“Jimin, I can’t–I can’t see the screen,” Aeri frowned slightly, watching half her health bar disappear after only a strike. She knew that her current attempt was already doomed.
Aeri had died to this boss sixteen times before. Seventeen if she counted the failed attempt where she had forgotten to dodge the spinning attack and got absolutely destroyed within thirty seconds. Her jaw ached from clenching too much.
She pushed her glasses higher up the bridge of her nose and inhaled sharply, her eyes burning from the screen’s glow. She mentally rehearsed the pattern, dodge left, roll twice, charged attack when the boss turned around. She had managed to get through phase one during her last attempt, but that stupid upgrade on the boss’ armor during phase two kept driving her crazy.
The bedroom’s door opened but she kept looking straight at the screen, bracing herself for yet another failed attempt. Footsteps echoed closer but the boss’ health bar appeared at the same time, making it impossible for her to tear her eyes off. Her fingers fled across the controller; dodge, roll, roll, attack, dodge. She had practiced that part so much she was sure she could’ve done it in her sleep.
“Aeri.”
“Hm,” she hummed, focusing on where the boss now stood, preparing to strike his first major attack.
Jimin’s weight settled on her lap and she felt her girlfriend’s arms looping around her neck. Jimin’s perfume filled her nose, the woody notes she loved so much hitting her nostrils. Aeri leaned slightly to the side, trying to see over her girlfriend’s shoulder. The boss was now transforming and she needed to know which form he would turn into to adjust her plan.
“Baby,” Jimin leaned to whisper close to her ear.
“Jimin, I can’t–I can’t see the screen,” Aeri frowned slightly, watching half her health bar disappear after only a strike. She knew that her current attempt was already doomed.
“GAME OVER” appeared on her screen in bright red shortly after and she let out a whine, a pout forming on her lips.
Eighteen.
Jimin probably felt her frustration and slid off her lap. “Fine,” she rolled her eyes, Aeri caught her with the corner of her eyes.
Aeri immediately restarted from her last checkpoint, adjusting her grip on the controller, rolling her shoulders to try and release some tension off of her muscles there. She would get it this time, she just needed to try harder, she could do it. She just needed to nail the transformation phase.
Something brushed against her thigh and she flinched. She glanced down, found nothing, and then glanced around the room. The room was empty except for her, and the only sound came from the hum of her PC and the sound of the loading screen.
Where had Jimin gone?
She turned back to the screen, unable to keep searching since her nth attempt was about to start. But she couldn't stop wondering where Jimin might have gone.
That question was answered soon enough. She could feel soft hands settle on her knees. Her fingers’ stopped moving on the controller and her eyes widened. The hands pressed onto her skin and gently pushed her knees apart, forcing her to look down again. She couldn’t see Jimin, her desk blocked the view, but those were definitely her girlfriend’s pretty hands.
“Jimin?” Aeri asked slowly.
The only answer she got was the pressure of lips against her inner thigh, over the fabric of her sweatpants. She could feel how warm Jimin’s lips were even through the cotton. Then came another kiss, one that was pressed slightly higher, and then another that definitely suggested that Jimin was up to something evil.
“Jimin, what are you–” Aeri’s breath caught. “I–I’m busy right now.”
On her screen, the boss was doing its opening animation. Aeri should have been preparing her next move but instead, the only thing she could focus on was the way Jimin’s hands stroked up her thighs, making it very difficult to pay attention to attack patterns.
“Baby I’m–”
Jimin’s palm now pressed directly against her length through the sweatpants, and that made it impossible for her to finish the sentence. She wasn’t hard yet but she knew that it was only a matter of seconds, she could already feel it twitch under Jimin’s fingers.
Surprisingly, she died again, from an attack she hadn’t managed to dodge, one she hadn’t even seen coming.
Nineteen.
Safe to say Aeri didn’t restart the fight right away. Jimin’s mouth was now kissing her length through the fabric, Aeri could feel the wet drag of her tongue. She unwillingly spread her legs wider, giving her girlfriend more room, and she heard the pleased hum Jimin made in response.
