Meteor Shower

No one really understands why looking at the stars is so magical, maybe it’s the thought of something so simple yet so pretty only presented when no unnatural lights are around, or maybe it’s the moon that act like a spotlight that make any couple feel like they are royalty.

one thing you sure didn’t understand is how did you find yourself here.

one moment you were at home, after finishing your last game of League of Legends for today in order to mental reset after a Yasuo player decided to throw your games two games in a row, laying in bed as you scroll through YouTube and the next moment you are in the park near your house, waiting for one of the most popular girls in the school to come and watch the meteor shower that was talked about on the news for the entire week with you.

“where is she anyway? it has been 15 minutes” you look at the time to show 9:15 PM, at least the meteor shower starts in another 15 minutes. you were sitting on the mat you brought from home and the blanket on your lap, waiting for her to come as thoughts began to scramble in your brain, “okay… relax, it’s all good, it is just watching the stars…together… under the moonlight….oh wow” your mind started thinking quickly on random scenarios that could happen when suddenly…

“Hey…” you hear a low voice coming from behind you, as you look back you see Kim Minseo, standing there with hands behind her back, her hair brown as it has always been as she wore a simple white dress, followed with a cute pair of white boots and to finish the look she had a cute pink small bag, you couldn’t help yourself but blush at her look.

“Uh…hi” is all you could say as she giggled, walking over next to you and sitting down on the mattress as you both showed a weak smile to each other

“Sorry i was late, i brought snacks” as added while taking from her bags some random snacks you couldn’t really care to remember their names “one for me and one for you okay?” she said as you nodded.

“it’s all good, the meteor shower didn’t start yet, so we have some time” you said, reassuring that her being late is not so bad, smiling cutely as she nudges a bit closer to you, your shoulders touch each other as both of you look at each other, giggling lightly.

“you know how much time before it starts?” she asked, look at you as she tilted her head ever so cutely. god, how is she so adorable you always find yourself asking that as you look at the time

“uhh 15 minutes…something like that?” you answer, sounding like a bit of a question as she nodded quietly, as you both opened both of your snacks and started eating you both talked about random stuff like how was your day was or how annoying the homework the teacher gave you for the weekend, when suddenly a cold breeze started hitting from behind of us, as Minseo just curled herself as to try and stay as warm as possible.

“you…didn’t bring a blanket?” you asked and in result she nodded while she looked down from nervousness as you could also notice she also didn’t bring a sweater as well, you look down on your lap to see your blanket, still haven’t been used as you take and put it on your back, however you raise the blanket in the side where Minseo sits at.

“want to join?” you asked the girl as she she smiled happily, getting even closer to you as both of you were sharing a blanket, looking together at the sky as Minseo’s eyes were full of curiosity, “is… that a first time you are seeing a Meteor shower?” you ask her.

“yeah…i never really seen one, people always do tell me it’s magical but i really wanted to see it for myself” she said, smiling lightly at the shining sky. “how about you?” she added, now looking at your eyes as you could notice how shiny her eyes were, almost to the same level as the stars.

“well…it isn’t my first time seeing a meteor shower, but it has been so long since the first time i have seen one, so yeah…you could say that it’s…woah” you pause, looking at the sky as the meteor shower began. deep inside you really couldn’t believe you forgot how pretty a meteor shower was as both of you could watch in awe how pretty it was.

And the fact you spend this miraculous moment with Minseo is something else entirely,

“Hey…” talking about the girl, now tapping your shoulder lightly as you turn to look at her, looking down awkwardly

“Yeah?” you ask but no response, she keeps looking down, now you could notice a shade of red on her cheeks “is everything ok?” you ask once again as she mumbled something, you couldn’t really understand what she said, but there wasn’t a time to think as she leaned it quickly, landing her lips on yours, as you were just sitting there, shocked

Her lips were sweet, maybe from the chocolate she was eating but regardless that feeling was…hypnotic, you close your eyes as you reached your hand right hand over to her back, pulling her closer to you. you could feel her smiling as after a while you both pulled back, looking at each other in the eyes as the majestic scene continues to play in the back.

“So…what were you going to say?” you asked, stuttering lightly as Minseo smiled at you as she reached her arms to your back as you ended up hugging.

“I…love you” she said, smiling nervously, her eyes smile as well

“I love you too” you replied, kissing her forehead as you went back to watching the meteor shower, though this time Minseo leaned her head on your shoulder, your hand was behind her back. as you think to yourself how in the end you did end up getting dragged to here.

But boy it was worth it in the end
