you away.

“Stop distracting me! We have to meet Mina unnie!” She begins to whine to you.

“But I don’t want to, I have some plans of my own.” You try and bring her back into an embrace but she keeps pushing you away.

“Stop babe, how about we do those plans when we get home? I promise to rock your world tonight.” That’s a promise you can’t help but accept.

“Okay fine, but don’t get mad if I tease you throughout the night.” You say as you stick your tongue out at her and head out of the bedroom. “I’ll head to the car and wait for you there!”

“Okay!”

In no time, you both drive off and pick up Mina from her place and head towards the restaurant your girlfriend reserved. The drive was pretty quiet, Tzuyu wasn’t kidding when she said there was a possibilty of silence. So you strike up a conversation that both of them join and the silence disappears. The conversation flows very well until it gets interrupted as you arrive at the restaurant.

All three of you are escorted to a private area and take your seats at a booth lit by candles.

“Would you like anything to drink?” The waiter asks as soon as you all sit.

“Can we get a bottle of Merlot, only two glasses please. How about you babe?” Tzuyu says to the waiter with the last sentence directed to you.

“Ummm, can I have a whisky and cola on the rocks?” @friskyriskywhisky:)

“Okay sir, so one bottle of Merlot and a whisky and cola on the rocks. Is that all for now?”

“Yes it is, thank you.” The waiter leaves you guys alone and here you are back in silence as you all scan the menu.

“Babe what are you gonna get?” She asks as she eyes the page you’re on.

“Well I’m thinking about getting the seafood and sushi combination platter since it pairs well with my drink. How about you?”

“Hmmm, I honestly don’t know. Can you help me choose?” She gives you the same pout she gave you to convince you to join on this escapade in the first place.

“Okay fine.” You give in to her demands and you hear a small chuckle come from the other side of the booth. You take a quick glance in that direction and see Mina with a smile on her face after witnessing the interaction you just had with your girlfriend.

“How about you Mina noona? Have you decided what you’re gonna eat?” She looks up from her menu and stares right back at you, hesitating to say something.

“Hmmm, can you help me choose too?”

“Yeah sure, I know what pairs well with certain drinks, so I’ll help you both out if you’re having trouble choosing a good pairing.” You say with confidence, trying to impress one of your girlfriend’s close friends.

“So you both chose to drink Merlot, a medium red wine… In my opinion what pairs well with your type of drink that’s on the menu is the rotisserie chicken with the roasted potatoes and mushrooms or the 1/3 rack of ribs with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli.” They both look at you and begin to ponder on what they want to eat. “What you both can do is you each can get either one and you can share with each other if you want, or get the same thing. It’s up to you two.”

“Tzuyu-ah, you wanna share?”

“Sure unnie, thanks babe for helping us choose.” She gives you the brightest smile she can give and you hold her head and peck her forehead.

“Thanks for helping us choose.” Mina says as she smiles at the interaction between the both of you.

“Oh no problem, pleasure to help.” You smile at both of them and your waiter comes along with your drinks.

“A bottle of Merlot for the madames.” He says as he places the bottle of wine on the table along with the wine glasses. “Whisky and cola on the rocks for the sir.” He places your drink in front of you.

“Thank you sir.”

“You’re welcome, have you decided on what to order?” He looks at you three as he pulls out his notepad to take orders.

“Ah yes we’re ready.” You say loud enough for the waiter to hear. “So I will have your seafood and sushi combination platter, the madame beside me would like your rotisserie chicken with roasted potatoes and mushrooms, and the other madame would like your 1/3 rack of ribs with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli.”

“Is that all?”

“Yes it is, good sir. If we have any additions we’ll let you know.”

“Perfect, I’ll be back with your orders.” He takes the menus from you three and you all patiently wait for the food. You begin to strike up small talk between the three, asking how their tour was, if they enjoyed being overseas and all that jazz. The food arrives while you all were still conversing and you begin to dig in. While eating it was mostly quiet, just the sounds of cutlery on the plate with the occasional small talk lingers for a small amount of time. Just small sentences of how the food was, if they would share some food was all the conversation that filled the room.

Soon enough you all finish your food and the waiter picks up your finished plates and comes with the bill. He places the bill in the middle of you three and three arms reach for the bill at the same time.
