The entire business class went silent. Y/n felt his soul leave his body as four-year-old Ara blinked up at him innocently. Beside her, seven-year-old Minho was wheezing with laughter.
From the front of the plane, Yujin’s voice crackled over the intercom, sugar-sweet but deadly.
“To the gentleman in seat 12C… behave.”
“L/n Ara,” Yujin hissed, full mother mode activated, “if you finish that sentence, no cartoons for the rest of this vacation.”
She turned her glare on her husband next.
“And you. We are going to have a very long conversation when we land, Captain Joystick.”
Ara looked up at her mother with serious eyes.
“I’m being good so you don’t get angry and stop Daddy from using his joystick on you tonight.”
Yujin slowly turned to Y/n, who immediately pointed at the ocean.
“Wow, look at that big wave!”
“I feel like I’ve become a bad mother and a bad wife,” she whispered, tears falling. “You have so much money. I should just stay home.”
Y/n pulled her closer, wrapping her in his arms.
“You are not a bad mother. You are not a bad wife. I don’t want you to stay home if it means losing the woman I fell in love with.”
